Virginia Skydiving Center

This was one of the most incredible experiences of my life!!! Its been 2 days and I cannot stop thinking about flying through the air! From start to finish, my smile never left my face! The instructors were absolutely fabulous, I thought we would be training for hours, but I was up and done in less than 2! Everyone at VSC is so friendly, fun, and knowledgeable. Like someone said before, these guys jump CONSTANTLY but they don’t make you feel like it, they really play into the first-​time excitement!
My tandem partner Doug and videographer Sparky were top notch– so funny, just wanting to make my time as fun as possible! I’ve already looked into doing single dives and I cannot wait to get back in the air! If you’re on the fence about doing this, DO IT! You will not regret it!

Was an absolutely great experience. Our instructor, Rob, who also happened to be my tandem partner really approached it like this was my first time, which it was and I was nervous as hell.
Although these guys jump multiple times a day I felt like they really understood that most of the jumpers in the class were also doing it for the first time.
Will be going again with out a second thought.

The good. The overall experience from initial contact and ending with the jump was outstanding. I was looking forward to skydiving for years. Virginia skydiving center did not disappoint.
The warm and friendly service started with Sherry whom did a fantastic job of making me feel comfortable when she heard the nervousness in my voice. Better than that, she greeted me by name when I walked trough the door. I felt like she already knew me and that there was a personal connection.
My instructor Dave was amazing and went over everything in great detail and I felt completely relaxed and worry free about having him as my instructor for my first ever tandem jump.
Eric was my videographer and interviewer. He exuded positive energy and jokes from start to finish. He listened to me during the interview and came back with follow up questions which made my video feel personal and different from anyone else.
I could not wait to post this video on facebook for all of my friends and family to see.
The bad. I was given a dvd copy of my jump roughly 35 – 40 minutes after my jump. Initially it was going to take up to 7 days to receive an email stating that my video was ready for online viewing and sharing. I sent an email to Sherry stating that seven days was too long to wait and she apologized and had my video ready within a few hours. After bragging to everyone about how much they were going to love my video, when I went to share it online, I was redirected to the Virginia skydiving center website where I had to enter in my email address and zip code in order to view the video. When I shared the link on facebook, again I had to enter my email address and zip code to view the video and so does anyone else who wants to view my video in a small window with no option to download it or go into a fullscreen mode. It may seem small but this is a really big deal, no one wants to enter an email address just to see a video.
I was excited about sharing my video with my friends and family. Not being able to do that has ruined what had overall been a great experience for me. What, I remember most about my experience is not being able to easily share my video with friends and family.
I would do another jump with these guys without giving it a second thought. But i would not recommend anyone purchase the video even if it is your first jump.

I’m new to VA and am fortunate enough to live very close to VSA. I am currently a skydiver on student status and came from a different dropzone. The staff at VSA are very nice, helpful, and accommodating. The instructors are excellent, very knowledgeable and friendly. Everyone that I interacted with there were awesome. This is the 4^th DZ that I’ve been to (3 in CA), and it is now my favorite. I’m looking forward to many more jumps here!

I cannot rave enough about the experience I had at Virginia Skydiving Center!
My girlfriend bought us both tandem skydives for my birthday and we drove down from DC.
I’ll note that I think I was the normal amount of nervous that you should be when you’re about to leap from a perfectly working aircraft. My tandem partner Alan was very thorough in explaining everything that was going to happen, and he answered all my questions fully, even the ones I know he’s gotten a thousand times. I was very impressed by him.
My girlfriend however is absolutely terrified of flying. She had been seriously concerned about the jump all week, but this was on her bucket list, so she joined me for my birthday jump. Her instructor Doc could not have been a more perfect match for her. He was great at keeping her calm and letting her know everything was safe and that he knew exactly what he was doing. By the time we landed, she had the world’s biggest smile on her face, and she said she loved it!
Seriously, if I had some sort of magic, never ending credit card, I would have kept jumping all day.

I have been thinking about skydiving for many years. Finally, for my 50^th birthday, my wife bought me a ticket. She researched several places and, although we live in Virginia Beach, she chose Virginia Skydiving Center. She picked VSC because they looked like they had the stuff together, and when your considering jumping out of an airplane, you want to place to have their stuff together.
I did my tandem skydive yesterday and I can’t say enough great things about this place! Sherry greeted us by name before we were even in the door. My instructor «Kramer» was awesome. He explained every detail of the jump prior to and led me through every step from getting on the plane to landing. Matt, the video guy was awesome. My video and still photos turned out wonderful.
The jump was the most intense feeling I ever had… and I’m considering doing it again sometime.
