Luigi’s Pizza

Wow after reading some of the negative reviews of this place I almost didn’t go however I wanted to form my own opinion because it was close by. I instantly fell in love when I heard that this restaraunt was BYOB. However after tasting the food it sealed the deal I had ordered the chicken cheesesteak wrap and my boyfriend order the chicken and broccoli pasta everything was amazing. We now eat here at least once a week it has become one of our favorite restaurants in Perth Amboy.

Really tasty eggplant rollatini and house made salad dressing. Oh and the prices are so good I’m not sure how they do it. Great little surprise for someone just passing through! If I ever happen to come through Perth Amboy, NJ again I would certainly eat here.

The food here is good. Specialty slices have all been great. Both homemade soups I tried were delicious. Surprisingly the pasta dish I had was good too. The trouble here is with the way the place is run. Orders take a long time. There isn’t much organization. No ones in a rush to greet you and take your order.

Poor customer Service!
I gone here a few times since they changed management. Unfortunately, the management is not much better.
I called in an order from the Lunch Special Menu. As stated on the menu, I told them that I was ordering off the Lunch Special Menu. In fact, because I was passed around and put on hold, I said it 3 times. Yet, when I got there, they charged me a higher price. They refused to give me the special price because they insisted that I had not told them I was ordering from the special menu.
I also note, as above, that I was passed to another person when I called and then was placed on hold. When I went there to pick up the order, I still had to wait.

Checking back in 6 months later. This place is still awful to the point where I am paying for lunch elsewhere instead of getting free lunch my company pays for from there every day for some reason. I think I am going to take home some of their tomato sauce to get the rust of my grill. Its so acidic that it made me instantly sick to my stomach.

They have a really good white pizza slice. Its nice to eat here, but when I ordered delivery it took a really long time.

— decent delivery times (only slow on one occasion)
— sometimes rude (like seriously??)
— pizza often delivered vertically (dont ask), cheese ended up on one side of the pie, even grease stains on side of pizza box — not an isolated incident
