Alpern is now BDO. But the staff hasn’t changed. With that being said, this IS operated as a tax mill, with a very high turnover. Most of the employees are new, haven’t used the software and are most concerned about keeping their billable time down, NOT YOUR TAX RETURN. You would be much better off taking your tax work to a smaller CPA firm that will actually spend time to make sure your filings are CORRECT and often times give you a better big picture analysis to help you save money in the current year and develop strategies to save in the future.
