Mike provides great customer service and Johnston’s is so trust worthy. I never second guess their opinions and they have gained a super fan! Thanks again for taking great care of me today.

After springing an oil leak from an unknown source I was referred to Johnston’s Automotive, the claim being they were fairly priced and honest.
They took my vehicle in, knowing I had no clue what the source of the leak was and that I had been told by the car wash/​oil change joint that a «gasket» had gone out.
A few minutes after handing my keys over the technician returned saying there was no leak, and the only issue was the previous location had made a mess when changing my oil and didn’t clean it up. Mike then kindly informed me there was no fee for the inspection and sent me on my way.
They could have easily scammed me, or even charged me for the «inspection,» but true to the referral, they were fair and honest! They will be my new car care center!

I take my daughters cars in I take my company trucks in and I also take my personal truck in to get fixed and every time never a problem. It’s always fixed right the first time and when he says it is going to be done it’s done. thanks

Johnston’s was recommended to us by our trusted mechanics over at 25^th St. Automotive when they were too busy to take us. We were told they were a good, honest business so we went to them and found them to be just that.
They took care of our problem quickly and with expertise and we were very impressed with their service and work ethic. It just so happened that our car experienced a problem the following day unrelated to our original problem. They had our car towed at their expense and didn’t charge us for the repair. That’s real customer service!
We highly recommend Johnston’s Automotive for their skill, their honesty, their commitment to customer satisfaction and for just being a group of friendly, knowledgeable people who care about their customers!

I’ve been going to this shop ever since I had a strange knocking or pinging noise coming from my engine. One shop told me I needed a new engine and on a whim I stopped at Johnston’s for a second opinion. They found a cracked lower fan belt pulled that was making a noise when it flexed at higher RPMs. The repair bill was around $ 80, helluva sight less than a new engine.

I do my own mechanic work for over 25 yrs, and it’s difficult finding a shop on the rare occasion I have some repairs, that can’t be done myself.
After one shop tried pulling a fast-​one on me, by telling me they couldn’t do an alignment, because my car needed a full front end rebuild, with new ball joints, and tie-​rod ends (which was a total lie), I kept looking and found Johnston’s.
All my 1984 Subaru needed was a simple front end alignment, and that’s all it got. Pretty simple, no BS. What more can you ask for?
Will recommend them for sure.

I tend to keep my cars a long time, well past the 100,000 mile mark. Usually car repair facilities hand me page upon pages of «essential repairs and maintenance repairs.» I was pleasantly shocked when I was told not once but several times, «No, you don’t need that. No, that’s fine too.» I have found a new friend in the car repair business!

My brother referred by to Johnston’s Automotive, saying he finally found a mechanic who’s HONEST. It’s nice to be able to drop off a vehicle with confidence that you’ll get great service at a fair price. Most recently they were instrumental in getting all my shocks replaced under warranty. I“ve had them work on my diesel truck as well as my BMW sportscar and would recommend them without reservation.

I’ve been coming to JOHNSTONS for over 10 years now. I will never go to another shop. They are very honest and dependable people. Like the other review said, I have also been here and they have told me I did not need something to be fixed when I thought I did. The level of integrity here is mind blowing. Thank you JOHNSTONS!

I’ve been bringing my vehicles to Johnston’s for a good 17 – 18 years. This is my third vehicle in that time period and I don’t trust anyone to work on it but them. Locally owned and operated, Dwight, Rod and now Mike are good honest guys who will not charge you for nor suggest any unnecessary repairs. The shop is at 24^th St. and Osborn and I live in Chandler but I make the trek because I trust them. They will even provide me a one way ride to my office in Scottsdale if need be. I highly recommend these guys.

On the short: I’ve been coming here over 10 years. Honest! Best service & prices around. Period!!! Car troubles are never fun but when it happens… at least I know Im not getting scr**wd!
