The croissants are amazing. Owners are awesome and friendly. Nice place to stop for a quick coffee and cupcake with the kiddos!!! Must try the salted caramel brownies!

The worst latte I can remember. If you are going to sell espresso based drinks, please learn how to make them and how to operate your equipment. The baked goods looked fantastic, but I did not sample them. If I return, it will be for the bakery case!

Life is Sweet is a darling easy to miss yummy place you should certainly look for. It is on Bower Hill between Rite Aid and the Post Office. ITISAMAZING! The staff takes great care in the preparation and presentation of the most delicious selection of muffins, scones, pastries, lunches and beverages. Today I had a bacon, cheese & chive scone. More than satisfying breakfast. The scone was light and savory, so good I’m wishing I was not already far gone on 79. Yes, you can get on to 79 and 279 within minutes from Life is Sweet. It is a terrific LOCAL place that deserves full community support.

Cute little bakery, the owners are great! They are there every day and my co-workers and I go there so often they know us and our order pretty well. They do not have sheet cakes that are ready made, but they do cakes to order which to me makes it more special. Very good soups and sandwiches.

Remember where cookie shop was located on Bower Hill near the post office? Well, it’s now a bakery/café. The inside is newly remodeled(complete with granite countertops) and very clean. There are a few places to sit and eat in the front part of the shop near the counter. But the larger section of tables is in the back room. The chalkboard menu consists of: the left side with a huge list of coffees and other beverages, the middle with a list of all the sweet treats from cookies to brownies, cupcakes, scones, cakes and more, the right side lists sandwiches and the soup of the day. I ordered a ham, gouda, apple on a pretzel bun for lunch and sweet treats to go. The sandwich was prepared in the back and brought out to me on a tray. My sweet treats — salted caramel brownie, blueberry muffin and apple cinnamon scone were placed in a lovely white box. In addition to all of the sweets that are on dispay, there was also a display of chocolate barks which were already bagged. The quality of everything I tasted was very good. The only exception was that the scone was a bit hard the next day. The prices were VERY reasonable. Overall, this is a wonderful place to grab lunch or some baked goods. I’m sure I will be back soon.

I live right around the corner and finally had the chance to stop for breakfast treat with my sweetie. Had the bacon cheese and chive scone. Soft, moist, flaky, yummy! Worth the stop especially if you want something nice for the weekend.

Although I love everything I have tried at Life Is Sweet Bakery Café,(and that is a lot :) I have to admit that the Apple Cake is my favorite. It is unbelievably moist and heavy, filled with apples and the made-from-scratch batter like everything else made by them. The taste prompts memories of the 1950’s and grandma’s cakes(before store bought cake mixes were prevalent). Just can’t say enough about this Life is Sweet Bakery Café except I would recommend it to anyone who loves first class service, taste and quality.

Some fantastic sweets. Sampled some cookies and delicious cup cake with Raspberry Mascarpone Frosting and lemon pound cake.
