The people at this O’Reilly Auto Parts are so nice. Everyone in there was friendly! Greg was especially helpful in getting me get some oil in my car when I desperately need it! He was cautious about not selling me too much because my dip stick is TOTALLY unreadable. I can’t tell you how much I appreciated him! I would recommend them any day!

I had a small problem with my car just before our family vacation. The employees went FAR above and beyond to help me, and let me borrow a few tools so that I could fix everything.
I’ve only gone there one other time. We needed to move some furniture, so we went in to look into how to get our truck ready to tow a U-​haul.
The employees really listened to our problems and suggested using a tarp and ropes. That solution that worked great for less money. Then they took the extra time to demonstrate how to tie down the load.

Ed was really helpful when I asked him to check under the hood for coolant leaks. He answered all my questions and was really sweet. I will definitely go back!

I have been a loyal O’Reilly customer for years (ever since they acquired the Kragen in my old town) but the customer service in the Pflugerville location is quickly encouraging me to find a new parts supplier.
I have been into this location a handful of times over the past 4 months that I’ve been living in Pflugerville. I’ve come in for a variety of things, mostly pads/​rotors and oil change supplies so far. With the exception of Aubrey (one extra star just for him) and one other older gentleman that I dealt with, this shop seems to be staffed entirely by snotty 16 year old kids who can’t be bothered to treat their customers like human beings. On one occasion I sat at the counter for 5 minutes while the kid in front of me related a story to his co-​workers about illegally hunting bucks with his friend’s tags instead of looking up the one single part I had come in to purchase. Standing in front of the computer, hand on the mouse, talking for minutes straight like I’m not even there.
I get it, they’re kids, so it never really bothered me THAT much. But this morning it was the same thing again. I come in to have a set of rotors turned, a different kid looks at me like I have two heads when I suggest I want my rotors resurfaced. Tells me they can only do it if they aren’t below the minimum thickness, I say yes I know this, I already mic’d em and they’re good to go. He double checks as it is his job to do, and seems awfully disappointed that he’s actually gotta do the work now. He then takes down my name and number so he can call me when they’re done, even though O’Reillys website advertises rotor resurfacing WHILE YOU WAIT. Again, not a huge deal, but not what’s advertised.
One other small incident: ordered an oil drain plug to replace the beat up one on my truck, paid for it in advance, and they charged me for it a second time when I picked it up. Didn’t realize it until a few days later when I found both receipts at the same time. Wasn’t worth going back to deal with them over $ 2.
I’ve been coming to O’Reillys for about 7 years now because the prices are pretty good and the rewards program isn’t bad, but I’m more than willing to spend the extra few bucks at a Napa to be treated with at least a little respect.

What a nightmare!
The engine barely turned over on our car so I stopped in here and asked them to test the battery. One of their clerks put this rinky-​dink little hand held device that wasn’t much bigger than a cell phone on it and, after some struggle, said the battery was fine, but the alternator needed replacement. He really did not seem like he knew what he was doing at all. I should have not trusted the guy.
They did not have an alternator in stock at this location so they had one brought over from another location within the hour. At this point, one would think: Score! Right? Yeah, not so much!
So, I brought the alternator to a mechanic down the street to have it installed. They found that the electrical connector on the new alternator was damaged. So, I called O’Reillys and they apologized and told me that they had another alternator in another location and would have it delivered directly to the mechanic at 7:30am the next day.
At 11:30am the next day, I get a call from the mechanic wondering where the alternator is. I call O’Riellys and they apologize and said they would deliver it right away. Ugh!
I go pick up my car from the mechanic later that afternoon. The mechanic says that O’Riellys not only picked up the damaged alternator, but also picked up my original bad alternator that I needed to get back to O’Riellys for a core credit.
So, I then go back to O’Riellys and after explaining the issue, the clerk there reluctantly issues me a core credit all the while making me feel as if I am stiffing them. I REALLY hate that!
But wait! That’s not all! Then next day, my car is starting slow again. It turns out the problem was never the alternator, but rather it was the battery all along. I never needed to replace the alternator at all. Ugh!
This place cost me $ 375 that I did not need to spend. Avoid this location … they do not know what they are doing!
