Karate Dave is super fun while teaching the kids respect and obedience without the child even realizing they are actually learning some great skills. My son loves his style, and so do we!
My son says, «he helps us do cool stuff, and break boards», and «he has really cool parties at his dojo», and «he tells cool stories sometimes». ;)

We have followed Karate Dave from his previous offerings in the community to his current dojo in Peoria in order to continue the excellent teaching for our daughter and son. From my experiences, I believe the very best characteristics of studying the martial arts are found at this school. It also feels good to support a family business rather than a corporation. Dave connects with the students in a very meaningful way, firm but encouraging. His wife Lisa helps with camps, birthday parties, and works in the front office. Even their son is involved as an upper level student and assistant. Classes are well supervised, structured, and with time and demonstration of self control, the kids can even learn how to spar with pads! Awesome!

This is the coolest karate studio! Two of my boys go here, and they love it! Karate Dave is wonderful with the kids. He is teaching them self defense and respect all while having a great time. The whole family is welcome to stay and watch, and there is a playground if you have little ones that are not in the class. My oldest son participated in a summer camp here as well. He had a blast, and it was the highlight of his summer. I would highly recommend All Star Karate whether for classes, birthday parties, or summer camp. Your kids will love it!

We started with All Star last December when they first opened and just happened to come across them from a referral and was not disappointed. Dave is a great instructor and they have created a fantastic environment for the kids and adults. My son went for 7 months until he earned his green belt and always looked forward to going every week. I would highly recommend them.

My 6 year old daughter is very athletic but very quiet. We drove by this karate studio and she said, «Mommy i want to do karate!» It was the first time she had ever asked to do a sport… I looked into it– they offer a month free to start with no strings attached. so I thought what did i have to lose? We gave it a try, and it’s the best decision I could’ve made for her! In just 2 months she has come out of her shell and absolutely loves going here! Her coaches Alex and Dave are so supportive and give positive feedback to all the kids, as well as corrective feedback when needed. There are kids of all different races and ages that belong to this studio. Everyone is welcome and treated fairly. As soon as she leaves she asks, «When am i coming back?» Try this place out. You won’t be disappointed.

When my wife first suggested the idea of having our daughter go to karate classes, I thought our daughter was too young, but we decided to give the school a try. Fast forward five months and our daughter has not only begun a life of truly being able to defend herself, but also a life filled with focus, discipline and confidence. Karate Dave should be called the child whisperer. He is great with the kids, and the classes focus on really teaching the kids many life long skills. We now consider the fees we pay a true investment in our daughters future. We’ve already noticed a major change in her focus, as well as growth in her leadership skills and confidence. We highly recommend the school, and karate Dave works diligently to ensure the kids grow both in mind and in fitness.

If you want to have fun while getting in shape and learning some martial arts, this place is perfect for the whole family! My three kids have been going to Karate Dave back when he was teaching class at Master Coronas. Now that he has his own school, I have also starting going to the family classes with them. We go 2 days a week for the family class and then on friday for sparring class. I stay 1 night a week for the adult class. My kids love it (they have all earned 5 belts under Karate Dave) and I am totally hooked. I am getting in great shape and learning awesome moves at the same time. Karate Dave makes all the classes fun and educational.
You never want the classes to end, be ready to sweat!
