I had Cool Sculpting done in 2012. The procedure left me demonstrable worse. It appears I am one of the folks who ended up with Hyperplasia. In The Skin Center’s defense they refunded my money with no problem. However they pointed me to Zeltiq the maker of the Cool Sculpting machine and process they use. Zeltiq paid for me to have a Lipo procedure done. That made no significant difference. And keep in mind here I would actually settle for looking like when I first came to The Skin Center. A year or so later, after talking to others who went through the exact same issues I found that it was possible that if The Skin Center used laser assisted Lipo I would have come out much better. This is where they and Zeltiq played ping pong with me. Each saying it was the others responsibility. Where I come down on this is that both parties should have worked together to get me back to where I was and exhaust every avenue to do so. Having said this I believe The Skin Center has the primary responsibility here because they chose to use that machine and process and it is they not Zeltiq who performed the Cool Sculpting and Lipo procedures.

Have not had a problem with any department except for the vein surgery dept. The staff there lies to clients in order to get them to agree to surgery. They lied to me and now I have tons of medical bills to prove it that I cannot afford.

I had a smart lipo procedure done on my legs and lower abdomin about 18 months ago. Although most of the staff was very friendly(except for one nurse post op) the procedure did not work. When I went in for my follow up appointments I was told how much better I looked. Funny how my husband or myself could not see it. even with the before and after pics! I actually think I look worse. My stomach is oddly shaped now. When Dr. Brandy saw me he must have agreed because he told me I could get another procedure for an outrageous amount of money. Money may not be an issue with most of his patients but for me $ 2000 on this procedure was a lot. Buyer beware!

After much searching and mixed results with another medical spa in the region, this is my new place for all things cosmetic. So far, I’ve only had a chemical peel here, but I bought a package of 4 for the price of 3, so will be going back. The staff is professional and very friendly, with none of the snotty attitude that I’ve experienced elsewhere. I don’t require the pampering and preciousness that often go with the medical spa experience; I want to be in and out as quickly as possible so I can get on with my life, and they move things along here while still being very thorough. They also carry Hylunia skin care products, which is a line devoted to safe and more natural skin care. One of the products that I wanted to purchase was on backorder, and the receptionist offered to put my order through and send it to me when it got in, so props on the customer service too.

If you’re thinking of any sort of cosmetic enhancement whether it’s plastic surgery or just a wee bit of botox, then I highly recommend you trust your body parts to The Skin Center. They are professional and courteous and will ease whatever fears you may have about various procedures. I see Lois when I go and she’s very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. Above all she’s careful and is empathetic to your concerns. She’s been doing her job for 12 years so you’re in good hands. If you’ve been debating on getting something nipped, tucked, shrunk, plumped, smoothed — you get my drift, then head over to one of their several locations they have around the Pittsburgh area and I think they are also in Ohio. I have been to an awful medical spa in the ‘Burgh but that review is yet to come as I still am seething about it and this is a year later. I need to gather my thoughts before I pummel that place.
