A local favorite; not easy to get a table, cuz its small! Love the NM cuisine; spicy — absolutely, that is the point. Just a local’s hangout; nothing fancy, but a cool feel. Don’t spoil it, we want to keep going here. Been so many times and had just about everything on the menu. I’m not a big meat eater, but we do just fine with the rellenos, enchiladas; and the guac starter!

My son and I went to Dick’s Hideaway for breakfast last Sunday and it was marvelous! We started out with wonderful Bloody Mary which had an asparagus stick rather than a celery stick. Very cool! My meal was the Tomatillo Toast — yum! Had a great kick to it! There were quite a few patrons, but the staff was great, attentive at the right time. If I lived in Phoenix, it would be my «go to» place.

Mixed feelings here. I like the outside looking in blackout, but it is super dark inside. The food was bland. I got the Santa Fe chicken, and was thinking of horseradish sauce instead of hollandaise sauce, but the bar tender’s excuse for not having a kick to the sauce was the jalapeños are not as hot in the summer. WRONG! The hotter and dryer the hotter the pepper. No big deal right? Well the bar tender became a d. bag after I asked for more sauce, more than he already was for having a man-bun. I believe his name was Tag, but just asking for more sauce is no reason to act like that. He also said cheers; come-on bro, you’re not British. He also gossiped with a female employee for over 5 min, when I waiting to cash out. In many ways the Service was slightly above average as a whole. I was going to give an extra star for seeing them clean a vent hood, till I saw someone’s food on the grill right below it. The place did not have a Mexican taste at all.

Despite the fact was with a large group that they were not prepared for the food was great, presentation excellent. The only negative was the very poor service, I give them a partial pass due to the large group(over 35 people). They had 2 – 3 people allotted for the group. Very poor planning/staffing, but luckily the food made up for it.

This place is so small and cute… consists of a bar and 3 tables!!! My husband and I started with the Mexican questi dip. This was very tasty! It’s a cheese and spinach dip topped with chorizo… added a nice kick! My husband got the enchiladas and LOVED them. I had some specialty dish(forgot name) and it was amazing as well. The food is authentic and delicious! The servers were so nice and explained the menu as it is our first time. I would come back for sure, just be careful or you may miss the place all together! My only complaint was that one customer at the bar was watching porn which was unusual and hilarious to my husband and I. We will come back for sure, food was delicious!

My pretty wife and I came here for a rep dinner. We were severed a sampling of their dishes so it might not be completely representative of the the restaurant as a whole. Over all the food was just average. I had garlic shrimp and pasta which had way over cooked shrimp and my wife had the same. Others had the smoke pork chop which looked good but I heard them complain it was tough. The service was great for the large crowd. The private room wee were in was a let down. It was cramped and the place was musty and seemed like a old cellar with wine bottles on the walls with a thick layer or dust everywhere. We won’t return.

Heck of a time finding this place but worth the confusion. I got two small plates and a house margarita during happy hour. The blue crab empanadas and the queso dip + chips were truly filling and delicious. I will be back during my next visit in Phoenix. The lighting is dim, so if you struggle to see in dimmed lighting, use your phone to help read the menu. I saw another couple do that but I felt the lighting was just enough. Also don’t expect overly friendly staff; not a knock or suggesting anyone was rude. My fiancé and I both felt our server was just about doing the job sans any effort on rapport or charisma. Better than lousy service or slow service granted, but it’d be nice to feel like he was into having us as guests.

Probably our favorite place in Phoenix to eat and drink. Food is spicy so beware. But it is fresh, delicious and different. Not much room with a casual neighborhood feel. Love it.

A whole in the wall little gem. Drinks were great, house margarita was nice and I ordered beer because… beer. At this point I was filled with beer and Mexican queso so I wasn’t able to eat my Mexican platter, because… beer. Anyway the service was very nice. Man bun was a sweet thing with a fine behind. He even Drew a little smile on my take home Container. So potential baby daddy. I highly recommend this, so give it a go. And beer !

THEBOMB! Food and service was awesome. It is a small place and they have shared tables but def worth it if you don’t mind sharing a table. I had the carne Benedict. Only thing i would change is getting the english muffin on the side because the sauce made them so soggy.

It is what it is Dark, cramped, has that old speakeasy feel No signage on the front Little lost on how to get a seat when we came in but we got help after a few minutes Mimosas made with fresh squeezed orange juice Menu very tasty and very different Jalapeño Hollandaise sauce. yum I had the enchiladas and eggs and they were very good GF had the Adovada Eggs Benedict… Kinda wanted to steal her plate They were both good Place is a little pricey but Good portions, good service and good food made it worth it.

Been here about three times in the last week with my boyfriend. Each time is great. Good atmosphere. Small chill spot for no drama drinks and beers. We come here all the time to the point where the bartenders remember we look even bloody Mary’s. It’s a place I always take friends who are visiting me.

This place… I mean wow! Adam is on point and the cooks Manny and Philly know what they’re doing! They have a system down to a tee. The service and food is excellent. This is my second visit here. The first time was for a hardy dinner. The second time, an epic mound of breakfast deliciousness. This spot has a low lite feel with people flocking everywhere. Don’t come, I don’t want to have to wait too long for a table. P. S. Watch out for the piping hot plates!

I really enjoyed my experience here. It’s tucked away and I actually walked past it several times before it dawned on me which door to use. The inside is dark and has a dive bar feel, though it’s no dive bar. I came here for lunch so there weren’t many other customers, which definitely helped with the dive bar feel. The food was really good! Everything had great flavor and I really enjoyed the beans. There was plenty of food and I found the price point to be good. The service was good, I didn’t want for anything. I’m really glad I tried this place.

Go. But also don’t go because I want to keep this place as much a secret as possible! ;-) Ok, where to start… atmosphere is killer. Think the coolest dive bar mixed with a diner/hipster restaurant. Service is consistently amazing. Drinks are generous, delicious and awesome variety. And the food… good lord. It’s incredible. You can see the chefs behind the bar cooking everything fresh. Everything comes out hot and flavored are astonishing. It’s absolutely the best food I’ve had out in years. We’ve been for brunch a couple times and dinner too. I can say confidently order anything, it’ll knock your socks off. Reasonably priced bc honestly I’d pay double for food this good. Only con is the wait. Place is small, so go on off hours if you wanna get in right away. But really, even the con is a good sign since it means people keep coming back.

Service was 7⁄10 hence the 4 of 5 stars. We walked in for dinner and no one greeted us or to seat us and there was only two other small groups in the main bar area. Besides that, food was great. I got the fish trio and it was perfectly cooked. All 3 fish. It was a special and not in the main menu. this place had great reviews so that’s why I wanted to try it but there weren’t many pescatarian or veg options. So the fish trio was a nice surprise! Will come back for the food eventually!

Dick’s Hideaway… it was an adventure here! So technically we made two stops in here on Friday night. When we first walked in, it was crowded! So we made our way across the street for a drink before popping back in because after having a great Bloody Mary with dinner and seeing how this place boasts about having a «top rated Bloody Mary in the valley,» I couldn’t stop thinking about Dick’s! Plus the Persian with us wanted a crème brûlée so we came back. The bartender even recognized us! While we awkwardly stood around waiting for some chairs or a table to free up, the bartender came by and asked us what we wanted. A Bloody Mary and a crème brûlée was ordered and I was soon handed my lovely drink along with a small glass of Hair of the Dog beer on the house. Sweet! After being bullied into chugging this tasty and smooth brew, I was buzzed. Even though I might have been a little intoxicated, I still found myself underwhelmed by this«top rated» Bloody Mary. Whaaat?! I had a much better Bloody Mary like one review ago. Get on their level! Kazi H. and I were soon to be escorted to two stools at the bar while the gentlemen we were with still stood awkwardly by the door. What were they talking about? My love and I cracked into a nicely caramelized shell and dug into a creamy custard. While not the best crème brûlée ever, I still found myself stealing more and more bites of her abandoned brûlée. More for me, yay! And then some more stools freed up and our crew came to sit with us. So the adventure? Kazi and I stumbled into the private, dark, adjoining dining room to use the restroom. Let’s just say that two girls entered a bathroom with a shower included. Much shenanigans. As we made our way back to the bar with her iPhone lighting thew way, we were told that there was another bathroom. Oops. Thinking about Dick’s makes me smile. :)
