Pasticcio

I’m giving this place 3 stars now based only on the WHITE SPINACH PIZZA! So garlicy and yummy with big olé globs of ricotta! GET SOME!!!

My boyfriend and I have been to the Pikesville location of Pasticcio about four times. The first three times, it was okay — about three stars, with decent food very cheap. It wasn’t on my «top rated restaurants» list, but I didn’t mind going there once in a while if I wanted a massive dish of spaghetti for $ 7.00.
That all changed about two weeks ago, when my boyfriend and I brought his parents there. I should have known when first we sat down — the table was really sticky and dirty — we could tell it hadn’t been cleaned properly in a couple of weeks. Despite this, we decided to stay after asking our extremely apologetic waitress to scrub it off for us. We ordered, then got our salads: I went to pour some of the balsamic from the bottle on the table onto my salad and had a slimy substance akin to alien vomit slop out of it.
We asked the waitress to bring us new salads, and she did. After 20 minutes. During which time she assured us that she had been told our dishes would be ready and out soon.
About 20 minutes later, she came back and told us that our dishes, in fact, would not be out because they were out of the things that three of us had ordered. By this time, I had decided I had enough. We left, after paying for our wine.
Synopsis: Great service, terribly dirty (I don’t even want to imagine what the kitchen looks like), terrible communication between dining room staff and kitchen staff. We definitely won’t be going there again.
