This review is biased on take-out pick up and a first time visit to the location. I was highly motivated based on other Unilocal reviews. Staff was very courteous on the phone and in person while picking up my order at Apizza Brooklyn resto + vino. This place is set in a low light casual ambience with low volume Jazz playing in the background. They maximize the use of their space with quality furniture, décor, and lighting. That is my initial impression while waiting shortly for takeout. Food was so quick I had no time to snap pictures unfortunately. Upon receiving takeout It’s immediately noticeable the boxes are Luke-warm temperature. From other restaurants on takeout the boxes usually are hot to very hot to hold. I was concerned. This was a troubling sign at first, but after I reheated in the oven the flavors shine through with one caveat. The investment of quality peaked at the beginning of the pizza toward the center-point of each slice. The flavors taper off after consuming half the slice toward the crust. The additional downside was the dough quality in the crust. Although it was seasoned and flavored well, it was a bit chewy to bite through. I would have liked it less dense and will give it a second try while dining in. Hope for a better review next time with photos!

Very good brick over pizza. This place like others have said on Unilocal is a hidden gem. I’ve gone to this plaza to eat at other great restaurants and I’ve seen this place but never really looked into it. I’m so glad my fiancé picked for our date night tonight. I love how dark it is, adore the pallets through out the whole room. Immediately when you walk in you feel like you’re not where you actually are… In a plaza right in the Heart of US1. For starters, We had garlic rolls and they were like any other. Also had a small salad. Not too crazy about that. It was straight from a bag. Service was good. Didn’t take more than 20 min at that for our pizzas to arrive. Love the sauce on the pizza. It’s not too sweet or salty and it’s not a whole bunch either. It’s just perfect. My fiancé and I had two different pizza pies and they were both very good. I had the«brooklynite» which has arugula and prosciutto. This was my second time ever having prosciutto and it was very good. My fiancé had«da bomb» pie which consists of sausage mozzarella and pepperoni. It’s great for meat lovers. I preferred mine, I personally don’t like too many things on my pizza. Im traditional… I like to enjoy the cheese and sauce. We will be back to try a traditional pie and some pasta.

Definitely one of Kendall’s hidden gems. This place was amazing. The seating list is a little unorganized, but the flavor of their dishes makes up up for that. The fried mozzarella was mouth watering and the the lasagna left me speechless. The real deal dessert is a must. It’s a huge calzone with Nutella with cannoli crème inside. It really is the«real deal». We will definitely be back.

I don’t think I’ve had one bad item here. Faves: eggplant rollatini(sp?), chicken Marsala, all specialty pizzas. Everything is amazing!

Complimentary glass of wine while you wait for seating! Food was delicious and just as expected. Celebrated mom’s birthday and the staff was extremely attentive and sweet. Had a variety of appetizers such as the eggplant and meatballs. Garlic rolls are very good and everything is fresh. Entrees are plentiful. Loved the feel of the restaurant. Will definitely go again.

What can I say? This is one of my absolute favorite restaurants in Miami. It’s delicious and you just can’t go wrong with anything. The pizza is exactly how I like it, authentic Italian-like. For starters, I’ve had the eggplant envoltini, fried mozzarella, and burrata and can’t choose which one is better because they’re all DELICIOUS! The Caesar salad is great too! I pizzas we always order are the Margareta with ricotta and extra mozzarella and the spicy salami: finger licking good! To finish, this has to be the best tiramisu I’ve ever had! It’s light and fluffy and just so delicious. I have never liked tiramisu but this one is just THAT good. Expect a pricey bill at the end but SO worth it!

In the short 26 years of living on this fabulous foodie land. This has got to be THEBEST Italiano grub I’ve ever had the pleasure of gracing my tastebuds with. The spaghetti and meatballs are without a doubt glorious. I also subbed pink sauce for marinara. This place is a gem. Do yourself a favor and hit it up!

Really disappointed during my last visit. We came in for an early dinner and it was pretty dead. My friend and I felt rushed by the staff most of the time and towards the end, it just got really annoying. They were just constantly clearing off our table and it often interrupted our conversation and made us feel rushed. At the end of dinner, our waiter essentially stood across from the table, staring at us, waiting for us to finish our drinks and leave. I found that especially rude and unpleasant.

First time visit! Finally had the chance to get a table for dinner without waiting much on a Friday night. Every other time I’ve tried to eat here the wait time’s been more than we could wait. We tried the pizza of the day. It was really good — can’t remember everything it had on it but it had grilled onions and sausage. We also had a nice pasta with seafood(like a bouillabaisse)…definitely order again. The service was also excellent. The server came quickly to table, brought out drinks out quicky too, & came around to check up on how our meal was going throughout. Can’t wait to go back!

Good but not great pizza. So Miami is springing up with more high brow pizza joints than you can shake your stick at these days. Places that seem determined to raise the level of pizza to new culinary heights. And prices. This one has been around for awhile. And it falls right in with the bulk of them. Good but not great. Ordered the Brooklyn style(still not sure exactly what that is!) The crust was on the thinnish side, for what I was hoping would be a New York style pie. Not quite crackery like some others, but still not truly NY either. The sauce was good and the cheese and toppings were nice. Using fresh jalapenos was a great touch. Really upped the ante with the pineapples. Unfortunately, I won’t be writing home to Momma about this pizza. For the price, it just wasn’t what I was hoping it would be. I know people love this place but for me, the search for the perfect slice shall continue.

This plaza has a lot of hidden gems and Apizza Brooklyn Resto + Vino is definitely one of them. If you’re looking for a Mom and Pops Italian restaurant then you have found the right location. I’ve ordered the calamari appetizer, muscle marinara pasta, lasagna, garlic rolls and the real deal dessert so far. I haven’t been disappointed and I always look forward to visiting when I’m hungry for Italian food. What keeps me coming back to Apizza Brooklyn Resto + Vino aside from the delicious food is the customer service. The employees will check up on you to see how your entrees came out and to pack your leftovers afterwards. You really don’t find this type of service anymore in restaurants. So I appreciate each employee that has gone above and beyond. Hopefully on my next visit i’ll be able to try their pizza. I somehow wind up ordering pasta each time.

Now I can understand why this place gets totally packed every single weekend! Almost everything at Apizza is completely homemade from their pizza dough, to their garlic rolls, to the salads, and to the entrees. First of all, the arugula salad is huge and so fresh with minimal ingredients but incredibly tasty. The pizza’s are really just fantastic with awesome ingredients and freshness that bursts through the flavor. The nonna chicken was really delicious as well and perfectly seasoned. Furthermore, the service was A+ and they wonderfully accommodated my husband’s soy allergy. He can eat basically everything here. We will be back for sure!

This has been the most delicious Italian food in Miami… amazing service(loved our waiter)…service was quick… meals were spectacular. Ordered the house white wine(California — delicious), garlic rolls, special octopus salad, chicken a la nonna(without peas), chicken Marsala, spaghetti and meatballs, and chicken fettuccini Alfredo(adult portion for my son)…sealed it with an amazing dessert: the real deal Home style Italian cooking was amazing and couldn’t be better! Highly recommended!

WOW! I love finding new places that I like. This was my first time here and it was a wonderful dining experience. We had a late lunch, and it wasn’t too crowded. Our server, JOHN, was exceptional! Really exceptional! We ordered the garlic knots — delicious. The olive oil they were in was particularly good! Then, we had a margarita pizza. I ordered it «well-done» and they made it well-done(I love it when restaurants listen to my request). The pizza was very good — light and fresh. There’s a lot on the menu besides pizza(pastas, salads, etc), and there are a couple different styles of pizza; next time, I will try a different one. Then came dessert … a «special» was lemon cake. OMG, SOOOO good. I can’t even describe how wonderful it was. It was a tad on the pricey side($ 9), but I think worth it. The pizza and garlic knots were very reasonably priced. Parking is free here(little crowded, but you can almost always find a spot), and the ambiance was perfect. The place is small, but the décor — with all the wood — is SO cool, I really loved the inside(see my photos). The restaurant, including the bathroom, was super-clean. Loved it, loved it. All good and I’ll be back!

I’m not really familiar with any restaurants near the Falls so I decided to see what’s nearby using Unilocal. We were craving Italian for lunch and this place had decent reviews. It was already around 2pm so we were afraid that their lunch service was already over but luckily they were open the entire day. Walked in, greeted right away and was seated at a booth. Place was empty… only had 2 other tables filled. The décor had old world charm, brown hues and wood finishes. Our server was very polite and explained each special they were offering that day. We started with the bruschetta. It was garlicky and fresh. The bread was crunchy but not hard. Then comes the complimentary garlic bread. Baked fresh, hot and also garlicky. So much for our breath after we’re done eating here… lol! I decided to try one of the fish specials. Seabass w/mushroom risotto. The fish was moist and tender and the risotto was perfectly cooked. Sauce was well balanced. My friend ordered the chicken francaise. It wasn’t on the menu but they are more than willing to prepare any familiar Italian dish. That’s good service. I will consider coming back here but it’s a little far from where I live and work. One thing for sure is that our experience was more than satisfactory minus the crowd.

I didn’t know what to expect when I came here but after reading the reviews and being in the area, I just had to come and try the Pear Ravioli that my cousin kept speaking of. Small and Quaint yet full of substance(and a line) I immediately thought the food must have been great for so many people to flock to one tiny restaurant and wait for a table. We were seated after perhaps 15 minutes. At one of the outdoor tables. Our waiter was Michael and he was so nice! Knew everything off the top of his head. We started with a bottle of Lambrusco and cheered away as we ate and were merry. Afterwards, I went with the Veal Saltimboca which had a sliver of prosciutto over a crispy thin veal cutlet smothered in a lemon butter sauce with a butter herby texture to it. I scraped the plate. My cousin had the chicken milanese which I almost ordered instead. I thought it looked super awesome and had a portion to try. HOLYCANOLLI! It was awesome! I originally wanted it as a takeout desert but once I saw it I just couldn’t hold back. It was perfectly crunchy yet deliciously creamy inside. Seriously made my intestines smile. My boyfriend grew up in Sicily and he always tells me about the Italian food over there and his fond admiration for Canolli. I had to represent. Only downside is that their Parmesan cheese isn’t fresh and the side salad looks like they could do ALOT better. I love everything else though. The owner seemed very nice and reminded me of someone I know. Overall, I would totally come here again but I wouldn’t lie to you… I’ll bring my own parm.
