Can’t comment on the service… There was none. Seated first, two others waited on without even an acknowledgement that I was visible… AT THE COUNTER!
Never again.

Basic, no– nonsense diner with American and Greek menu items. Breakfast is served all day. My gyro was jam– packed with meat; good tzaziki sauce. The lemon rice soup was also good. Service started out somewhat perfunctory, but the waitress warmed up as the meal went on.

The food was solid, but my meal didn’t come with all the sides it was supposed to– I wish I had checked the bag before I left, because it was on my way home and wasn’t worth a drive all the way back to get the vegetables and bread and butter. Check your carry-​out orders before you leave, and read the menu closely to see if you got everything!

I was a little concerned about coming here based on the mediocre reviews posted lately on Unilocal.Some claimed the place was not as clean as it ought to be, some said servers were inattentive, and so on. As it turns out, we went there earlier today (Mother’s Day) during the lunch hour to have a late breakfast. (Mimi’s serves breakfast all day.) We were greeted courteously, seated promptly even though the place was packed, and given a fresh cut tulip in commemoration of the holiday. The restaurant is a diner (single large room with booths around the outside and tables on the floor — and laid out in a way which is efficient but not cramped. All tables and booth components (including back and seat cushions) were in good condition and — everything (tables, chairs, dishes, utensils, and what not) was clean, light colored (giving the place an airy feel), and gave me full confidence that cleanliness is at or above par. Our waitress (Amanda) was very pleasant, informative, and exactly as attentive during our meal as was needed. She was not hovering (as if she would have had the time to) but my coffee cup never went empty either. I had a traditional heart attack breakfast e.g.eggs, hash browns, toast, and 3 meats (ham, bacon, sausage) in which everything was cooked to perfection and which I could just barely finish for something less than $ 7. My wife ordered a gyro omelet which was as large as the plate itself for about the same price, which came with hash browns and toast and was also cooked to perfection. Her omelet was –packed– with feta cheese and gyro meat and came with a very ample portion of cucumber dressing in a plastic container on the side — WHICH WE DIDN’T HAVE TO ASK FOR, which is unfortunately not the case in many/​most other places. We never felt rushed even though the place was filled to the brim with customers the whole time we were there and everyone we engaged with was as pleasant and as helpful as could be. Total bill came to just under $ 20 (2x$ 7 plus 2X$ 2 each for bottomless cup GOOD coffee plus tax. I cannot say anything about what lunch, dinner, or other servers might be like since this was our first time there, but I would certainly recommend the place without reservation for Sunday breakfast and given the level of service and quality of food we received when the place was as busy as it was, would be surprised to be disappointed at some other time or meal.

Pretty overrated. Nothing really out of the ordinary for this place to mess up your order. 4 out of 5 times had a bad experience.

Fast service good food great staff. We got the normal breakfast hash brown eggs and bacon. My partner got a mushroom burger she loved it. The lady that was waited us was fast

Walked out the other day due to no service, waiters were soo busy bickering and complaining. Food quality has gone downhill, place is dirty and management is not effective!

Nothing pretentious here, just good home cooked food at a reasonable price. Clean place with fast service – thanks we will be back…

The food was great ! I ordered the sand dollar pancakes (they were a little bigger than expected) but they were delicious. The iced tea was also very good ;)

The food is good and it’s a great place to get lunch with friends. My only issue, and I know it’s nit picking, but the servers seem angry or irritated with everything you say and give off an attitude. If I ask for something with no tomato I get an exasperated sigh like it’s such a giant hassle. I’ve also had a few experiences where they vacuum under my chair while I’m sitting in it. It’s a nice price, nice food, and a central location for people from Pinckney and Brighton to meet in the middle, but the servers are not warm or welcoming.

Average small diner, service is average, food is average and the prices are average. I ordered a carry out today and the person who took my order seemed rushed and was not helpful in answering questions I had. When I picked up order and got it home I found that they gave me the wrong soup.

Huge disappointment. Continues to have management issues. Inconsistent food prep high staff turn-​over. Served a gyro with the smallest amount of meat I’ve ever seen. (I paid for extra meat received less than normal??) On our previous visit my wife was served really old corn beef. If the owner /​cook with the silver hair flattop is in the kitchen just walk away. He blames all of his often mistakes on the staff. (Shouts from kitchen, rudely.) Food missing from carry out order. All the signs of management that only cares about what they collect. Employees and customers are not a concern. Their other family locations don’t have these issues. Must be a local problem.

After 52 check ins here I came in today to find Fox news on 2 of the TVs So I’m very very very disappointed! I did ask to change the station and they did. thanks

The Maurice Salad is delicious! Generous, but not too much.
The only thing that reminds me of a coney island is the menu, otherwise, this is a very attractive diner decorated in earth tones and very clean. The waitresses had matching t-​shirts that looked great on all of them. My first thought is that the owner must be into ‘neat and tidy’.
The menu is extensive, very good wait staff and good food. They were quick to refill my diet Coke and check with me continuously.
Bravo!

Ok. So we love this place. We eat here often. Maybe once a week. I can’t think of Anything we don’t like. Our latest find is the bread pudding. It’s amazing.

Have been coming to Mimi’s since they opened. We come for both breakfast and dinners. Great breakfast specials. Food is very good and it is prepared and served quickly. There are many choices on the menu, so even the pickiest eater should be able to find something to eat. Excellent value for the money. Portion sizes are good.

Appears to be good food until you taste it. Dirty. Wait staff seemed forgetful and for such a small place can’t seem to see your out of tea or water. Not really friendly.

Mimi’s is great all around, its clean, friendly staff, very reasonable prices, food is consistantly way above average. I totally recommend Mimi’s, and for a diner, I give it 5 stars.

Mimi’s diner is exactly what a diner should be — very casual with simple food and cheap prices. I love the club sandwich, lots of turkey and bacon on it. I’m also a fan of the Greek salad, mainly because I really like Mimi’s Greek salad dressing. My mom and dad are fans of the fish and chips — generous portions and the fish is crispy. We’re all fans of the coneys; we typically order the combo which comes with the coney, a large sized pop, and fries or a salad. The breakfast specials are great deals. The waitstaff has always been attentive.
