Had a wonderful toasted sandwich here along with an excellent cup of homemade soup. They also have ice cream and cookies. Nice meal, nice service, a really good experience.

I work nearby and decided to try something new to town. Mountain Dream is advertised as an ice cream parlor, but they have so much more. Hot and cold sandwiches, salads, wraps and soups. I had the Philly cheese steak wrap and it was wonderful. My wife had a ham and cheese sandwich and said the same. The owner was very nice. The atmosphere is calm with a great veiw. I will return and sample more of the menu.

We LOVE Mountain Dream Café and Ice Cream. My family has a cabin in Pine Mountain Club, and we go up multiple times a year. Every time we’re up, we ALWAYS make a stop here because they have Thrify’s ice cream! In addition to the ice cream, they have a pretty big menu with different kinds of sandwiches, soups, smoothies and even lemonade made from scratch. I look forward to trying their philly cheese steak panini on my next visit! If you’re in Pine Mountain Club, do yourself a favor and visit the Mountain Dream Café!!!

This place is awesome. The owners were super friendly and helpful. My husband, son and I stopped in for some ice cream and to our surprise they sell thrifty’s ice cream which happens to be our FAVORITE. What also makes this place so cool and unique is that they make all their soups, smoothies, lemonade and many sandwhiches from scratch. They have gluten free, organic and vegan options as well. Overall this place is a steal! Great ice cream, great food and friendly owners.

Small town ice cream parlor… I was expecting something homemade to try. But they don’t have homemade ice cream… what they have is Thrifty Ice Cream. Their menu include some sandwiches, soup, and smoothies. It’s a small shop with cute décor, pink stools and friendly owners that serve you! I don’t mind coming back here at all.

Its hard to complain about a simple ice cream shop. They have Thrifty ice cream and sherbert, and cups, cones, sugar cones and waffle cones (for $ 1 more). There were a handful of toppings, but I didn’t get any as I only wanted Chocolate Malted Crunch ;) They also offered smoothies, fresh lemonade, sandwiches, soup and a few other lunch type items. We didn’t get anything, but ice cream ($ 2 for a hefty scoop) and that was good enough for me.
The shop is owned by a local young couple, and they’re super sweet. Will definitely be back!
We’d love some dairy free or gluten free options as my boyfriend can’t do either, but I know that’s a lot to ask in a small community.
