Super Sweeps

We hired these guys in December 2015 to come and fix our fireplace so that we could use the fireplace over the holidays. They completed an inspection and convinced us they could fix the fireplace. I wrote them a check for $ 2,000 and 48 hours after they left we tried the fireplace and smoke continued to come into our house. From there on, it was very difficult to get James to come back and fix the problem. Later in January he finally made time to come back and inspect the fireplace further. I gave him another $ 300 to fix something else and he assured me this would do the job. The fireplace still leaked smoke in my home. He then educated me on the fact that he has multiple levels of inspection. I only paid for level 1 but I needed a level 3 inspection. I asked him why he didn’t tell me about a level 3 inspection on the front end of the job? I feel like he absolutely misled us. I would have paid for the top inspection. I confronted him on this and he was extremely unprofessional with a very condescending attitude over the phone. It’s now mid February and about 3 weeks ago he agreed to give me a date when he could do a level 3 inspection. I have yet to hear from him. At this point, after $ 2300 and 3 months later, I still can’t use my fireplace and need to find another company. I would not recommend this guy for any work. He is very junior, unprofessional, and not very responsive. Go hire another firm. I now have to and it’s extremely disappointing.

I just moved into a new place, and the previous owner had not used the fireplace in 12 years. Home inspection noted a crack in the refractory wall. I had called another company, and, well, I was underwhelmed with the phone conversation. Or their pricing.
I called Super Sweeps, primarily because of an advert in the weekly ValPak. An appointment was set. I was told in advance that an inspection would cost $ 99 with that amount being applied to any work that needed to be done.
Considering I know zip about chimneys, James and his partner (sorry — I can’t recall your name) explained what needed doing, inspected the whole fireplace, and chimney. James could easily have told me all sorts of things and I’d have had to believe him. The crack was repaired, and a sweep wasn’t recommended at this time. I was prepared to be told that!
These guys are honest, hardworking, and work clean.
Highly recommend these people. In a year or so, when I will need a sweep, I will absolutely be calling them.

We have a free-​standing fireplace in our living room. It hasn’t worked as long as I have lived here and I finally had enough. I called Super Sweeps to have it checked out and hopefully get it working again. The quality of service was excellent, and I feel that the estimate we were given was fair and we weren’t going to get overcharged to get our fireplace repaired. I already referred Super Sweeps to my co-​workers because I was so happy with the quality of their service.

As a fellow chimney sweep it is refreshing to know there are honest service people out there and James is one of them.
I only refer my customers to someone I trust.

I called in to get an inspection as my chimney has been sitting dormant for quite awhile. I left a message and promptly received a call back. They were extremely polite and professional. They did a great job and let me know of some issues that will arise in the future but were honest enough to let me know that the work did not need to be done at this time. Highly recommend using Super Sweeps.

I read horrible reviews about other companies and was fearful when they showed up, but they were fantastic. First thing they did was introduce themselves and then took off their shoes without even being asked! Very courteous and likable guys (so sorry I can’t remember your names). They actually came out through Heart’s Chimney & Ducts, but I cannot find that company, so… I got a great deal. They did a super job. There was no rip-​offs about things needing repair that did not, they took away a lot of soot and none of it was spread throughout my house. They laid plastic and it was all very painless and reasonable. I recommend either company.

I live off Trinity Rd in Glen Ellen, and up here we depend on fire heat to keep us warm so a dependable chimney specialist is important. I was first referred to Super Sweeps by a friend who also was a satisfied customer, this company is professional and affordable. I will recommend this company to anyone with any kind of chimney work needed! Thx again for everything.
