The Salon Spot

First time here been about 2 weeks. I was in need of a quick hair color and trim. I didn’t know I was in for a drastic change. I believe my hair stylist was Blanca. I asked for a all light ashy brown hair color and ended up getting my whole hair bleached. Ended up w/​a 3 color (my ends a lighter blonde, hair part blonde and bottom of my hair brassy blonde). I was more than shock knowing I didn’t get what I asked for. I didn’t like it at all. But having thick hair I like to get a basic trim to keep it even and not wanting anything extra. She gave my hair «texture» my hair is uneven and looks uneven like a long mullet. I have coworkers asking why it’s like an orange tone and that it looks like a mistake. She knew it was a «tri» tone and told me she could fix it; I called and she was like «hi, what do you want?» Well my money for what it’s worth. I walked out with a hat on my head after that mistake. I definitely won’t be coming here. And no I will not be getting the extensions that she kept mentioning to me. Very disappointed and definitely not worth a penny I paid.

I have been going to the Salon Spot for a couple of years now and Amy does my hair. She always does a great job! She listens and helps pick out the shades of highlights I want and I am always happy with the way it turns out! I also like the amount of time she puts into the haircut to get it just right. I would definitely recommend Amy to anyone!

I moved to the area from Chicago and was really nervous finding a new hairstylist. Once I found Sarida and the Salon Spot I knew I was in good hands. She does exactly what I’m looking for and I completely trust her with my hair.

I went to the salon because I bought a Groupon. Blanca cut and colored my hair and I love the color and cut. We started talking about extensions and I said lets do it. She did a fabulous job I highly recommend her and the price was amazing.

I have been going here since I moved here 3 years ago. Serida does a fantastic job coloring my hair, which is totally gray! Plus my hair is curly and I’ve had some pretty bad hair cuts by people who do not know how to cut in layers to maximize the curls. She’s also very flexible with times and always texts me to remind me of the appointment!

I took a chance on a new salon/​stylist after 9 months of struggling with glued in extensions. I was very pleasantly surprised by my experience with Blanca. She spent time consulting with me before I even made an appointment. She listened carefully to what I wanted and took her time to make it turn out right. Her work with color and extensions is excellent. She is highly skilled and I will continue to use her services ongoing. She is also a lovely human being. :)

I’ve been going to Sarida for almost 3 years after I first moved here and used another salon, who did a horrible job covering up my grey hair. Sarida is flexible with times, texts me to remind me of my appointment, does an awesome job cutting my curly hair (not the easiest to layer correctly) and always does a fantastic dye job on my completely grey hair. I would truly recommend hitting up the Salon Spot and Sarida making you look fantastic!

The person cutting my hair took on her own style midway thru as she talked about football and how much she loved it. My hair looked pretty bad, and I had a big meeting the next day.

Not the Spot for eye brow wax… I’m very upset about the service I received. I walked in because I decided that it was time for me to try something new nearby. It was quiet and it was relatively empty so I figured it would be a good time; she wouldn’t have to rush to get to someone else. Unfortunately, when they don’t know what they are doing that doesn’t even matter. I have been growing out my eyebrows for a while because I wanted them fuller. Well that doesn’t matter any more. I asked for a clean up and slight shaping. She forced a rounded arch against my natural hairline and still left scattered hairs around. Now my eye brows are much thinner than I wished they were. Also, I had to run to cvs and buy tweezers and scissors to fix it. Don’t count on me coming back.

Found this place online & I needed a streak of Color Done Urgently. Not My usual Salon, but I had no Choice & thought I will give it a try. Lovely Clean Place with Very Friendly Staff. I have very Dark Black hair & I color my Roots from time to time as well. So to Color my hair, It is not easy I guess.
AMY did my Color & was ever so patient trying to Bleach it & Color it the Bright Red I wanted. It took Longer to bleach, But finally, it turned out fine & I was very happy with it.
Sadly after 2 washes in just 6 days the Color is gone. Not Red anymore. It’s Like a dark Brown & looks like something has gone wrong. I called to let them know about it & Was asked which shampoo I use. I do use a Color block & Color Safe Shampoo.
I have colored my hair many times before on & off. Had an all over color & streaks all over as well. Never has it faded in 6 days. It takes at least 2 – 3 months.
I was told that I will have to buy a Color from the Store & do it myself at home. I was very disappointed as I thought maybe I would at least be asked to come in & they could see if they can fix the color for me. I know I can buy a color & do it myself. But That’s not the answer I wanted in just 6 days of Service. I am so sad, as I have to go out on Sunday & I thought it will look brighter as you wash it. That’s how Color works usually. It gets Brighter with washes.

My daughter and I both saw Whitney this afternoon. She absolutely rocks! This was our first visit and won’t be our last! We are new to the area and so glad we found the deals on Groupon. She was attentive to our individual needs. Would definitely recommend this salon & Whitney.

Whitney rocks! She is a great stylist! I’m planning to make another appointment very soon.

I have Asian hair and the owner she did a wonderful job. I would highly recommend her if you have Asian hair. I had layers. Came out great!

Today, I had my roots touched up, my hair cut, a hand paraffin treatment and a FREE WEEKEND mimosa. Beat that.
Sarida is fantastic — her prices are more than reasonable, and I always love my cut and color. (I have pretty fine light colored hair, and I get blond highlights.) I recommend The Salon Spot to anyone who asks for a good local salon.

I’ve gone here for a year and had wonderful cuts by Marissa. To my horror, when I called to make an appointment this week she is gone. I agreed to have Christina cut my hair. Not only did she take a couple of calls while shampooing my hair, she went out to give some guy a key while I dripped in the chair. Then, she needed to ask the woman next to her how to cut my hairstyle. Forgot to ask what side I parted my hair on until she was almost done. Boy, was I pissed. Now I have to find a new salon. I think this one has changed ownership and I’m totally unimpressed.

I recently moved from Chicago area to Phoenix. I left behind a wonderful stylist and friend. I had no idea where to go in Phoenix. I spent quite a bit of time researching salons. I live in central Phoenix and I was having no success in finding a salon near my neighborhood that charged less than $ 45-​$ 50 for a basic haircut. Maybe I’m cheap, but I find that price point ridiculous and I refuse to pay that much money for a simple cut.
I came upon this salon here on Unilocal.I drove 25 minutes north to try it out, since the reviews were good and the price was reasonable. I called to schedule a cut and I spoke to the owner of the salon. She was extremely nice and was able to get in me in on that Sunday (I called Thursday). I was very happy about that.
I paid $ 21 for my cut (using the deal here on Unilocal), and it was great. The salon is neat, clean, and cute. It is not super swanky, so if that’s what you’re looking for, I would go elsewhere. I don’t need any of those pretentions. The owner was friendly, knew what she was doing, noticed a weird thing my hair does right away (that my Chicago stylist always had to work around), and is reasonable in her prices. I say that’s a win.
She gave me several coupons for future cuts, and I’ll be back!

My trip to Salon Spot was great! My stylist, Melissa, really did a wonderful job on my hair. She took so much care and attention to make sure I walked out with a hairstyle that I can feel confident in. I do not usually feel comfortable speaking up mid-​cut when I have a concern — but this time I felt like I could say what I wanted! I now have a great haircut and I’m excited to go back when the time coms for my next cut! Oh, also, your Unilocal coupon was awesome and their prices are MORE than reasonable — I could have paid the same amount at some terrible chain place. Thanks Salon Spot!

What a great salon! Extremely clean and is staffed with experienced and lively people, what more could you ask for? I always look forward to going in and getting my hair done at the Salon Spot!

I live in northwest Phoenix and drive 45 minutes to get my hair highlighted and cut. That says A LOT!!! And gas isn’t cheap for a full size truck either. This salon is very clean. The staff is very knowledgeable about the latest styles, maintenance, and products. I love how my hair turns out after every appointment. I definitely recommend this place. If you love your hair and want a place where people care about your hair as much as you do, go here!
