Don’t be fooled by the name, the only thing «Special» about this place is how terrible it is.
This is a hood salon in a nice neighborhood. You can take the salon out of the hood but you can’t take the hood out of the salon. Hood being an epithet for ghetto. To get my hair washed and shampooed and then flat ironed and my ends clipped it took three hours. I even had to call in late for work, because I was left with wet hair for an hour.
The stylist was so rough with my wet hair, instead of detangling she ripped a comb through it and with her hands forcefully broke my hair apart at the ends. I ended up having to pay $ 50.00 dollars to be tortured in this way.
I dear not go back. I don’t want my scalp to be torn off with a sharp comb.
