Great local park. Includes playground, basketball court, updated tennis court, swimming pool, sprinklers, 2 baseball fields, wiffleball court, plenty of parking.

It’s a decent, well-kept park with a few amenities. There’s not a whole lot to say about it.

A number of scary experiences here as a child that involved lax supervision, filthy, dungeon-like bathrooms, violent teenagers trying to drown each other(they probably all work for the city now, heh…), and pot-smoking lifeguards kept me away from Moore Park for many years despite passing it countless times. You are not allowed to skateboard, bike, or bring your dog here, eliminating many reasons for anyone to come by. There is however an Olympic size pool, a splash pool, a playground, a fountain, 3 tennis courts, 2 baseball fields, a basketball court, a wiffleball court and a recreation center. So make the trip if you must. Kay and I only visited Moore Park to release a furry woodland critter that found its way into our home recently, a big old tree serving as its Statue of Liberty. Good luck little fella in err… Brookline’s «other» park.
