Ahhhhh I love the smell of raw meat in the morning don’t you? Well what about in the afternoon? If you have ever been to Pico Park you would know exactly what im talking about. Pico Park is a local park I have been going to for ages. Back when i was a wee lad my aunt used to bring my sister and I here during the summer for an occasional free lunch, followed by letting us loose for some playtime in the park. Fast forward 11 years and now Pico Park is the spot for my yearly Family Reunion. Though Pico Park is not the nicest park in the area it is never really crowded and is a decent spot for our family get together. There is a playground for the kiddies and indoor/outdoor basketball courts. Although I do remember this park being a lot nicer when I was younger it still has a nice rec. center with a friendly staff. I know when I was younger they had classes you could take in the summer to make those hot summer days go by a little quicker. I have heard the courses here are still around and better then ever. There are a few things about this park that i do not like. One is, the baseball fields are way to close together! There are two diamonds(small & big) and if people are playing on both they will be crossing eachothers paths as soon as someone hits one to the outfield. Two, the smell which I said before. There is some sort of meat packing plant next door. Three, the noise from the street! This park is way too close to Beverly for my liking. These three things are pretty annoying, but id say its still not TOO bad of a park. Although it could be my inner child thinking that?
