Mr. B and I LOVELOVELOVE pizza! Good pizza that is. If it were up to us, we’d have pizza at least 5 out of the 7 nights of the week. The building setting is a house turned into an eating establishment. The service was good and the food was GREAT! In reality, 2 people can share a pizza and large salad and be good. Mr. B and are selfish and greedy so, sharing was not an option on the pizza situation; we did share the salad. The bill was a little hefty for 2 pizzas, a large salad and 3 glasses of vino but, you can’t put a price on good food and service. The servers were extremely attentive, which was a huge plus. We will definitely be back for date night. Definitely a must try if you’re in the area.

My husband and I held an event in the Cibo carriage house last night. I cannot say enough how great it was. The carriage house looked great, the food was awesome, and Nicole and the rest of the staff could not have been more amazing! Planning the event was completely stress free, and everything went off without a hitch. Even our guests commented on how nice everything was. We are beyond pleased with our experience, and will definitely be back for the food!

With the heaters, the outdoor patio was perfect. It’s a particularly nice patio with lots of landscaping. We had a Tartufata pizza, which was very tasty with the Bigi wine. Service needed a kick-start, but after that, it was very good.(I think the hostess forgot to mention us to the server.) The server proved to be very nice and attentive. Food: 4 stars Service: 4 stars Ambiance: 4 stars We really loved the ambiance of the patio. Inside looked very cozy.

Came here for lunch while we were in Phoenix. We looked at restaurants in the area(downtown), and Cibo kept coming up due to the amount of reviews and the high ratings. Overall, I thought it was pretty good, especially relative to Phoenix restaurants. FOOD: 4 stars. The food here was really good — better than I was expecting. The only thing I didn’t like was the Bruschetta three ways. One piece comes with the traditional tomatoes, basil, and olive oil(really good), one piece had prosciutto(?) and cheese on it(second best, not great) and the third piece had something with olives on it. I didn’t even try it because I absolutely hate olives. It would be a lot better if they stuck to the traditional tomato, basil, olive oil one. The Caprese Salad was also really good and it came as a pretty large portion. we ordered the pizza due to the recommendation by our server. The pizza was really good, especially for having no pizza sauce. It was light and didn’t give us a food coma feeling. The only drawback was that their lunch menu didn’t offer any pasta, which was a little disappointing. Apparently they make their own pasta in house for dinner only, which I really wanted to try but didn’t get to. Everything we ordered was really good and I would order it again! SERVICE: 4 stars. Service was really good and really patient. I appreciated our sever’s patience while we had a lot of questions and a lot of requests. Everything came out quickly and was really good! LOCATION: 4 stars. Cute restaurant but I was so confused walking up to it. I thought it was someone’s house, honestly. It was hard to find the actual front door for the main restaurant, because there is a smaller side of the place adjacent to it. This place is really good and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for Italian food in the area.

Cibo — what a beautiful setting. I love the patio, and love that it’s in an awesome historic house in downtown Phoenix. The pizza is very good and the spicy salami is the icing on the pie! Good crust, good cheese, good sauce. And I’ve never had bad service. My one complaint is that the salads aren’t all that — they’re passable, but the salads at Forno 301 and even Grazie in Scottsdale are much better. If you improve on these, you’ll have a really good thing going. I always try to pass it up, but never can — the nutella and mascarpone crêpe. DELICIOUS! It’s a great overall experience for date night, family meal, afternoon snack and wine on a beautiful patio — keep it up Cibo!

Unilocal’s noting my check-ins here and asking what keeps me coming back. What keeps me coming back? The burrata. A meal in itself. A perfect dish to share in such a romantic setting… smear some of the creamy, milky burrata on a toast piece and top with delicate prosciutto and chase it with super-garlicky, perfectly acidic, tiny tomatoes. The crust. Perfectly chewy crust delivers the pizza toppings of your choice. Red or white: you can’t go wrong! The ambiance. This place has such charm! I love the setting; whether on the patio or inside, it’s the kind of place you could linger and solve the world’s problems over a bottle of wine and course after course of delicious food!

If you’re visiting Phoenix, this is one place I highly recommend visiting. It’s a cute small looking cottage that is literally on a block of houses. The ambiance inside is indescribable. The close knit, dim lighting, and happy go lucky people chattering amongst each other reminds me of pubs in England. All the severs I encountered were genuine and friendly, the food itself tasted super fresh and was visually appealing. None of that food coma. Their pizza are made in a brick fired oven topped with farm fresh ingredients and definitely worth sharing. The price itself is crazy affordable for such great quality. I do recommend making a reservation for dinner as it gets quite packed. Both the inside and outside seating are simply divine. Great date spot.

I really like this place. I’ve been there only once to celebrate a friend’s birthday and we arrived just on time for Happy Hour. Their happy hour menu’s pretty good. They offer the regular stuff, drinks and some appetizers but everything we tried was very good. Cute place for dinner too. Their patio’s decorated with lights so it has somehow a «festive» touch but it also makes a cute spot for a date. It’s really loud, though and very crowded. We were seating outside but all the tables inside were taken too. If a place is that packed, it can’t be bad, right? Give it a try. You’ll understand why it has so many good reviews.

I want to give this place a 5 but every time I’ve been here the service has not been great. The food is awesome though. I highly recommend the eggplant sandwich. The pastrami sandwich is pretty good too. Valet, metered, and free street parking available. Great lunch place.

Alright, so I’m just going to start off by saying that I was running on a short amount of time in the area & my only main mission was the crepes. lol. YES, you read correctly. I’m a huge sucker for an awesome, crisp to perfection, deliciously stuffed, delightfully tasteful crêpe & I will tell you this, they are HARD to find. Before calling it a night last night, I didn’t want to take the chances of missing the opportunity to enjoy one of these babies before our departure back home. So, I called in an order around 10pm(luckily they close at 11 on saturday nights). I ordered the banana & nutella crêpe w/strawberries added to it. I didn’t want the ‘à la mode’ as I didn’t want the ice cream melting on the drive home. O.M.G…This was delicious! I HAD to open it up in the car to see what it looked like(wish I hadn’t, it made me hungrier) it looked amazing! As soon as we got back to our rooms, I couldn’t help but start indulging it. It was perfectly crispy on the outside with drizzled chocolate and powdered sugar on top, the inside was even more of a delight being completely stuffed! I’ll definitely be back, you’ve won Cibo. Let’s see what your entrée’s have to offer next.

Great spot for a work lunch! Cibo had been on my list for a while. Had a chance to eat their for a work lunch and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff is attentive, food options are appealing, and the ingredients used all combine for a very appealing feast. Orders, drinks and bread, and meals all hit our table with perfect timing. We had the Margherita Pizza and a Capri Salad. Both were excellent. The pizza bread was perfect and they did not make an oily mess of the cheese. The flavors of the cheese and sausage(I added) came through nicely, without overpowering. My colleage commented that her salad was fresh and also excellent. Will be back to try some other option!

Lunch was good, but not great. We ordered a salad, three pizzas(everything sans the margherita pizza) and two sandwiches(PLT and one w/meatball) Anything with prosciutto in it was a little too salty for me. The salad was good with cherry tomatoes and mozzarella. The pizza were mediocre. They were very soggy in the middle while being slightly burnt on top. Lastly, the sandwiches were good, but the PLT was too salty. This place is probably better for dinner.

If I judged restaurants on ambiance alone, and I feel that many people do, I’d probably consider Cibo to be the best in the city. Although the ultra-trendy bungalow setup has now become somewhat of a hipster cliché in downtown Phoenix, I’m pretty sure Cibo was there long before the downtown scene started picking up. Locals seem to flock here for their pizza and wine fixes. Based on the conversations I’ve overheard while eating, it’s clear that Cibo not only serves as an ideal first-date place, but a somewhat secretive hideaway for middle-aged couples having mid-life marital affairs(I’ve witnessed both first-hand at nearby tables). Cibo offers up a fairly decent pizza. One thing I do like, is that they’ll gladly let you do half-and-half pies. Most of these Neapolitan places arrogantly scoff at the mere mention of the idea. In fact, they even let you combine a white pizza with a red one, which is very rare, but incredibly convenient given all of their different choices. While I give Cibo credit for offering some interesting creations, is it really necessary to have 22 different pizzas(sans the calzones) on the menu? Oddly enough, despite all of these ridiculous options that give me anxiety at first glance, their best pizza is a pretty standard-fare margherita. Their calzone, which is rather alarming at first, due to its massive size, is also good. Although I hate admitting that I am partial to the ones served at Pomo Pizzeria. Their burrata appetizer was all right, but not something I’d probably order again. We’ve also tried their linguine pasta, which I liked, but for all the wrong reasons. It reminded me of Kraft mac and cheese(one of my guilty pleasures), which I’m pretty sure was not their intention. The banana and nutella crêpe with a scoop of ice cream has never disappointed and is one of the few things that I feel they’ve got down to a science. Their canned sodas seems like kind of an odd choice, especially considering most pizzerias opt for the glass bottle selection. It seems rather ghetto in comparison to everything else on the menu. Not everyone drinks wine, you know? I feel that it’s worth an occasional visit, but will probably never be at the top of my list of places to regularly frequent. I guess that just makes me tragically unhip, but I’d much rather enjoy the limited, but yet exceptional pie options from Bianco or Il Bosco, I guess sometimes, simplicity wins in the end. But I still feel it’s a good place to visit every now and again.

We came here for a double date night and as we stepped in, I absolutely adored the design of the restaurant. It was as though it was someone’s house with multiple rooms, diverse paintings, and a beautiful outdoor patio. We all ordered pizza to share. They also let you do half and half on your pizza so you don’t have to be stuck with one type. We ordered half Genova and half La Noce. Super delicious!

Came for dinner and there was live music outside. We chose the outdoor dining despite worries(and an eventual) mosquito bite. The outdoor seating is super romantic and pretty. It’s large and comfortable, plus not near a busy street so it feels private. We tried one pizza(split into two types), pear salad, and a bolognese pasta. Everything was delicious. We spent a long time reviewing the menu since there were so many options and combinations. Eventually, we did ask for recommendations. First pick for pizza was the mushrooms and the second was one with sliced Italian bacon. The pear salad added some additional sweet flavor so we ended up not even choosing a dessert to try. This place is great for small groups or even an intimate evening for two. We didn’t have a wait, but I would recommend a person to go early to get better seating. We were not right in front of the musicians, but close enough to hear each other speak and enjoy the music.

This is an old 1913 bungalow in downtown Phoenix and has a great patio. I can’t say enough about this place, the food is amazing and so is the service. The fresh burrata is so light and creamy, the fresh savory zeppole OMG, lets just say I could just eat those and burrata and be happy. The homemade pasta and pizza are very tasty with great sauces and toppings. Make sure you are prepared for on street metered parking or using the complimentary valet as long as its not full.

I love Cibo. Whether it’s brunch, dinner, or a random meal, it’s always so good here. After trying a few pizzas, I can’t pick a favorite. Each one is made so well, with such delicious and fresh ingredients, that it’s hard to go wrong. I guess if you pick a pizza with ingredients you hate, it won’t be good, but probably not any fault of Cibo. Happy hour is really nice. Cheap house wine and Italian beer, plus a sample of food items. The gnocchi is fantastic — really wonderful and great to split with a couple people. In terms of appetizers, it’s so hard to beat the caprese. The seasoning on the tomatoes is out of this world. It’s my favorite caprese in Phoenix. Again, if you aren’t huge on Nutella, dessert might be a bit challenging. That being said, I love sharing a strawberry and Nutella crêpe with my husband at the end of a meal at Cibo. It’s so good… so good. Can’t really describe it any other way.

Seriously one of my favorite places to eat for date night. Very romantic vibe and excellent food. The service is paced for a dining experience, so don’t expect to go in rushing to eat. Great wine, food, ambiance and service. Nothing but great things happening here!

Amazing little pizza joint in downtown Phoenix. I cannot believe I just found this place, though I’ve lived up the street for over five years. Location: 5th Ave, downtown Phoenix. There’s street parking here and there, but I can walk! Food: Pizza, salads, sandwiches, bread, Nutella-based desserts, wine. We ordered a pear salad that was tasty; it included arugula, pear, and cheese. The bread delivered with the salad was a white chewy bread. My friend wanted meat on his pizza, and I didn’t. They allowed us to get half and half; I got my veggie pizza on one side, and his sausage was on the other. Perfect! The dessert we ordered was kind of like a delicious deconstructed funnel cake with Nutella for dipping sauce — delicious! Service: The servers were efficient and brought us water throughout and were helpful and quick. I wouldn’t say the employees were overly friendly, though. While walking in, a female employee opened the door but just kind of stood there, not saying anything. No, «welcome» or «hello» — nothing. Strange to me, but that’s my Texan roots craving some more friendliness! For reservations, one must have a group of six or more to make reservations. We just had two but easily found a table on a Saturday evening at 5:30pm.

In an old house on 5th Ave North of Van Buren where you can sit inside or outside where there is live entertainment. This is the 2nd time I have been there and enjoyed it more the 2nd time than the first. Ordered pizza both times and this time had the Funghi Pizza with Italian Sausage. Good thickness with the crust and a good amount of mushrooms and Sausage. The Capricciosa was tasty with the black olives and artichokes with the black olives on the strong side. The service was excellent with our server(Kul) who made sure we were taken care of. The parking is along the street with a small amount in the back. I like that it is far enough from downtown to avoid the crowd yet close enough if you have an event downtown. Will be back again to try other items on the menu.
