I highly recommend Marla, if you want your hair to be the best shade of blonde it’s ever been! Or any color for that matter, she’s great. My hair is beautiful, I get many compliments. Marla is DEFINITELY my go to colorist. The place is very classy, prices are very reasonable, everybody is friendly, the instructors are doing great with their students, ITSHOWS! Go see Marla! You’ll look hot after she’s done with your hair. I also see Maggie to get my hair cut. She cut my hair and it looks so healthy and much better than it has and it’s all thanks to her. Maggie is sweet and I’ll be going back to her next month for another cut. This place rocks!

SAVE your money and go somewhere else! I had a horrible experience here recently. They were having a graduation so all the focus and attention was on the graduating student so they should have scheduled me at a much later time so that the student that was doing my hair wasn’t distracted by the loud noise. The teacher on duty was named Mr Mike. As the student was foiling my hair he did not check until the last minute right before she was going to wash my hair and I had to point out to HIM that there was some missing gaps between the foil highlight and my scalp. This isn’t my first time going to this establishment I’ve been here more than 5 times. He said he wasn’t able to pull up my information from my last appointment and said I haven’t been here for a while and that’s not true because I was able to check my bank statements of the recent times I had been there and I was there 3 times prior to when he said. I understand it was a graduation going on but everybody was loud the entire time he was not even focus on checking the students work until the very end and that is NOT acceptable. While the student was finishing blow drying my hair he kept staring the entire time which made me UNCOMFORTABLE and makes no sense because he couldn’t focus his attention from the beginning not the end. Then she was done drying my hair he did a brief look from one side of my hair and said«how will you pay cash or credit?» I was speechless. Then he said«I’ll go get the manager» and NOT even taking responsibility of what HE had done. It’s not the student’s fault I understand he was supposed to supervise her. I’ve been here many times before and haven’t had this occur. After speaking with the manager SHEENA to get the corporate number which by the way wasn’t even the correct number so I had to look up the number online which is 763−533−3179. Then she said how will you be paying? Not even offering me a discount on this horrible service. I said«half cash half credit» she seemed OK by that then a second later she says«oh we don’t accept that sorry» yet I called the Regency at Metro Center and spoke to someone there and they said they DO accept half cash half credit. I told her I will NOT be returning to this Regency again! Everyone there was UNPROFESSIONAL, LOUD and GOSSIPING going on it’s ridiculous!

I had a not-so-good experience at another beauty school and decided to try here. From scheduling the appointment to getting EXACTLY what I wanted done was completely great. I did not have to wait long to be seen by my student, which was great. The down side was that it took 6 hours for a spiral perm. I blame that mostly for my long hair though, not the student. I was hoping to be out of there a bit sooner, but I will still go back. I love that the instructors are there, walking through the rows of chairs and offering help and guidance when there is a question and affirming the student’s assessment of what to do next. I see a recipe for success in each student because of the leadership of the teaching staff. This school is maintained well and very pleasant to spend half a day in. Even the students seemed happy to be there, learning and doing. I will go back, and I will bring my children here to allow these students to practice!

I’ve never utilized beauty schools for their discounted service, but I will definitely consider it moving forward! Appointment Type: facial Cost: $ 20 plus tip Wait Time: almost 1 hour(!!!) Length of Appointment: 30 – 40 minutes Pros: –affordable –high quality services: my skin looked and felt amazing(it still does almost 2 weeks later!) and everyone commented how my skin just«glowed.» –good length of time for a facial, not rushed at all –salon quality facility, décor, and technicians –got a free gift(skin care products) for being one of the first 10 booked. Cons: –wait time for the appointment. An hour was WAY too long. –surrounding neighborhoods are pretty ghetto. They have tons of different services offered from hair care(cut, color, updos, perm/straighten, braids, weaves, dreadlocks), to skin care(waxing, facials). I would definitely consider using them again or recommending them for special occasions(prom, weddings, etc). Definitely make an appointment. And if you’re strained for time or on a tight schedule, I would let them know in advance so you don’t end up in the waiting room for an hour like me.
