Raydiris si an artista and so down to earth. She is so booked ahead and I wait when I’m in the salon, but she takes such good care. Great people, always so friendly. Raydiris es una artista y tan buena gente. Ella es muy ocupada y aveces tienes que esperar, pero te va a dar un gran cuidado. Toda la gente ahí es amigable. Se lo recomiendo:)

Ugh! Where do I even begin?! I’ve recently moved to NJ from NY& I’ve been looking for a new salon to call home so I don’t have to trek all the way back to NY to get my hair done. I found this salon on Unilocal!& I thought that it would be cool based on the previous reviews. Wrong! I’m the first customer to get there. I’m not greeted with an hello or anything just a blank stare. I introduce myself and let them know that I wanted a wash & set. The lady showed me to the shampoo bowl where, while she was washing my hair, her beaded bracelet was hitting my in the eye, nose & forehead. That bothered me obviously. She continues to wash my hair and doesn’t ask if I was interested in a deep conditioner which I was but it was never presented. She roll set me and showed me to the dryer. The dryer was set on Medium heat I’m guessing because it felt like cold air. When the dryer was done, she took the rollers out but I knew my hair was damp due to the low heat setting on the dryer. Nevertheless, I knew she’d blow me out next. I let her know that I like my hair with a lot of body. I hate straight, flat hair. She blew my hair out in large sections which didn’t do anything. Then she went for the flatiron. I seriously hate the flatiron. Not to mention I said I wanted body. She continued and then slapped on a ton of oil. It left my hair weighed down, flat and super straight. Probably the single worst hair experience of my life. To make matters worse, my roots are thick now because my hair wasn’t blown out or flatironed properly. Oh & I almost forgot. The sign on the door says that they accept cards and they have a card machine but the force you to use an ATM that they have inside the salon which charges you a $ 3 fee. No, thank you. Never again.

No frills typical local salon but amazing job extensions blow outs etc go to the owners daughter or the thin red head. They will pull your hair they will be loud this isn’t a place to relax BUT the final result will be gorgeous! Seriously the result will be better than beyonce on her best day and at urban prices. Friendly and care about hair not just the $$

I came in on a Saturday afternoon. It took less than 2 hours in and out. I don’t even think it took an hour and a half. I have natural 4a hair and my hair came out beautiful and bouncy. My blowout and trim was $ 45. I am not used to the area so for me that was reasonable.

So far my favorite Dominican Salon in NJ. It is so convenient as it is right next to the Perth Amboy train station. You don’t even have to walk a block. It gets very busy on Saturdays. They are very efficient and I still managed to be in and out in and hour and a half. I have natural hair so they did my blow out for 35. Its a bit more expensive than other places but I think its worth it. My sister, who has relaxed hair, goes here and her hair is always fabulous. I don’t know much about how they style as I got my hair blown straight.
