Fina African Hair Braiding

Amazing experience!!! My second time here and not only does my hair look amazing but I was able to get blessed by everyone here today especially by Fina and her husband!!! I will never go to another place and if you want quality hair styles with a positive environment this is the place to be

Yesterday was my first time getting my hair braided at Fina’s shop and I don’t get my hair braided often because I’m severely tender — headed, but I absolutely 100% love the outcome. Of course the time in the chair is long and tiresome, but for me, it was worth it. I recommend this shop to everyone in the area interested in looking good at a fair price. I didn’t even mind the Christian channels and movies. I was intrigued and believe I was at the right place at the right time to hear the testimony of others. :)

I went there this past Monday to get my hair done. It was a same day appointment. I knew what I wanted, so I explained clearly to Fina. She did a great job, and charged me what she said she was going to charge me. I bought my own hair. Cheaper that way by three dollars a bag I think. Oh, And I appreciated that she did not argue when I did not think that my braids were small enough. Instead she just changed the size without changing the price. The shop was clean. It would be nice for the customer to see that the combs being used are being sanitized before being used on her/​him. One thing that I hoped would be different from the other African braiding stores was eating while doing my hair. I cannot STAND the sound of anyone chewing, and especially that close to my ear! Makes me want to puke. I do not mind someone taking a five or 10 minute break to go take a bite and come back. I got preached to, prayed on, and that was cool — didn’t mind it. It would be nice if there were two people doing my hair so that I would be out of there sooner. But my hair looks fabulous despite the 8 hrs and 26 minutes of sitting lol! I forgot my leftover hair.
I will definitely return. Fina does an awesome job, judging by my results and her Instagram pictures all the customers that she has worked on.

3 stars due to having to sit through hours of televangelists shows begging for your hard earned cash. And having a owner who does more «preaching & testifying» than a out of town snake oil salesman (she admitted she had recently converted from Islam to Christianity) well bully for you! But can you provide me with a pleasant hair braiding experience? Dunno… Just saying.
3 stars for the very very slow braider who took like 8 hrs on my hair… usually takes previous braiders half that time.
3 stars for the directions not being followed with how to braid the front of my hair, yeh I spent a hour of my own time correcting that at home… what did I pay you for?
Yeh…I’m seeing another braider who is aaaawwwwesome who believes in customer service and professionalism.

This is the shop you want to go to if you’re looking for hair care. I drove past the shop a few times while doing research for a braid shop with a solid reputation. After deciding to make an appointment, I stopped by to check the shop, and braiders, out. I was impressed by the warm welcome I received, and the cleanliness of the shop. I made an appointment. The day of my appointment I wasn’t feeling well and didn’t want to cancel. After the braiders (Grace) began to work on my hair, I started feeling worse. I was truly touched by the concern that Grace and owner Fina showed me. They were amazing, even praying for my healing. I went for a braid style, and got a great twists to adorn my full spirit. This is where you want to go if you’re looking for professional, spirit filled, knowledgeable stylists. I’ll go here… always.
