Glenridge Apartments

Lived at these apartments about a year and a half ago and had the worst experience. At first, I was convinced to rent there by the nice pictures and «wood flooring». I even referred family to stay at this complex and even they had the same issues. For example, this place was infested with cockroaches! There were every different kind of roaches, big ones to small ones, and when we called to get the roach problem fixed, they always said, «we’ll send someone on Monday» and never did. Be careful when signing the contract and make sure you read EVERYTHING. They try everything to screw you over, SERIOUSLY. When I moved in, they had said at first that the appliances would be new and on my first day of moving in the fridge and the stove were old and filthy! Anyways, besides all of that, the two ladies that worked in the front, the older one and the younger one were extremely rude! The only time I remember them being nice was when they were trying to get us to rent there

There were some issues with management in the beginning; often being told one thing then getting another. We had a surprise bill a month after move-​in due to a processing error on their end. We were promised wood flooring in our unit and didn’t get it upon move-​in. An employee initially told us it would be $ 75 to switch units, then later we were told it would be $ 300, even though we wanted to switch only a week after moving in (due to there not being wood flooring, and we weren’t all that happy about the location of the unit in the complex).
The good news is, after publishing a negative review on these matters — the manager read it, expressed her concern, and allowed us to switch units (with wood flooring) free of charge. So despite the initial trouble, I am quite impressed with their effort to make things right.
Overall a decent complex. Grounds well manicured (though there seems to be an abundance of dog droppings around), and requests for maintenance were attended to in a timely manner.
Lots of roaches around… but bug traps and keeping a clean home keeps them at a minimum.
Not the safest area; our neighbors car was stolen right outside our door a few weeks after moving in. But not the worst of Glendale. Close to everything and for the right price.

Super cute apartments nice and quite community and the location is great! Close to ASU west and the 101… lots of shopping and tons to do…
