Welcome House of the Pearl S Buck Foundation

Fantastic place to see the treasures of this extraordinary writer and person. I suggest looking at TripAdvisor reviews of this place, but I tend to think that TripAdvisor is less accurate since a majority of the people writing these reviews have only a handful of reviews. Her house was wonderful. Everything is kept in tact, everything. There are no fences or anything to surround the historic objects, since it adds to the impact of a house, not necessarily a museum. She had lots of merchandise from China, like her books, paintings, silverware, desks, etc. Her love for writing spread throughout the whole house, but what stood out for me was her love for children and her desire to care for them. The site itself was in perfect condition and the landscape was beautiful.

The Pearl Buck House preserves the legacy of famous author, Pearl Buck.
Her work with Amer-​Asian children (she adopted and fostered many) is so important.
Her beautiful old farm house in Buck’s county is great for private events and also offers tours and a histroy of Ms. Buck and her writings.
