Came here on a family reunion, and at first I was very pleased with the restaurant’s visual appeal. There was a beautiful white oak tree sitting just outside of the restaurant. The atmosphere was very comfortable with a slight elegant feel to it. I ordered the escargot for my appetizer and it was fabulous. After appetizers were brought out I began to realize how slow it took for our food to be brought out and how I always seemed to be out of water. The service was polite but very poor on refills and time it took to bring out food. For my main course I had mahi-mahi and it was very good but it was a very tiny portion. I also tried some of their meatballs and ribs, both were good but nothing memorable. For dessert I had a caramel sundae with their homemade ice cream, it was good but again nothing special. Overall I enjoyed the food and the atmosphere; however, it lacked a steady service. For the three courses as a family we had, we spent over two and a half hours there. The subpar service was the reason I gave The Oak Supper Club three stars instead of four stars. Overall, I would go back again because the food was good and I would hope for better service as well.
