I was in the market for new saddle bags for my Victory motorcycle and was told by Stokes Victory Polaris they don’t carry anything new but they might have something used — which they did. We agreed on an out-the-door price, and I returned a couple hours later to pick up the bike with the hard, lockable saddlebags installed. Everything looked good until I asked about the key to lock/unlock the bags and was told since it was used they didn’t have the keys.(Although I didn’t say this, I would have appreciated knowing this before I agreed to purchase! Not having an essential part of the product is definitely something that should have been mentioned.) The gentleman, who I found out was the owner, told me I could pay a locksmith $ 40 to get them re-keyed or they would remove the bags but I would still have to pay labor which was more than $ 40. I then asked if Stokes would pay to have them re-keyed — which seems like reasonable request to me since it was implied they had the hardware! I swear nothing more than this was said and the gentleman(remember this is the owner) stood up and said, «I don’t do arguing. If you don’t want to pay it, then just take the bags off and pay for labor…» and walked out. After standing a minute a bit shocked at the sudden escalation, I told the mechanic I’d pay. I’m active duty military and not accustomed to such unprofessionalism. Stokes Victory saved themselves 40 dollars but lost the business of an avid Victory rider and seriously, who sells a lockable bag without a key!

This place is a shining example of the way a place is supposed to be run. Well organized and honest. The shop guys do great work and shoot straight with you. I did have issues with a bike that didn’t fall under warranty, and they were there to listen and help me through the issue. Have you been looking to bring a victory into your family? Come here and get treated right.
