Clay Public Library isn’t likely to knock anyone’s socks off with an abundance of literary treasures or a wealth of research material. This isn’t the place to come to complete your theses or to hunt down obscure Russian novels. At best, it’s a hallway of mainstream bestsellers. But, it sure is charming. The building is a restored house and is very welcoming with a patio of rocking chairs, creaking hardwood floors and white picket fence. Their fiction section is in the main hallway and there’s a small room of non-fiction, a children’s room, a dvd collection and four public computers. They also have a table of books on sale for 25 cents.
