If I could give them zero stars I would! Completely screwed up my order. didn’t include half the food that I paid for. called them about it and the kid was rude. I will never go back again. lots of better options for Chinese food.

The place is small and very clean. Fast, courteous service. The prices are a little high but the servings are large. The food on the other hand was nothing special. We did like the fried rice and the pot stickers. The egg roll was the same brand of frozen egg rolls everyone serves in Peoria. The beef noodle soup was probably fine but had an odd flavor I could not identify. The cashew chicken was bland but the veggies were nice and fresh. The bottom line is that I’m still looking for good Chinese food in Peoria, particularly good eggrolls.

Worst Pad Thai ever… no sauce, no veggies, and extremely bland. Szechwan chicken was at best, average.

I cant express how much i enjoyed my experience today from the taste and quality of the food to the super friendly service. I was looking forward to ordering off the authentic menu because the dishes on it are not found in the Peoria area. I ordered a cold dish which was the Jellyfish Salad. The sour cabbage had a great crispiness to it and the right amount of vinegar. I believe i tasted a hint of ginger and a small amount of spice which seasoned the well prepared jellyfish. It was sliced thin and not too rubbery… it was slightly crisp and i think i was suppose to share the large portion but it tasted so good i ate it all! I ordered for my meal the Shrimp w/Spiced Salt. I should have counted all the huge shrimp on my plate because it was unbelievable. They were cooked perfectly but i was expecting the dish to be a little spicier because thats how they indicated it on the menu. Nevertheless, the flavor was spot on and the presentation on all the dishes was wonderful. My friends Mongolian Beef he said was delicious because the sauce didnt seem like the same generic thick sauce many places serve with the dish. Everything was good quality. Service was perfect and my iced tea glass was kept full. I found me a new place to eat!

The Pad Thai was soo bland. It had just boiled noodles and no veggies and no pad thai sauces! It tasted very bad.

Upon entering Resteraunt your politely greeted and also see individuals sitting waiting to take orders home. The restaurant is 13 tables so it is not too big. It’s pleasantly decorated. And most important food is just a stick. Everything is cooked well and fresh. This is the only Chinese restaurantmy wife enjoys going to. I especially like the spring rolls as an appetizer, Six small spring rolls with your order. Will definitely come again, again, and again. Additionally they have an office take Chinese menu to order from if you so desire.

Good food for a good price! I really like the walnut shrimp, the broccoli beef and the sesame chicken. Beef fried rice is just ok. On the other side, I didn’t like the sweet and sour chicken, because it was really oily and not crispy.

Let’s be honest. This is your typical quick chinese restaurant. There’s not going to be anything that stands out or grabs your attention. What will happen is you’ll have a quick lunch with cheaply made food and enjoy it because that’s what you went for.

I would still recommend this place for dining in because of the nice service and atmosphere, but I haven’t been very impressed in the 2 – 3 times that I’ve done take-out. Because of the containers that they put them in, I noticed that the portion of the Crispy & Spicy Diced Chicken was significantly smaller than when I dined in. I also would recommend ordering off of the Chinese/Authentic menu — I’ve gotten the beef with black bean sauce and the beef w/mixed vegetables from the regular Americanized menu, and they seemed pretty bland in flavor.

Coming from the Chicagoland area and willing to jump in the car and head to Chinatown, we were a little worried that we were moving to a Chinese-food dead zone and would have to settle. So it is with indescribable joy that I happily announce that we hit a home run the first time out. The food was simply delicious. We went for our old standbys and ordered crab Rangoon, fried rice, beef with broccoli and my youngest’s favorite, sweet and sour chicken. I don’t kid myself– S/S chicken is about as Chinese as a fortune cookie. However, as unauthentic as it is, it’s also a fairly decent barometer for the quality of food you’re going to get. It will sneakily tell you if your restaurant of choice knows… How to make a good batter Has someone paying attention to cook time How often is the frying oil changed out Can your cook make a decent sauce This dish rocked it. The chicken was encased in a light fluffy batter, cooked perfectly and gave a light crunch. Clearly someone is paying attention to the oil — the chicken was light colored(as it should) and clean tasting with no burn smells or smell/flavor of other dishes. The sauce was an excellent balance of sweet and sour The beef with broccoli was wonderful. A nice garlic flavor permeated the dish, the perfect compliment The combo fried rice was outstanding. Nice sized small shrimp, not ‘salad shrimp’ and nice slices of beef. Presentation was really nice as well. The crab Rangoon looked like origami. Nice touch! As another reviewer mentioned, you wouldn’t expect much, walking in from a strip mall but once inside you’d never guess there is a dry cleaner right next door. The décor was very pretty and CLEAN! This place was spotless. Lastly, the staff could not have been more attentive. Friendly and pleasant. And fast! I think my most difficult choice is going to be do I stay and eat or call in for take out. They also offer a traditional Chinese menu for the more adventurous. And lunch specials! Very highly recommended!

I thought it would be a typical American Chinese restaurant. But it turned out awesome! We ordered house special eggplant. Oh my gosh, I am not an eggplant person but I absolutely loved it! I consider it’s real Chinese dish. We also had crispy duck and fish. They were all so good! I recommended this restaurant to all my friends right after I tried it. Some of my friends went and told me they loved it. I am going there with some other friends. It’s just a place where I can find real Chinese dishes!(order them from authentic Chinese food menu)

Great food, decent prices, perfect location for North Peoria/Dunlap area. They also have great service, even though we mostly get carry out. I personally love the spicy black bean chicken, along with the mu shu pork. They also have a great selection of «Traditional Chinese Dishes» that you don’t see in most restaurants.

This place has some of the best Chinese food in the Peoria area. The prices are fairly reasonable as well. I do wish they would deliver, but it is not hard to get to, so pickup is easy. The staff are warm and welcoming and just a very nice bunch of people. I want to give them 3.5 stars, but that is not an option. Overall a very solid place, with a little work on the ambience it could be a four star experience.

The best Chinese take out in Peoria. The staff is incredibly friendly and the food is always good. I’ve lived in Peoria, Bloomington, and Champaign and have never found a place that I like this much. The dine in section is small, quiet, clean, and nicely decorated. Not as good as Al-Abbas Palestinian Chicken though.

First visit tonight hoping I would find a convenient chinese restaurant since our office is out on North Knoxville now. Very disappointed, I ordered one egg roll — came quickly but it was not crispy and was kind of soggy. No sauces on the table, you get a tiny bowl of sweet sauce and when I asked for hot mustard I received two packets. I opened one of them and it was horrible — tasted spoiled. Ordered egg drop soup. It was the norm for egg drop soup. Asked for hot tea and a glass of water. BEWARE!!! A VERYSMALLPOTOFHOTTEAIS $ 2.99. What a joke! Everyone else in town includes hot tea with the meal. I ordered some chicken dish and it tasted burned. You have the choice of white, brown, or fried rice. I asked for fried; but there was no fried rice in that bowl — it was brown — but the waitress insisted it was fried. I do not like brown rice, so I asked for white. Dinner with tip for one person $ 21.00. I WOULDNOTWASTEMYTIMEGOINGHERE! Try Sushiko — much better food and I actually think you will get out with a smaller tab.

Chang’s Wok Inn is a great play on words and quite an elegant place with a casual yet inviting atmosphere. In addition to their regular menu, they offer an authentic Chinese menu that some of us order off of almost exclusively. The authentic menu isn’t extremely large but I can’t complain — I’m always pleasantly surprised to find an authentic menu. We ordered the salt & pepper shrimp and the cumin lamb and both were very well prepared.

First, I’m glad they are open Sundays-expanding our lazy Sunday take-out menu collection is hard in Peoria: «the city where everything closes on Sunday» Second, they have a pretty great website with their food so I don’t have to get out my magnifying glass to read these scanned in menu uploads. But… the food could use a little work. Ordered a trio of items to share including this Crispy Beef that keeps making an appearance in reviews. Eww, seriously? There was NO meat in the little squiggly bright red Cheeto looking twists of deep fried dough. I so wish I had taken a picture before we tossed it out, I notice no one else has included a photo of with their professed love of the Scotland(how authentically Chinese is Scotland??) Crispy Beef. A quick Google search reports: not even one hit. The Seasoned Mixed Veg were super fresh with excellent crunch in a very tasty garlicky sauce. Included broccoli, thin sliced carrots, mushrooms, bamboo shoots & water chestnuts. Would totally get this again. The shrimp lo mein was pretty decent. Shrimps were pretty mushy but had good flavor and there were additional vegetables included with the noodles. Probably would not get the shrimp part again but would try another variety of the lo mein. Overall, I am going to keep their menu clipped with my other trusty Sunday menus and will give them a couple more shots to see if they deserve their spot. Oh, who am I kidding, if I find two things on the menu I like, they are in forever… or until more of Peoria can realize people are hungry on Sundays too.

A friend of mine recommended this restaurant to me recently and I had high expectations since the food on their website looks soooo good! I like to try new things, and was surprised to find one of their dishes called«Scotland Crispy Beef.» After ordering it and trying it all I can say is wow! I couldn’t seem to stop eating this dish and I commend Chang’s Wok Inn for having something on their menu that I’ve never seen at any other Chinese restaurant.(And believe you me, I have been to MANY! :) The dish had a nice smoky /bbq-like seasoning to it, well seasoned and chewy-crispy, great with rice). Ordered a mini-bok choi vegetable dish with garlic that went well with it too. Though we just ordered food to go, the service was really efficient and friendly. The ambiance is also really nice, with good lighting and nice furniture. It’s definitely one of the best-looking Chinese restaurants I’ve seen. Would definitely want to dine in next time to get the whole experience and try other dishes from their authentic menu!

I ordered the Schezwan Tofu, my son ordered the Beef Tendon Noodle Soup. Both were from the«Authentic Chinese» portion of the menu. The tofu did not taste very good at all. It was not sour/spoiled, but the flavor of this dish seemed just off. Either way, it did not taste very good. The Beef Tendon Noodle Soup tasted OK, but the portion was not very big for $ 7, and the tendon was poor quality. Very little beef in it. Overall, I was disappointed.
