Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft

A shirt that I loved had a tear in it and I stopped by to get needle and thread.
I didn’t know anything and asked someone for help. She showed me that correct size needle to get. I ended up buying like a starter kit with some thread, a mix of needles and spare buttons. Cool little thing to have. Its small enough to fit in my purse. I also bought silk since the shirt needing fixed was silk.
The employee that helped me find needle also informed me of a 60% off regular priced item coupon on their website. I use retailmenot so I already had the coupon but it was nice of her to let me know of such a great deal.
My total came to like $ 6. Awesome. I hope fabric and craft stores never go out of style. This store had a mix of everything. Loved it.

Everything in the store was laid out very logically, and I was able to find the fabric I was looking for. It’s pretty much self service, however once I got to the cutting counter, the clerk was extremely helpful.
There were a lot of fabrics on sale, and prices were very reasonable. I was very happy with my purchase.
I liked their system of checkout lines, everyone waited for the first available register, and it moved very quickly.

This place reminds me of Spotlight at home.
It’s huge. It has a huge variety of items that are found in Spotlight at home too. From crafts, to homewares, to D.I.Y. projects, to fabrics to yarns to … well everything.
If you are looking for something to do then this is the place to go and get lost in. You will definitely find something in here. Especially if you are a one of those people that like to tinker and make your own things.

The best sales and yarn selection in Ross! Can buy a lot for very little $$

I’m in here just about once a week. The store is rather large and is always clean. The restrooms are clean too. They have a nice yarn selection. I also scrapbook and they have a nice selection of supplies for that as well. I would like to see them carry a larger selection of companies; however that is not something this store has control over.
I’ve taken a few classes for crochet here as well. Pat is absolutely the best teacher! I would highly recommend taking a class with her for knit or crochet or anything she might teach. It’s completely worth the price.
You can get coupons in your e-​mail, a phone ap, text messages, regular mail. Many times they have 50% off the classes!
My only complaint is the classroom size and sometimes you have to do your class right in the middle of the selling floor which is not conducive to learning (in my opinion) I don’t like to be gawked at while I’m trying to learn something or disrupted by giggling teenagers running around laughing and shrieking or crying toddlers who don’t want to be forced to look at fabric one more second.
So if they have more than 1 class going someone has to take the sales floor — that’s the only drawback.
They also honor MIchael’s coupons.

I generally only use this store for scrapbooking supplies, but the handful of times I have purchased other things (like the bits to make our Axl and Slash costumes for Halloween), they have come through on that end as well. The staff seems to love helping you figure out how to make your crafty dreams come true.
Their scrapbooking selection is huge. Lots of great stickers and decals, a massive selection of 12×12 papers, and a helpful and knowledgeable staff. They have a decent supply of actual albums to make your scrapbook as well. My only complaint is that they never seem to carry paper packs of just blue. I know that’s a nit-​picky complaint to make, but I am a little weary of having to constantly buy blues that come with greens or in a ‘primary color pack.’ (This is a widespread problem across scrapbooking supply stores, but since this JoAnn’s always comes through for me, I keep expecting them to surprise me with blue paper lol.)
Other than my little beef with the lack of blue scrapbook paper packs, I really like this store and their selection. I have recently been to their Cranberry location as well, and this one on McKnight seems to have an even bigger scrapbook department and more variety. Oh, and don’t forget, they have TONS of coupons available, as well as lots of sales each week in their flyers.

This is the mother of craft stores!
Huge! And its a good, useful huge because they actually have a good variety of items, not just 500 of the same thing.
