Ordered the cheese omelette and added bacon and onions. It came with potatoes and toast. Maybe just my taste buds but despite the reviews I read, the rosemary seasoning is overwhelming and the potatoes seem undercooked. Looking at empty plates as I left, I see lots of uneaten potatoes so I suggest the chef rethink their recipe. Valentin was my server and he was good and the speed of service was good. The toast is about ½ inch thick and more like a dessert; again not my cup of tea but whatever. Crossing this place off my airport stops; will stand in line at Wendy’s next time. Sorry!

Really good airport food. I’ve eaten here a few times since it has a great location amongst the American Airlines gates. They have pretty great food and the only comment I have is that the service is spotty. Overall I’ve had good service but the last few visits the tables around me have gotten their food first, even if it was the same as my order. All in all I will definitely go back, but don’t stop to eat in if you have less than an hour to spend.

Matthew was my server and he was fantastic! He was prompt, efficient, friendly, and got my order right! He was working a number of tables and I was quite impressed watching him maneuver and ensure everyone was cared for. The restaurant is in Terminal 4 so quite busy but they seemed to be turning the tables well. I had just a couple minute wait but they also have an express option — takeout area — for those that don’t have time. I had an omelet that was very good. The restaurant itself is clean and comfortable. The hostess was friendly as was the person that delivered my food. Good experience all around — which I certainly appreciate when in the midst of airport hustle/bustle.

we sat at the bar this morning while waiting for a flight and the bartender was phenomenal. The food was okay. But as a frequent guest at the other Matt’s locations I was disappointed with the quality of the food. It just really isn’t the same. But better than eating at McDonald’s so there’s that.

Good service. Good pancakes and the home fries /rosemary potatoes are great. Got us seated and food came out fast. One warning: the children’s options are HUGE. Share with kids and save the waste.

Had the Rueben w steak fries. Great corned beef. Paul the bartender has a great personality and seems to like his job. Hard to find good peeps behind the bar anymore. Especially in an airport.

My server(Miguel) was super awesome, right on point with everything, quick, friendly, and attentive. I ordered a Fancy Salad. The plate arrived greasy which was weird because a salad with chicken shouldn’t be greasy. The manager came out and apologized immediately. They built another fresh salad. While it wasn’t a perfect experience, the staff made up for it in friendliness and caring.

This was a great discovery. Breakfast anytime. The 5 step breakfast sandwich was awesome and the happily kept the request for no onions off with a smile. The chili burger was a real life medium like I ordered. I am impressed with any plane that does this let alone a place in the airport.

Two visits a row = very disappointing Twice now the eggs over medium are runny — I guess when you ask for the whites to be cooked through it doesn’t matter; toast not toasted? What’s up Matt? I don’t want you to «take care of my breakfast» I simply want to enjoy a good breakfast before my flight, and I’m happy to take care of the bill.

Horrendously slow! It’s an airport, if you’re this slow, you’re no good. Worse yet, I’m just talking about the to go line! To go, to them, gets no preference. On top of that, they give the wrong food. Given their before mentioned slowness, after receiving my food, I had to get on the plane, only to then discover, instead of oatmeal, they gave me an egg, bacon and cheese sandwich with potatoes. While I’m sure it was tasty(maybe), it most certainly is not in my eating habit. So, there I am on a 3 hour morning flight with the choice of either going hungry or eating some crap that’s going to make me feel sluggish and bad all day. I chose hunger.

If I’m flying out of terminal 4 then I’m eating at Matt’s Big Breakfast. Even if my flight is at 10:00 or noon or 2:00. Even if I have to traipse the rest of the way around the terminal to my Southwest gate, it’s worth it to me to get here early and have a delicious breakfast. They have the best bacon for sure, and the staff has always been fast and friendly. Maybe someday I’ll try something else, but for me the hog and chick is the way to go. Love everything about this breakfast from the bacon to the roasted potatoes to the homemade raspberry preserves on the fresh baked marble rye toast. Delicious!

Passed through here with enough time for a sit down lunch… had the Hog and Chick with ham steak(plus an extra ham steak because it is just that good) It is honestly almost coming to the Phoenix airport just to hit Matts. I don’t like potatoes usually but I will clean the plate with Matts potatoes, just the right amount of fresh rosemary and onion. Great sourdough toast, delicious raspberry jam. And the ham! Just please do yourself a favor and get the ham. This is what you think about when you think ham, salty, smoky, crisp and soft all at the same time. Can’t wait to fly through terminal four again.

Solid breakfast! I’ve been here four times while waiting for my connecting flights and have always ordered the Matt’s Biggest Breakfast — 2 sausage patties, 2 strips of thick-cut bacon, eggs, potatoes and a pancake. Wow, this meal is solid! Everything is flavorful and fresh! They have real maple syrup and ketchup without high fructose corn syrup — another plus! My husband has ventured to try other menu items and they never disappoint. The service has always been great and fast, which is needed, especially in an airport. I highly recommend a stop here if you happen to find yourself at the Phoenix airport — Gate B!

Again guys I dodge a line here! So be prepared to wait if you go after 8. Anyways it was 7am and there I was drinking a mimosa, the airport has weird rules and no judge zone am I right? Their mimosa was pretty standard but it was actually fresh squeezed oranges which is a plus. But you know it’s a mimosa so eh. I had French toast and smoke sausage which the toast was amazing. The sausage however was so salty it wasn’t even edible. So I left it. The biggest flaw was that buzz me if you need a waitress button. It made the whole thing uncomfortable. At one point I wanted another mimosa but it didn’t feel right to hit the button to buzz her over. That’s just weird. I get their trying to under staff and save on waitresses but it’s a weird encounter. The waitress was nice though with good recommendations but still. If their is no line go if there is an obnoxious line skip it.

Airport food. Let’s keep it simple. The greeter was super nice. The server was super nice. The bartender was super nice. The food came out fast hot. The drinks came out quick and were delicious. And the food… probably some of the best airport food I have ever had. Better than some regular restaurants. And I always expect less of airport food. I was pleasantly surprised. I travel through Phoenix often… will definitely stop by here if I have time. And so should you. ;)

My fiancé and I stopped into here because there wasn’t much to choose from at the Phoenix airport. We arrived around 7:30−8am and it was packed. We were seated fairly quickly though. We were originally seated at the one of the tall tables and after sitting on a plane for over 5 hours, those chairs are so uncomfortable. A booth became available and we asked to be seated there and they let us. So I was thankful for that. The food was pretty good. Just your regular breakfast options. We ordered Matt’s big breakfast with an extra egg and toast to split. It comes with sausage, bacon, two eggs, home fries and a pancake. I enjoyed everything except the sausage, but my fiancé liked it all. Home fries were flavored very well. Eggs were cooked perfectly. I also ordered a side of Mac Salad, which isn’t normally available until 11:30, but they had it ready so they let me. For the amount of people that were there and only 3 guys cooking, the food and time that it came out in was impressive. Our server was very friendly and she was very accommodating. We had a good experience here.

So I had been wanting to try this place. But, I have always been in such a hurry when I am at the airport I had not had time. The plus side is, it is inside security so you don’t have to worry about getting through Security. Which can always be stressful. It is a very popular place as it is on the low B gates and there is a lot of flights out of that side in the morning. I came here with a friend from Denver after coming in from a flight. So we were not rushed. It is a very clean looking place. A great menu to choose from as well. I ordered the Steak and Eggs, just a note, they do not do poached. So I got scrambled. It was very good and the steak was cooked just the way I like it. My friend got potatoes, eggs, and bacon. The food was delicious and cooked just right. It was hot when it came out and it came out fast. The only thing that makes me give it 4 stars instead of 5. Was our server. She never brought us more coffee. Seriously we had to ask 2 other servers for more coffee. Which they brought us and with a smile. Our server Alexa(I think that was her name). Did not seem too happy to be there and did not want us to have more than one cup of coffee. The bright side is, Food is great, place is clean, and most all the other servers are awesome.

As a Matt, and as a breakfast lover this was a slam dunk. As far as airport food goes, this is one of the better places I’ve had and with reasonable prices. I think it was around $ 9 for the Five Spot Platter and around $ 8 for the egg salad sandwich. Both were big portions and I distinctly remember the bacon in the Five Spot Platter being extra-large, juicy, and thick. Sometimes, after a long flight you want to get fed and filled up like a dump truck. Matt’s will take care of that for you. It was also close to our American Airlines terminal. Also, it was open late which is a relief because as it turns out there are a ton of options to eat in this airport but a lot of them aren’t open late(11pm or later). I should also shout-out our waitress. She was an absolute hoot. Being from drought-stricken California, I asked for water tentatively. She responded by ribbing me and saying she would have to check if «water» was on the menu. All in good fun and she was super attentive even though Matt’s was packed. Must be the whole open-late thing. Very hefty, very filling, and because everyone says breakfast is the most important meal of the day, I would recommend putting Matt at the top of your list of places to eat in Phoenix’s airport.
