The review i’m about to write for Dick’s is basically the Unilocal equivalent of, «with friends like these, who needs enemies?» I stopped in yesterday to kill a little time while I waited for some friends to get home from work, but also because I legit need like two new pairs of shoes for running and training pretty desperately. I gotta work off the holiday grilling season somehow. First off, there is no shortage of places to get shoes in my home base. But I’m in town for a few days, and if I had found a deal, I might’ve dropped some dollars right then and there. There was one pair of Adidas that were pretty sweet, but I wouldn’t know about any deals to be had because NOONESTOPPEDBY. For serious. I was perusing for dang near 15 mins, making eye contact with no less than two associates filling stock and directing the floor, and I got a big fat Nada. So I left. Because no one should have to go chasing down the help. I need shoes, but I don’t need them THAT badly. Apparently, the kids at Dick’s felt the same way. I can’t speak to anyone else getting better or worse service than I did. Almost every employee I passed on the way in and out generally had his or her head down, not really engaging with anyone(with the exception of a nice bald dude in the bikes/outdoor area.) My dogs will just have to bark a little more, for the time being.
