Stop & Shop

I never shop here, but on the PSEG website, they listed this location as a place to pay your bill via Western Union. When I finally was next in line, the girl behind the counter didn’t greet me so I had no choice but to wait for her to ask me something, ANYTHING.
I handed her the form (and there were no pens for me to use, a customer was kind enough to lend me one) then she asked me if it was my name on the form. It wasn’t, I’m paying a bill for family that’s at work. She said I can’t pay it. The person listed has to come in person to pay it.
I left and went to a Walgreens that has Western Union. Guess what? I paid the bill without a problem (no ID required)!
Horrible and lazy! I can’t stand liars! She just didn’t want to do her job. Her name was something like «Sheshilefa».
Now I have an addition reason to avoid this horrible store! ;)

Love this store… Has everything I need. Only small issue is customer service. Not the friendliest. But the butcher is awesome always helpful! Store is clean and prices are low!

This store has awful customer service. We showed up to the store 10 minutes before closing time to pick up one item and were told we were not allowed in because they were closed. When I said they do not close for another 10 minutes and we need one item the employee said she was told not to let anyone else in the store. I will definitely be reporting them to corporate.

Horrible management and staff. Unknowledgeable and unfriendly. The manager was arguing with me that a price on the item I was buying was the expiration date!!! I would love to call and complain about her but she wouldn’t give me her name and she wasn’t wearing a name tag. Gee, I wonder why. I cancelled out my entire order and took my business down the road to Shop Rite. To whoever is reading this, you should too. Horrible just horrible.

We are regulars at this grocery store! Great selections and always running great deals. Love the Stop N Shop card which racks up points for discounts on gas, too. The workers who run the deli are always SO nice and go out of their way to brighten your day. Extremely pleasant and kind! We once had an issue with a worker at this location and when we spoke to the manager about it, he handled it wonderfully and even offered us a gift card to make up for the inconvenience. LOVE this place!

Great grocery store with a wide range of goods. This is the place to go in the summer when you want sweet corn. The label literally reads «super sweet corn» and it holds true to its name. It’s cheap too! They have a good selection of herbs and mushrooms. Fruits are always readily available but only whatever is in season. Best part is they have oxtail! I usually just see that at Asian grocery stores or costco. But get those early… by the end of the day those are sold out.
I love how they have like 5 – 6 rows of self serve cash registers. If you’re a dork like me you’ll love scanning the items yourself.
The only downside for me is that they don’t have the pillsbury ready made crusts that you can just roll out into your baking dish. They have only have ready made crusts that are already in aluminum trays. :(

Worst supermarket I have ever been to. Dirty, items out of place on shelves, and over all, a very rude and non-​helpful staff. The self checkout is a nightmare, every item you scan needs assistance from the one attendant, who’s usually attending one of three other lanes with the same issue. I wouldn’t use self checkout if they had more than 2 registers open with about 6 customers in each line.
I’ve only shopped here out of pure convenience for the past year that I’ve lived in Piscataway, as it is literally 2 minutes from my apartment, but now I take my business elsewhere.
If you like an awful parking lot with no lines and metal carts rolling around towards your car at their own will, higher grocery prices, a rude staff, and an outdated store, this place is for you!

Wish this Stop and Shop had a fresh seafood section. To be honest, think sometimes Stop and Shop is a little bit overpriced, but it’s nice and clean and has a PNC Bank in it, which is my bank so it’s very convenient. The people that work there are actually really nice and helpful.

Their healthy/​organic food section is pretty good too.

This is a Super Stop & Shop. So it’s big, and has pretty much everything you would expect. The prices also seem reasonable, and their store brand frozen vegetables are also very good.
