Bella Bridesmaids

Very disappointed in Bella Bridesmaids. Not even so much their selection, but the way they made me feel.
Everyone knows planning a wedding is very stressful. I went into the store with high hopes of finding gorgeous, short, yellow bridesmaid dresses. I REALLY preferred the dresses to have some lace material. When I told the two young ladies working this, they looked at me like I was crazy. They proceeded to tell me yellow was very difficult to find and that only THREE designers as a whole made yellow bridesmaid dresses. They also said I would not be able to find yellow bridesmaids dresses in lace anywhere. I tried on a few dresses they suggested that were highly over priced that were not impressive. (could be found at any other bridal store for 60 – 80 dollars cheaper.)
When leaving my planner asked them to send me a piece of yellow fabric.
I left there feeling defeated, and a bit stupid.
That night I found MANY YELLOW LACE bridesmaid dresses at David’s Bridal. Thank goodness!
2 weeks later I received a PURPLE piece of fabric in the mail from Bella Bridesmaids. Hm.
Most stressful thing I have dealt with so far as a bride. Glad it is over!

Bella was great from beginning to end. It was a calm experience, rather than a flurry of stressful activity. Gorgeous, figure flattering dresses for both bride and bridesmaid. The appropriate dress size arrived, but it looked like the pattern was cut a little too large — (not the fault of Bella) — everything was done to accommodate me. People went crazy over my dress at the wedding. Bella was responsive, polite, and accommodating. Perfect.

I had previously written a negative review about Bella Bridesmaids because of an unpleasant experience we had there. The owner (Bridget) has surprised me. Not only did she apologize, but she also made a very kind gesture to rectify the situation. She really went above and beyond to make our bride happy. She told me that she really cares about her brides and bridesmaids and I believe her!

The bridal party ordered dresses from this location April 4 and the dresses were supposed to arrive to us by June 28. Plenty of time to alter for the August 3 wedding. July 8 rolls around and we still have no update from Bella. We paid 25 extra for shopping and they had no idea when the dresses were set to arrive. We finally got them July 16. 18 days late and just about 2 weeks before the wedding. They recommended 2 sizes larger then what I actually needed.
Bottom line: I understand delays happen, but we should have been updated on the delay and they should have paid any rush fees we will incur for alterations.

Our experience at the PIttsburgh Bella Bridesmaid was absolutely lovely. As a native PIttsburgher, residing in New Jersey and having my wedding in Arizona… I was more than excited to learn that a BB had opened close to half of my wedding party’s homes! Bridgette, the owner, was extremely helpful and an all around lovely person to work with. She made it very easy for my bridesmaids living outside of Pittsburgh (Florida, Texas and Hawaii!) to order and receive their dresses as well. We ended up going with one of the Jenny Yoo social collections and could not be more excited about the style and quality.

I have always been a bridesmaid … okay, and a bride once … but never before have I ever been so excited to be chosen as a slave since the bride informed me that our dresses would be chosen at Bella Bridesmaid. I had never heard of the chain (which is shocking because there was one in my former home town of DC) but a quick review of the website actually stirred some excitement in me that maybe, just maybe, I would have a pretty dress that I might get to wear more than once.
I was nervous to let myself build any anticipation but as soon as I set foot in the store, I knew I could let myself go because everything was stunning. I’m super lucky in that the bride told us to pick out what we liked and she would go from there but even if I had to relish control, I’m confident I would have been okay. Between the colors, styles, and fabrics, everything was just gorgeous and glamorous. The owner Bridget was also AWESOME. She was super sweet and helpful and quick to help me accessorize so I could get the full effect for my friend’s wedding day.
In the end I wound up with a navy blue, one shoulder gown AND I LOVE IT (and it was only $ 250 to boot!). It’s going to take 12 weeks to get and I really wanted to walk out of store with it in hand, but I am not nervous for the wait. FOR ONCE I cannot wait for my next fitting!
