As I was strolling down Mane St in Pioneertown, this studio’s OPEN sign (one of just a few) caught my eye and I decided to take a peek. It’s surprisingly spacious inside, with the pottery studio in the back and the front more like a little boutique where they sell a variety of items, like cups, mugs, magnets, as well as larger and pricier items. I decided to get a beautiful mug with turquoise glaze accent and wildflowers painted on the sides for friend’s birthday gift. At $ 20 I thought it was a bargain for a unique, handmade item. This is a great place to find items for yourself or others! They take credit cards.
STEPH JUDGEMENT: A real working pottery studio with a variety of beautiful and affordable items for sale.

Super nice shop in Pioneertown with some fine pottery. We picked up two desert-​themed mugs as gifts and a couple of other items for ourselves.
The shop was open during the week when most of Pioneertown was shuttered.

What a cool place!
We were waiting to get a table at Pappy and Harriet’s and ventured out in Pioneertown to explore it. We noticed this cute place and stepped in. The pottery is beautiful, they make it right there! We couldn’t resist and got a pair of nice shot glasses (in shades of green, beige, turquoise, one has a small Joshua tree drawn on) that we keep for décor since they are mini-​masterpieces. They were a great deal and they remind us of the great trip we had in the area. The artist who was making them sold them to us and he couldn’t be nicer!
If you’re in the area, check out this great store! Perfect place to get a souvenir!

My husband and I have been collecting Thomas and Amara’s pottery for years. We are proud groupies! Eating and drinking out of their magical and beautiful bowls is always special. They are a wonderful, wise, creative and kind couple with an awesome shop and whenever any of my friends head out that way I always tell them to stop by the pottery. They do, and they too are always impressed by the quality of their craft. Thank you Mazamar Pottery… we will be seeing you soon…
