HOLY YES!!! This HUGE store really WOWED us!!! We have been searching through every furniture store throughout the entire Valley, and it seems that we keep seeing the SAME stuff in different stores to the point of giving up finding what we are looking to find. THIS place has some UNIQUE and AWESOME GOOD QUALITY STUFF!!!
We found TWO different amazing dining table and chair options that we had not seen anywhere else! We haven’t decided which one to buy, but we will for sure buy one of them! They are both so awesome, it is such a hard decision! No where else did we find ANYTHING that fit our criteria as far as a dining room set goes!
Their prices are on target, and in some cases quite cheap! We saw a fridge (yes, they even offer appliances) that was SO AMAZING yet priced RIGHT! We don’t need a fridge, but it was hard for us to walk away from the deal!!! But, we did because we have other priorities… BUT we’ll be back when we decide to upgrade!!!
We LOVE this store and will stop every time when looking for any household item!!! We SCORED!!!
Customer service was a SCORE too! Darren was very helpful and is not at all high pressure!!! Ignore the bashers!!! GO CHECK THIS PLACE OUT!!!

This company is dishonest ! Stay away from Conn’s Home Plus. They have very anti-​consumer practices. They almost screwed me big time.
I only planned to buy something if it was interest free. Because I know their credit carries a high interest rate. They offered me 12 months 0% APR with no down payment on any purchase of at least $ 1,000. I knew if I missed just one payment, all of the interest would be due retroactively. So I planned to buy only what I could afford to pay off in a year. I must have said this to the salesman a half dozen times.
I spent an hour looking at things. They use high pressure sales tactics. They kept quoting minimum payments. I said my payment would be more than the minimum, because I’m paying this off in 12 months so as not to incur interest. I finally decided on a mattress and bed. The total invoice with delivery and tax was a bit over $ 1900. Supposedly interest free. First payment due in November.
They printed up a long multi-​page contract, full of boilerplate language, tucked underneath the top sheet for me to sign. When they gave me a pen, I didn’t immediately sign. I started looking over the contract. I noticed they tacked on property and credit insurance fees. I told the salesman to get the manager because this was a used car lot tactic, I didn’t agree to pay for insurance.
The manager walked over and tried to flim-​flam me. I told her I would need to get my lawyer to read this contract because I don’t want to get screwed. She said, we’re not trying to screw you sir. Let me explain, blah blah, more nonsense. She tried to say the insurance is only if you don’t pay it off in time. But i showed her they had already added the insurance to the amount I am financing, listed on the «Retail Installment Contract». That number was a higher amount than the total listed on the «Invoice» or «General Information Summary Page». All of this is contained within the same general contract. It appeared to all be designed/​written to purposefully confuse the consumer.
Then I asked them to show me where in the contract it says I have 12 months interest free financing. When I read the «CASH OPTION ADDENDUM PAGE» (This tricky crap is not even in the main contract, it was an addendum) It says :
«You must pay the cash option price of $ 1,9xxx by the expiration date of 9÷26÷2016. For example, you could pay 12 equal installments of $ 165.xx to satisfy the cash option requirements.»
«You will not accrue any finance charges if you pay all scheduled monthly payments within 10 days of their due date and the unpaid cash option price within 10 days of the Expiration Date shown above».
When I saw that, an alarm bell went off in my head. Because my first payment wasn’t due until November 10^th.
I ‘d make the payments on Nov 10^th, Dec 10^th, etc. on time for 12 months, except my last payment due on October 10^th 2016, would still be considered more than 10 days overdue, because the 12 month window for interest free financing begins the day you sign the contract, not 12 months from the day the first payment is due. Of course they never told me that before I read it myself, buried inside this huge stack of papers.
IN OTHER WORDS, THE WAY THE CONTRACT WAS WRITTEN, IF I MADE ALL 12 PAYMENTS ON TIME, AND WAS NEVER EVEN A SINGLE DAY LATE WITH MY PAYMENTS, I WOULD STILL BE HIT WITH THE RETROACTIVELY APPLIED INTEREST !
When I pointed that out to the manager, and said the expiration date should be 12 months from the date my first payment is due, she could only smile and say the 12 month interest free window starts today, and can’t get changed. I said that’s not right. You are trying to screw me. She began arguing. She knew I caught them in deception. So the manager screamed leave the store or I will call the police !
I took the contract with me and started walking out of the store and she began shrieking at me to give the contract back, that it was private property. But they gave me the contract to sign. I already told her I wanted my lawyer to read it, so I kept it. That’s why I can quote verbatim from the contract in this review.
They are crooks. If I had signed that contract without carefully reading it, even after making all 12 payments exactly on time per the due dates printed in the contract, my last payment would be late beyond the 10 day grace period of the cash option addendum page expiration date. I’d get hit with the exorbitant interest fees applied retroactively. That would have been a nasty surprise.
I’m so glad this place didn’t rip me off. They tried hard. But I read all the fine print.
I will show this contract to my personal attorney, the AZ Attorney General’s Office and Channel 5 consumer watch. I want to know if they are breaking any laws, or merely acting dishonestly. Either way, Conn’s is a con job.

Excellent customer service! We came in over the holiday weekend and got a great deal on a washer and dryer. They do their own financing and have zero percent interest for up to 30 months! (OAC) Happy customer, definitely will be coming back.

First I thought it was cool but the guy fucked up everything 3 times I mean the 1 time was whatever but he put the wrong TV that I wanted I had to sign so much things 3 time’s in a row BS they don’t know how to do there job at all

I will not shop at this establishment. It may sound petty, but their mailing advertising offends me. The outside envelope looks like official mail and states «Please Verify Receipt». It is my belief that if a company uses this type of trickery and manipulation to get you to open their mailer, goodness knows what will happen when you walk into the store. Honesty needs to be carried throughout a business to earn mine.

Conns lies about everything sales and corporate and managers they don’t follow contract rules corporate will wait till 30 days r up before calling you back then when do they cant do anything now it’s been 30 days use got screwed on couches they told me it’s leather it’s wasn’t it changed colors in two months and the conns on Dunlop watch out for the sales person Eric there he will lie to you and screw you like a pig he did that to me Conn is the worst I hope they shut down Aarons and rent a center is better than them beware beware beware

So, I was in need of a couch. Conn’s supplied. Salesman was great! So far the experience was exactly what I was looking for. I up sold myself and now I have some cool furniture that will last me for years to come. Don’t be shy. Just know your limit and know what you’re trying to do. Have a plan, Conn’s will take care of the rest!

I would not give this location a star at all for a rating but to post it seems you have to. So to begin I purchased a sectional end of Jan didn’t get it til weeks later then it was broken once they decided to replace the damaged one months later I finally have one. The next and main issue is I have a contract from Conns stating one due date and one amount they seem to have a different one with a different due date and a different amount I have contacted the store to speak to the manager who has not returned my calls or resolved the issue I have sent copies of this contract and still nothing I have shopped at Conns prior to this the location on 75^th they are wonderful if you need to go Conns I would not go to the Dunlap location the majority empty parking lot should have been a thought of why customer service is horrible shopping there has been a nightmare

So, Conn’s makes a lot of promises to help people start over and get credit. Yes. I got credit. I just came out of a bad divorce situation and wanted to rebuild. I bought a computer. That’s the end of what was promised as being accurate. I was promised that if I paid the amount of my contract off within a year with a minimum monthly payment that I would owe nothing else. I wasn’t told about the monthly payment fees, eating up some of what I paid each month. Then, I was told that when I was ready to pay off the account, I could come into the store and get a paid in full statement — that is not true. You can pay it off in the store, but they give you rinky-​dinky credit card statement that doesn’t even show your balance. You have to take the clerk’s word that it was for the correct amount. They will mail you a statement showing paid in full in 30 — 60 days. Then, they report the closed account, but not the zero balance. This makes your credit score go down, not up. Mine went down 15 points! It makes it look like they closed the account and are about to go into collections. Even though my payoff was about $ 800, the credit is reporting a balance of more than twice that! They need another 60 days to correct. When I asked for help correcting this from customer service, there was no help. When I then asked to talk to a Supervisor, they hung up on me!
Buyer beware. There are better and more accurate ways of rebuilding your credit.

Lewis and Vickie went above and beyond to help us it what we wanted. Our credit limit was not all that great, but they helped us until it was closing time to get us a great deal. They truly put sweat and tears out. They were awesome!

I won’t bore you with a lengthy review. If you buy electronics and have issues with it just be warned Conn’s service center is flat out horrible to deal with and this stores manger is absolutely no help in getting my issue resolved.
Beauty is only skin deep. Conn’s service/​repair facility is horrible to deal with and the salesman that sold us an extended warranty for a laptop lied about having to send a defective item in for service. We were told we could exchange the laptop for a new one if it failed and that’s isn’t what happened. They have had the laptop for 9 days and counting and haven’t even looked at it yet.

While the credit application process is very easy to complete on line, that was where the good part of my experience ended.
I found a reasonably priced leather love seat on line, for a little over $ 700.00. It said the center console was sold separately for an additional $ 100. When I get to the store to look at it. This love seat is actually closer to $ 1600.00. Come to find out the love seat comes in 3 pieces, each sold separately. The matching sofa was only $ 1300.00. I do not think I will be back. I found them grossly overpriced.

We spent $ 5000 on a TV, surround sound, blue ray, and wall mount. The sales person told us the old wall mount would not work. It actually did. We came back to return wall mount and buy a new kitchen table only to find out there was a restocking fee of 15% for the wall mount. Needless to say they would not accommodate us. Taking our business elsewhere.

The only thing I don’t like, is when you apply online for credit. The sales guys calls you up, like really?!? I went down and talked to them already and I just wanted to see if I could apply online without them talking to me, because I already talked to them at the store, but at that time I didn’t want to feel like I was pressured into buying something right there and now. So I figured applying online and see what kind of credit I can get. so that way I feel like I can take my time on choosing the product I like within my range of credit. If I knew applying online would have them call me then I would not even try to apply online, defeats the purpose on telling everyone apply online, but will call you anyways. :/

I purchased a fridge on a Monday that I was told was available for next day delivery. I scheduled the delivery for Sunday and was called the day before and told that the fridge was not in stock, but they would have it on Wednesday and they scheduled a Thursday delivery with me. I schedule the day off and receive no call with an estimated time of delivery. I wait until 10am (when they open) and call my salesperson… «funny I was JUST about to call you… the fridge isn’t here». This was a complete waste of PTO, and with no answers from the salesperson, I chose to contact the manager directly. He admitted to me on the phone that even though I came in and paid for a fridge they said was «in stock, available for next day delivery»… they shipped it to a customer who had come in and bought the fridge AFTER me because they were able to set up an earlier delivery date. This business practice was unbeknownst to me… and the manager just said that the salesperson «should have» let me know. Apparently the salesperson «should be» calling me every day with an update as well. Best part is, the manager has no idea when the next fridge will come in. I find it very odd for a company to have no estimate at all when a product is coming in from their vendor, and to be giving out product that they obviously don’t have in stock for the customers who have already purchased it. I am now 2.5 weeks without delivery of a product that I was told was available for next day delivery.
Unfortunately I opened up a credit card with Conn’s to get the 0% APR, but after this experience, I will never do business with them again. I don’t mind being patient and waiting for my product, even AFTER they told me it was in stock… It’s the miscommunication and poor business practices of not keeping me informed and wasting my PTO/​time that makes me most angry. Go somewhere else where they actually know when their product is going to be available to be shipped to you, and not lie to you and give you the runaround.

When they do a credit check they use G.E. who is now Synchrony bank. Synchrony is being ordered by the federal government to pay millions for fraudulently charging people mass interest charges on accounts after being promised no interest. I got a letter and couldn’t get a reason as to why I got it from Synchrony, so I called Conns and Conns was rude. The guy kept saying, I don’t know anything about that, I don’t work for G.E. ok? Ok? Sorry I can’t help you, Ok? Ok?

Also, shopping there is worse than the malls because they hawk over you like crazy. Give you no time or freedom to make decisions. I don’t shop like that. Even if I went there to buy something I already made my mind up on. I just don’t put up with that. I’d rather pay more money to a place that leaves me alone unless I ask for help. A simple, are you doing alright is fine, but the hounding is not cool.
