Stonewater Salon and Spa

Had a prenatal massage with Karlee. Karlee was very professional and knowledgable as well as being super friendly, I felt very comfortable. My massage was amazing! The salon itself is also very nice, clean, and well-​decorated, a very relaxing environment. Front desk staff was also helpful and friendly.

Always a pleasant experience and the whole family walks out looking beautiful. The customer service is excellent, we always feel that our business is appreciated. Love the tea too.

I booked a massage sight unseen at Stonewater and I’m so glad I did. The owner, Darryl, was so welcoming upon my arrival as were all of the people I came into contact with. My massage with Sarah was wonderful. I will definitely be back!

Finding new place. Too hard to get in anymore … Had to reschedule an appointment back in August and have not been able to get in since. I travel for a living and need a place with some flexibility to get you I somehow. Frustrated and done.

Best cut n color so far (yes, I say that after EVERY visit)! This time went blonde to blue :) I absolutly love walking into Stonewater. No matter my mood I am treated like a queen with amazing Aveda tea, a complimentary stress relief massage, a big smile from Ashley and a perfect cut and color from Angie. No way you can’t leave there feeling like a million bucks! no matter how you felt when you walked in.

I was so impressed by every element this spa had to offer, and it began with a phone call. The owner, Darryl did his utmost to get me a last minute appointment for two services. He checked with his staff called me back with confirmation of an appointment time.
The spa is off of a major highway, but one would never know that, based on the inside of the building. It was quiet, serene, clean, and elegant.
My first service was a pedicure, and the technician was friendly and competent. I felt very at ease and relaxed.
The second service was a facial, and the knowledgeable technician made sure that I was comfortable in addition to inquiring about my skin needs.
Aside from the sounds of a child who was receiving a hair cut in the next room, I was extremely relaxed and able to enjoy the service.

I appreciate Daryl, the owner responding to my review. While he felt discouraged that my one star rating was not reflective of the service of the salon, I would like to clarify exactly why it was this low for me [I do not typically leave one star reviews] and why it does reflect the quality of service at his establishment [of course, in my opinion].
Hair color is a process and an art which sometimes takes a few tries to get right even in the best of hands. I am happy to return to a salon if needed to achieve my goal. The reason I will look elsewhere is because of how I felt as a customer at Stonewater. I believe the spa experience should leave you feeling happy, relaxed and refreshed. My typical spa experience has always been a lavish treat for hard work during the month and I look forward to each appt. However at Stonewater, I felt rushed, awkward, and stressed at the end of it all. Even if my hair took some extra time, I have never been made to feel like my hair was a hassle at other spas. Worst of all, I didn’t feel truly listened to when expressing my reservations about the color to Christina. I felt shut down instead. If the lines of communication are not there during the appt, I do not see it getting better later. Part of the spa experience is of course the finished result, but the other part is how you feel during and after the process. I felt rotten after the process and could not grow to love the finished product even about a month out at this point.
These are the main reasons I would not return for color correction and prefer to simply try another salon. Stonewater may work for others, but after this first impression, cannot work for me.

LOVE this place.
Despite the hustle and bustle of the main road outside, this place is the picture of serenity. As soon as you walk in, you are made to feel very welcome. I did the «Ultra Stress Relaxation Treatment.» Sarah took very good care of me, taking a moment to talk to me about what I wanted her to focus on and what to expect.
I received an extremely relaxing hour of aromatherapy, soft music, cozy warm towels, and gentle massage. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a sophisticated, clean, and beautiful place to be pampered.
I’m already planning my next trip back!

I absolutely love Stonewater! I started going here based off a friends recommendation, and now am a regular! Jodi gives an amazing massage and really had me leaving feeling like a different person. I have been getting my nails done by Maureen, and she really knows what she is doing! I am so happy to have found such a great place to go to relax!

I never write reviews. But having been used to Old Town Scottsdale for all my pampering needs, I was a bit hesitant to find a new masseuse. I went today for a hot stone message… so impressed. Jodi was the first person to ever notice right away the I had broken my color bone a long time ago. I have scoliosis to boot, and she just did a terrific job. Best massage I’ve had in three years.
I’m really impressed with the entire place. They are relatively new, and I’m glad I caught them before they become the next big thing.
The hidden gem of the South Hills. Can’t recommend it enough.

I have gone to another Aveda salon in the Pittsburgh area a few times, but have been increasingly disgusted with it’s disregard for customers and ever-​increasing prices. So when I searched for another Aveda salon and Stonewater came up, I scheduled both a facial and a hair cut. The salon is intimate and calming, and all the little details that were taken care of really made the experience, from having a cup of coffee ready for me 2 minutes after walking in the door, to the hair brush, mirror, and wet/​warm towel for me to clean up with after the facial.
The facial: Amazing. Luonna had the gentlest touch, and my skin was absolutely glowing and ever-​so-​soft afterwards. I have already scheduled one for next month with her.
The hair cut: I’ve had a ton of compliments on it — Paula really did a fabulous job. She knew exactly what I wanted and made it happen.
I definitely suggest Stonewater as the place to go. I’ll be returning on at least a monthly basis. :)
