OK, so is it a bad sign that you have been standing at the«wait to be seated» podium, long enough to discuss where else you want to eat at. We were there at a minimum of 10 minutes with people leaving and still no acknowledgement of our presence. I did see one server in the back of the house but did not feel the urge to chase them down so we could get a seat. Bad form staff! With what we saw you would thought we walked in 5 mins before closing, but wrong there was still over an hour and a half left on the proverbial clock. So to no avail we left to patron a regular hangout.

Food is great and very clean. Cool ambiance. Kids eat free on Sunday’s or if you print the coupon from the Internet. Slow service songs it a star. Fish is great here, as is the chicken. We will be back despite it being a bit pricey.

Welllll I keep trying hoping for the best but sadly the same old dry unpersonal service. Maybe they don’t like African Americans at the bar. Food consistently good but bar service SUCKS. 2016 I will not forget how bad the bar service is… smh

We went last night about an hour before closing. The service was awful and didn’t know much about the menu and beer selection. We waited a long time for the food as the waitress was sitting down with some other customers chatting. The fisherman’s platter was actually really good. Too bad my date’s had someone’s hair on one of her fries. It was really disappointing because the food was pretty tasty.

Great experience. Had the fisherman’s platter with vegetable kabobs and fried corn. The fried corn was the waitress suggestion and she did not steer me wrong. Try it!

Our food has always been great — love the fish tacos — but the service has always been not-so-great. We always end up with an inattentive server. The 1st time we were ever there, the server brought our check before she even asked my husband if he wanted more fish. I’m not quite sure why their parking lot is full every weekend other than people tolerating the bad service bc the food is good without going into the super busy parts of Hill Rd.

Oddly, there doesn’t seem to be a dedicated staff member to the bar; which might explain why no one is at the bar nor converts when waiting for a table. The manager brought came over after I began collecting dust and offered to get me a drink. The food is a great change to he local places around.

I just got kicked out of my seat at the bar by the hostess. The olé bag of nails who did it had the demeanor of a gas station attendant on the graveyard shift. I tried calling 17 times for a take out order for my father, realizing the phone is off the hook. I drove here in the rain and ordered $ 24 worth of take-out. Told it would be 45 min, I sat and ordered a glass of mediocre wine. Now standing and disgruntled from my experience with manager and hostess, I ponder how a place like this stays so busy.

Looking for somewhere a bit different in this particular neck of the woods. In other words, something not near the interstate interchange. So we ventured further into Pickerington to this place, where I know that a friend who lives here goes quite frequently. I had a «your way» burger(pepper jack cheese, bacon, jalapeños) and the fried corn. Both were really good. Washed down with a Yuengling Light. My wife had spicy chicken quesadilla — though she didn’t find it very spicy(she doesn’t like things too spicy anyway). She really liked the grilled chicken in it. Overall, a really good meal and we will return!

We a regulars here. Haven’t had a bad experience yet. Large amounts of delicious pub food. Try the Reuben.

I really really really like their fish and chips. I put up with the bad service because on that. I’ve had fish and chips at the rusty bucket and it’s nasty. Their oil isn’t hot enough so it comes out to much grease. I always get mine cooked well done.

My most recent visit to Old Bag in Pickerington was on a week night, so there was not a huge crowd to fight. In fact, as of late, there is not a huge crowd to fight at this place anymore. The greeter was friendly, we were sat right away in a huge booth, which honestly was a bit oddly shaped and little uncomfortable, but hey, we didn’t have to wait. Our waiter was attentive and nice… AND…he looked like a 70s porn star, which maybe is a bonus? We all ordered fairly easy to make items and they arrived quickly and everything was correct. The chicken strips were not dry at all, which is a plus, and the onion rings were amazing in my book! My only complaint with the service was our waiter was a little too attentive. We were sitting and talking after we had finished eating, and he just kept lingering. The prices were about average for what we ordered, and the place was clean. One small complaint, is at night, it is super dark in there. It makes it hard to stay awake while eating… or maybe I’m the only person who has such issues. Overall, it was a good experience. Combined with my one other visit to this establishment, I give it a solid three stars. It’s not bad, it’s not amazing, but it’s not a place I would avoid.

I come here for the Ruben and usual a drink or two. I love the bar layout here and the staff seems to be on top of it. During busy hours they need 2 more bartenders because it took 15 minute to put in my drink orders and then another 10 to get them. I like coming here on week days and I usually expect a tab of 30 – 50 $ for a date which is reasonable for the area. There are not a lot of entertainment options near by so this is a place to go if your meal and company is your evening. I will be eating here again.

I’m done! They have lost a weekly customer. I’ve given them a couple chances but my burger was in 3 pieces, not cooked well, with soggy bacon. My onion rings had so much batter on them that they earners soggy and not cooked all the way. They screw up simply putting the right fries with my husbands burger. Not worth the $ 30 we spend on dinner there. Don’t waste your time or money! This new chef needs to go!

This is a great casual seafood restaurant during lunch and dinner with reasonable prices for taste and portion size. You can order many beers that aren’t accessible in other restaurants including IPAs, cider beer, and more. The atmosphere is casual, and most tables have speakers you may choose to use to watch various sports. Overall I recommend this place to family and friends.

I love this place. The one in Pickerington is the best. The huge booths make your meals seem more private from the rest of the room. And the service is awesome. If you want one closer like Marysville you will sacrifice service and everyone seems to be setting on top of everyone. One thing is for sure both locations have excellent food. I recommend the mussels for an appetizer and a rare tuna steak for the entrée. Everything else I’ve tried has been delicious so far.

Great fish and lots of parking. Clean and safe area! Lots of fresh, but lots of fry foods as we’ll! Worth going, not too busy through the week. Super packed on the weekends. Great drinks, price is decent.

I had high hopes for Old Bag of Nails since I’ve always heard good things. And although it could have been an off day, I was not impressed, at all. We had to ask for extra silverware multiple times. When the appetizer plates were brought out, they were dirty. And not just kind of dirty — there was a full slice of used American cheese on the bottom of one of the plates. It was rather disgusting. The booths were pretty dirty as well with crumbs and a couple french fries on the seat. As for the food, it was alright. I got a chicken caesar wrap that was tasty and filling. The fries weren’t anything more than off brand frozen fries but with enough salt they were manageable. Overall I don’t see myself returning. I gave two stars mainly because our waitress was very nice and down to earth and for her sake the lack of cleanliness wasn’t her fault.

My husband had been before and liked it so he brought me here for lunch. I ordered off their October German menu and chose the schnitzel sandwich and had a cup of clam chowder for my side. The sandwich was a tasteless hunk of fried meat and I took 2 bites and left it on my plate. I love schnitzel and this was flavorless… all I could taste was the cooking oil. The clam chowder was a huge disappointment. It was so peppery I couldn’t taste anything except the hotness of pepper, which is not at all how New England clam chowder is meant to be. Our service was great and our server noticed I hadn’t eaten anything I had ordered and kindly took my entire order off the bill. I rarely send food back and this was honestly the worst restaurant meal I’ve had in years.
