The good: Lawrence went to one of my rent houses that needed an AC repair, on a Sunday. He did the repair quickly, and got the house cooled down, in no time. He then came to my house, to get paid. The bad: Lawrence told me the job would be $ 230, max, if the AC needed a charge. I never heard from him, again, until AFTER he had done the work. Then, I was told it would be $ 418! He told me he replaced a dual capacitor and hosed off the condenser housing. When he came to my house, he got very testy when I asked for a receipt before I paid him: «I could have told you I was too busy to do your job!» The very bad: I was charged $ 289 to replace a $ 32 dual capacitor! The actual replacement takes about ten minutes, from what I’ve read, online. Final analysis: I got kind of burned, but my tenants got cooled down, quickly, on a Sunday. Would I use this company again? Only if there was an agreement made that I would be notified how much the needed work was going to be BEFORE it was done.

You can stop looking! Call Lawrence. My AC went out on Friday night. The company my builder listed that I should call, had a machine and responded by Monday. A company that was recommended at my child’s gymnastics wanted me to wait till Monday to start figuring out what was wrong. Lawrence came out promptly the next morning, diagnosed the problem, quoted a price, and took care of the warranty hassle and viola! I only had to take off a few hours Monday morning, since he came in with 2 extra guys, and knocked it out before lunch. What he does not know is that the company my builder recommended called me back, and quoted me a price that was higher than his and they wouldn’t be done till Tuesday. No thanks. Lawrence is friendly, polite and explains what is going on with your system. He is not pushy and he gets the work done quickly. There is no need to call anyone else. Just call(512) 252‑4700. Why do we hate A/C repairs? We generally have to spend a huge wad of cash on something other than a tangibly cool new entertainment system or a vacation. Lawrence was timely, reasonable, and personable. He did not give me a window of time to be at home. He gave me a specific time and he was ONTIME a little early actually. He diagnosed my problem(it was a big one — raccoon in the crawl space shredded some duct work) and he gave me options. He came back at the agreed time(on time) and did the repairs. His team did the work, cleaned up, verified that everything was in working order, and charged me the reasonable rate he quoted initially. I will definitely recommend him to friends and should I(knock on wood) ever need repairs again(crafty raccoons), I will definitely call 7 Star.
