I ate lunch here today, I have eaten at La Teresita in Tampa years ago and as I recall, it was amazing! So my expectations were quite high. I arrived quite early 11:15am to be exact, but I was so hungry! I ordered the roasted pork, it came out very quickly, almost too quickly if there is such a thing. A very small portion of pork, with a very large portion of yellow rice and black beans. The menu did not specify white or yellow rice, I would have preferred white rice, but I was not given a choice. The meat seemed dry and over cooked to me as did the rice, and I thought the portion of meat was really puny. The meal was served with some grilled/toasted? cuban bread, I would have preferred plain cuban bread with butter. I found the food to be a bit too salty for my taste. The place filled up quickly and everyone seemed very happy with their food. I would have liked to have had more time to explore the options on the menu, and I would have liked to have had a few more options on the menu. There are no potato options to speak of other than a stuffed potato, but nothing on the menu tells you what it is stuffed with. I felt rushed, it wasn’t a positive dining experience in my book.

This place sucks. Messed up my sandwich and remade me another one that had a hair in it. She preceded to tell me that no one in the kitchen had hair like that as she took it off my plate and was waving it in the air. AND still charged me for the Cuban also my bf didn’t get any refills on his drink that he had finished during an appetizer. NEVER again will I come here.

This is my husband’s favorite place to eat after going to the club. It opens very late and we sat on bar stools, therefore, it is s perfect place to get some food, a coffee and chat while soberring up. The food is good and they have good variety. My favorite dish is the roast pork. The waitress was friendly and attentive.

For many years, La Teresita was my favorite place to get Cuban food in Pinellas county. I used to come here weekly, after they took over the old A&W right on Park Boulevard. Their ropa vieja, picadillo, and shrimp in garlic sauce were my favorites. The prices were cheap and the portions were HUGE. Then they moved to 66th street and over time, my level of joy here has greatly decreased. Prices have steadily increased, and the portion sizes have become smaller and smaller. I once would have gladly given them 5-stars, but things have definitely changed.(Here is where my «nostalgia problem» kicks in!) LT stills puts out decent Cuban food. Good, but not great, and now exists in a very diluted form of their past glory! But if you were not a «fan» several years ago, you may not even notice the changes? If so, give them a try and judge for yourself(and check their website for some decent coupons)…

Usually a really good place food is yummy I love coming here. but the last few times Ives been the foods been room temperature cold. My grilled onions have come out chopped right from the onion and tossed on my plate. Like I get most of the food is pre made but put some love in it and throw it in the microwave lol

By far the best Caribbean food and sandwiches I’ve ever had. It’s nice and the customer service is great. Me and my wife have nothing but great things to say about this restaurant. A+

Today after a long day of bike riding we decided to go and have some Cuban sandwiches. I looked everywhere and everything was closed. It was around 6:15 on a Tuesday! I found this restaurant I figured we’re hungry and they close by why not?! WRONG! Let’s go and eat. We were all sweaty and tired and didn’t feel like eating inside so we ordered 6 Cubans to go. We paid and waited and waited and waited. 15 minutes has gone by 30 and 45 has left! People that have ordered food to go have come and gone. By then we were getting really irritated and hungry. We finally got our 6 sandwiches after about an hour of waiting. Receipt says 6:37 got our sandwiches at 7:28 pm! Sandwiches were very good though but the wait was ridiculous! Had it not been for the wait they would have gotten 5 stars! But 3 stars you get.

The food is extremely good. Very cheap. Family oriented, and you get your food most 2 minutes after you order!

I have gone here many times with various individuals for dinner and now lunch. I have even used their catering business for a get together my boyfriend and I had. Overall I think that the food is good and that if you want some true Cuban food you should give it a try. It has a lot of draw because the food is made to order so everything is always fresh. I think the seasoning are great and not overly done. The portions are usually pretty big but that’s with any restaurant. The location is in a very busy area but I will say that it does tend to look close due to the choice of black windows. I know I had passed it before I ate there thinking it was closed. If I have one tip to add maybe change the windows. I like the fact the people who come here are from every where and juts good to see that because it means that it appeals to a vast amount of audience . The service is usually pretty good but I can be slow at time depending on who is on and who is not. There are some slower severs than active ones.

This is not a real cuban restaurant! Some cuban dishes don’t make a cuban restaurant. When I asked about a tipical cuban dish named«ajiaco», the server told me he doesn’t know what that is!:)))…ridiculous, isn’t it? Fake, fake and more fake:(()

This is not an authentic cuban restaurant. I would say it’s a Latin restaurant, but not cuban. Food is tasty. Only cuban«thing» was the garlic in the food. They are definitely fooling everyone. Service is not good. Our waitress spoke way too fast and seemed rushed. She did not come to clear any dishes during our meal. We were a party of 7 and the table was packed with dishes as each item is served on a separate dish. Tip was included.

Hidden gem in Pinellas Park, even though they have been there forever I had no idea. The parking is not too big but if ordering out it doesn’t take much time. I ordered the chicken with rice and beans it was very good. Hoping to make it back for rope vieja soon.

I’m a pretty big fan of Cuban food and this place does a pretty good job of it, not great, but good. The bread for the Cuban sandwich is the best thing they have, soft but dense with a good pressed toasting that doesn’t rip the roof of your mouth apart. The rest of the sandwich is what I find pretty much everyone else offers around here, your standard pork, cheese, mustard etc, nothing to get excited about. I didn’t see any lunch specials other than their daily special, was hoping to see a Cuban sandwich with rice and beans special but I didn’t see one. Our server, was pleasant, but when I ordered my sandwich he never asked if I wanted a side dish. He also was very very absent throughout our meal, twice we had to flag him down after waiting quite a while for more tea and a side of onions. I spent a bit over $ 14 on a Cuban sandwich, rice/beans and drink for lunch. Like I said earlier the sandwich was good, but the rice and beans were pretty bland. Though you could probably feed two people for lunch with the amount of food that was served. Don’t let the exterior of the building throw you, it looks kind of messy, could use some better landscaping, but the inside was very clean and neat, and everyone was very friendly.

I went midday on a weekday for lunch. I would rate my food 2 star, but am giving three because the food of the other diners around me looked much better than mine. I had just an appetizer, Devil Crab Croquettes, and a Cuban Sandwich. The Croquettes(note plural on the menu) but its just one. It was deep fried and the contents were all dark brown. Basically the outer and inner were the same color. This is not something I normally order so maybe its all supposed to be dark brown. I couldn’t detect what could be crab and what would be other contents. The taste was marginal at best. The Cuban sandwich was fait at best, heavy on mayo and mustard mix it appeared to be. Photo is attached. I always look at what other tables order, and are eating and one table had the special of the day, masitas, and another had chicken and rice and both of those plates looked much better.

Restaurant was very busy at lunch! I ordered a Cuban — large sandwich, primarily ham with a slice of pork and salami — decent but not ‘The Best’ I’ve ever had. The BF ordered the roasted pork lunch and it was amazing — wonderful flavor, pork was moist and lean, topped with thinly sliced sweet onion. Saffron rice was delicious and plantains nummy too. For dessert we ordered fried ice cream — large scoop of vanilla in a fried tortilla shell, drizzled in chocolate sauce and honey with raisins and something crunchy(seemed liked cereal… raisin bran?) = delicious! Friendly staff and clean pleasant atmosphere.

We look for different restaurants to dine at regularly, and this one happened to be on the route of taking care of some errands. It’s located in a decent spot of 66th st, but the parking is a mess. The hostess stand, in a little nook when you first walk in, is a little outdated looking and could use a facelift. The dining room, however, was quite unique. I liked the open space and the focal point being on a gazebo type structure in the middle of the space. Looks like it would be a perfect location to hold a wedding reception among other types of events. We sat at a table that flanked the gazebo. Looking around, the décor was dated and a bit dusty. You can tell someone tried to put together a cohesive design, but, the theme was home décor: mid 90’s era. It needs some work. Like, a lot of work. Even though their website claims excellent customer service, I’m going to give a mark of only mediocre customer service. The girl was nice, but not very attentive. We had mentioned it was our first trip and didn’t get much of a run down of what the menu consisted of, favorite dishes, or drinks. We were told of the daily special and that was it. So, that’s what we ordered… Seeing as how the menu is written primarily in Spanish(that we don’t speak fluently) and there aren’t any pictures for us to point at and be like: «I want that!» I forget the name of my dish, but it was a Tuesday that we were there. I got the chicken special, my fiancé got the pork special. Both got black beans and yellow rice for sides. The prices were fabulous and the portions were very generous. Everything was cooked well and it tasted authentic. Presentation was a bit sloppy though. At the end of our meal, we were visited by another server who offered us drink refills and to-go boxes. At that point our initial server finally approached us to see if we needed anything else. We told her that the other girl had already handled our request. We got our check and left cash on the table and left. We weren’t given a farewell by any of the employees that were gathered at the hostess stand… They just stared down at, what I would assume, was an electronic device(phone). We might come back for the food, but the customer service needs to be bumped up a notch and the décor needs a serious overhaul. Just food for thought.

No es mi restaurante favorito. La comida no tiene el sabor y sazón que la debe separar de los demás. El servicio al cliente pero la comida no.
