I had a lot of high hopes for the Integrative Medical Center, but overall, I was let down. To be sure, there are some positives: –Scott the acupuncturist was great! Definitely recommend. –The nurses were generally friendly and warm, especially when I had bloodwork done. –After my initial appointments, it seems that it was pretty easy to make appointments at times I wanted. –Virtually no wait times! Yes, it comes at the premium of a few hundred dollars a year, but that also includes a handful of visits with the nutritionist and acupuncturist, as well as the classes they offer. Cons: I don’t feel the value was great. It was nice having no wait times, but for $ 600/year, I thought the doctor would be better. The doctor I saw was just okay. I was really excited about the integrative medicine concept, as I’ve had an on-going medical issue and was hoping this approach would help. Unfortunately, the doctor didn’t seems like she listened to my complaints that well, and I feel like she gave me generic advice. I should note this doctor no longer works at the practice. By far the biggest con(and I mean that in more ways than one) is their billing. My first«establish care» visit was billed as a «family planning.» The extent of our family planning talk was«do you take birth control?» However, they billed my insurance for family planning, and since they wouldn’t cover it, I got stuck with the bill. I was told that it was up to me to contact the doctor(who is no longer employed there) and get it straightened out. Admittedly, I put it off for two months, and when I called again to ask if they could take care of it since it was their mistake, I was told my account had been turned over to collections. I asked to speak to a manager and was transferred to someone’s voicemail that promised to return my call within 24 hours. That was almost 4 weeks ago. In that time, I’ve left messages and have sat on hold and cannot get through to anyone.
