Pittsburgh Green Clean

My husband and I recently bought a house but couldn’t move in right away because of how filthy the previous owners left the house. With him having a full time job and with me looking after our 10-​month old we knew that we were going to need professional help to get into our new house as soon as possible. We decided to go with Pittsburgh Green Clean because they use safe and eco-​friendly cleaning supplies. We are so happy that we made this decision! They thoroughly cleaned everything that we requested so we were able to start moving our stuff into our house as soon as they were done. I highly recommend Liz and Holly to anyone who wants to freshen up their homes :)

We hired Pittsburgh Green Clean in May to clean our apartment every 2 weeks, so worked with them for about 6 months. I was generally happy with their cleaning — I think they did a perfectly adequate job. However, we routinely had problems with their reliability and consistency. They would regularly show up late, and despite repeated requests that they let us know when they would be late, they often failed to do so. They offered to take our key, so they could come and go and we wouldn’t have to wait for them, but we were asked by our landlord not to provide keys to anyone, and frankly, were not comfortable doing it anyways.
Over the last few visits I was starting to have doubts about their professionalism, which was confirmed by their complete no-​show for our appointment last week. This was the second time this has happened — although the first time they had an explanation: they said they had locked their keys and phones in their car, so were unable to keep the appointment or to let me know. This time, when they were about 30 minutes late for our appointment, I sent two text messages to see when they were coming, and an email later in the day to ask what happened and I did not get a response to any of these communications. Two days later I sent them an email saying I would be looking for another cleaning service. I have never heard back from them, although I did receive an invoice for their final cleaning!
I am really surprised and disappointed by their lack of professionalism, and would suggest you think twice before hiring them. Especially because the estimate I received from the new cleaning service (another eco/​green company) is significantly less than what Pittsburgh Green Clean was charging me.
