Horrible business ethics. My daughters 5th grade class was supposed to go for a week and they postponed two weeks due to an outbreak of bed bugs! Yuck! After the school had to do rearranging to accommodate the change in schedule, two weeks later they still had not fixed the problem and now a trip that has been paid for and their class has been looking forward to for years will notice be happening at all. There is no excuse for this at all. Coming to the school and doing projects with the students does not make up for this is any way shape or form and they should be ashamed for ruining something for the students that they have been planning for and working for the entire school year!

Our child went to a school trip. One of the cabins had bed bugs identified while our children were there. The Marin County Department of Public Health was contacted who confirmed the bed bug infestation. They put our children’s belongings in plastic bags, but now we are left to deal with the risk of infestation of our homes. Beware of bed bugs at this facility.

My son spent a week here with B’chol Lashon and came home with rave reviews. I can’t speak to anything about the facilities, as a 9-year-old doesn’t communicate much, but the fact that he came home happy was the important thing. One issue we had was that the GPS for the address wasn’t accurate to the location. We had to travel about ¼ mile further along Marshall-Petaluma Rd than the GPS located.

My son went there on a 3 night 5th grade fieldtrip. He usually says anything related to school is ‘boring’ and he ‘learned nothing’. I was shocked that he actually liked this trip. I did not attend, but it seems like they learned a lot and stayed really busy. He even liked the food! His school was chaperoned by class parents, so did not have the issue some others referenced.

Jut got back from science camp at walker creek. We brought about 120+ sixth graders and had a wonderful time. The staff are very attentive and made our stay very pleasant. The students had the time of their lives! Our school has been here for many years, and will continue our tradition for years to come. Highly recommended

I attended SPIN Academy, a workshop for non-profit communicators, at Walker Creek Ranch all week. The staff at the ranch is amazing. All food served is from the immediate area, including the beef, and they apparently do lots of programs for school-age kids in Marin. Facilities offer Internet only in the classroom, which was a welcome break for most participants. The ranch was perfect for our purposes and was an excellent backdrop for a productive week of activities. Amazing this retreat is a short drive from San Francisco.

My son went to this camp and ended up hospitalized with severe vomiting, intestinal distress and bleeding(as did about 75 other campers). They tried to blame Noravirus but he tested negative. Also refused to pay my out of pocket medical expenses

My child’s class attended this camp last year via their school. The bullying was relentless, teachers treated it like a week off and 16 year old cabin leaders were in charge of our kid’s welfare 23 of the 24h/day!!! THEPROBLEMSATTHISCAMPNEVERGETREPORTEDTOPARENTS. During our camp, parents were not allowed to attend as chaperones… just allowed to provide transportation. The US Dept of Education has conducted an investigation this month and this camp will be cited for numerous Civil Rights violations. This camp is owned/operated and mismanaged by the Marin Co Office of Education and ask around… this place is dangerous!!!

Wonderful wedding weekend at Walker Creek Ranch. The accommodations are, well, primitive and pricey, but the family put on an amazing weekend of festivities. The food was amazing(was that done by the Ranch?) and just being outside(forced outside, really) was special. The organic garden was beautiful and lovingly tended, the pond swimming was a must, and most of the staff was friendly and accommodating. i am so blessed to have been invited and included in this family.

Once upon a time, I enjoyed camping. I was also under the influence of many drugs. Nowadays, I associate camping with screaming teenagers, uncomfortable sleeping arrangements, and communal showers. With all this being said, Walker Creek Ranch goes above abd beyond a normal camp site. We use these guys every year to host us and our 60+ teens while we train them how to be even better students and leaders. They took care of everything. and I do mean EVERYTHING. Meals were delicious, veggie/vegan friendly and nutritious. They even take food allergies into consideration! All of our needs for space were generously met and they even built our campfire for us(somehow they knew I was not the best girl scout). As much as I associate my weekends here with dentists, pap smears, and oil changes, it is by no fault the staff or facitlities fault but instead due to the fact that I AMNOT A CAMPER. And let’s face it, for a non camper to rate a camp site 4 stars? It must be pretty bitchen.
