They did upgrade so now they take credit cards and debit cards. A few negative things about the place. They close at 9PM during the week. I believe for Summer they should have extended hours because they do have competition with yinz guys pizza which is a block away. They are open until 11. They are losing business. Even if they stayed open until 10 it would be better. No air conditioning in the place. And everytime I call the phone number it goes straight to a voicemail saying they are on another line call back. I can never get through to a person to actually order anything.

I ordered a bacon pizza and breaded mushrooms. Disgusting is putting it lightly. The was hardly any bacon on the pie and the pizza was greasy and soggy. The mushrooms were burnt and when I bit into one of them, my mouth filed with grease. I threw the whole meal in the garbage.

Best pizza on Brownsville Road. Tons of toppings, good sauce n cheese. Workers are great. I love their crumbled sausage topping instead of the large chunks of sausage that most pizza shops have. I got a large pizza with pepperoni, sausage and mushroom for less than $ 20. Hope they do well and stay in business!

I don’t really get the great reviews. Maybe its more the nostalgia of them reopening than any thing. The pizza bagels were decent at best and their«homemade» tea is basically lemon water. Both i could easily make better at home. Ill give their pizza and hoagie a try, but theres too much competition in the area(Sunseri, Amilis) for them to stand out

So happy they are open using Anthonys original recipes. The pizza is the best around. The hoagies are awesome. The Iced Tea is the original recipe, I’ve yet to try it Welcome Back!

**When you Google«Anthony’s Pizza Brownsville Road,» the number for the Millvale Anthony’s will show up. Be mindful — they are not the same Anthony’s. *** I used to eat here all the time in the 90’s. My family was really sad when they closed their doors. We were thrilled when they reopened. We got 2 large pizzas. One plain & the other banana pepper/peperoni. Delicious! Very thin pizza for someone who has never had it. The cheese is greasy & has a unique taste. The sauce is sweet. If you’re into that, then this pizza will exceed your expectations. Pizza Bagels are a must! They have a very different taste than the pizza. Personally, I think this pizza is best when you eat in.(They took down the wall of 80’s Hollywood Stars — Bummer). The cheese is so gooey and flavorful when it’s fresh from the over. It’s worth it to dine in if you have the time. I’m very happy they are back in business!

They’re open again! Their pizza bagels are my absolute favorite, and they bring back memories. I used to love grabbing a pizza bagel and an Italian ice after school or after softball games. I’d sit in the booths and stare at the walls that had millions of pictures on them. I even snuck a school picture of myself behind the plexiglass. Then I’d grab a gum ball from the big machine by the front door. They just recently reopened, and I’m so happy to be able to taste my childhood again. Their bagels are just like how I remember.

Very disappointed. Wouldn’t recommend at all. Got a large pizza. The quality was horrible. The sauce was not a good flavor at all. I had to wait 2 hours just for a pick up for this crap. Their pizza box was more like a diaper. The Pizza bagels were soggy yet burned. The employees looked like a bunch of drug addicts hanging out. And the Prices too high. Biggest waste of money!

Stopped in tonight and got a large Pizza with Peppeoni and Sausage. I called ahead would definitely recommend calling your order in the place was very busy but worth the wait. The pizza is thin crust and was delicious. Great new pizza place.

This is by far my favorite pizza I have ever had. I grew up eating this Pizza before they closed there doors for 5 or so years, and I was beyond ecstatic when I saw they were reopening. The pizza is as good as I remember it being. Be forewarned that this is a greasy, greasy pie and the crust is very thin. I know that isn’t for everyone but for me it is exactly what I want in a pizza. We ordered a large Mushroom and it was perfect. Lots of mushrooms and totally satisfying I have to say that because they have just reopened, all of the local people who loved this food have been coming back so the wait was quite long. I think it is worth it though. And since this is their first weekend being reopened, I am sure they will work out the kinks soon. In terms of the restaurant itself, they walls have lost a little character. There used to be a collage of black and white photos of celebrities covering the walls. Now everything is covered in this stone wallpaper, some of which is upside down. But, I do have to say that everything feels much cleaner than it was back in the day, mostly due to new boothes, and much brighter lighting. What can I say, I love this place and I hope that they continue to get the kind of business they seem to be getting now.

My sister and I used to love going to Anthony’s Pizza. It was a staple of Carrick for over 40 years. Recently it changed ownership and sadly the results are horrific. We ordered an 8-cut(medium) pizza with anchovies. The problem is quantitative. They appear to be using the original recipe however the amount of dough, cheese, and sauce is literally 40% or less of what it used to be. Anthony’s always had a thin crusted pizza, but this is now paper thin! I’ve been making pizza for years and have been to all the best pizza restaurants in Pittsburgh as a lifelong resident so I know good pizza and what is expected in terms of sizing. One piece was so small it literally fit within the palm of my hand(fingers excluded!) — we were shocked. To compound the misery, when my sister called to explain, she was not rude — polite, yet honest and firm, the woman who is co-owner was condescending and sarcastic and asked how she thought the pizza could be made better! My sister then calmly explained how the amount of dough and cheese used was less than half of what it should have been for a medium sized pizza. The worst thing, and this really reflects on the woman’s character and business ethics, is that not once did she offer an apology! Not even a simple«I’m sorry.» That is outrageous and inexcusable. This was no small inconsequential complaint, it was a serious issue, yet it didn’t even phase her. Also she didn’t offer us a refund, she didn’t offer to remake the pizza, nor did she offer us any sort of discount on future purchases. Needless to say we will never go there again. It’s a shame because Anthony’s used to have great pizza(I reviewed it when it was under the old ownership.) and we could have been loyal customers for years to come. Oh I should also note that the woman’s 15⁄16 year old son, who looks like he has no experience cooking, is the cook! Even still she watched him make the pizza and she herself closed the box and handed it to me so she can’t claim ignorance — on the phone she was incredulous. Also the ambiance of Anthony’s is not the same. They removed the venerable booths and replaced them with tables, took down the folk art collage on the main wall and no longer offer IBC soda. If they keep up these ridiculously small portions I can’t see them staying in business very long. This is Carrick, not Sewickley or Mt. Lebanon. People around here expect value for their money and will not tolerate what they are doing. I urge everyone to steer clear of the new Anthony’s. CAVEATEMPTOR!!!
