Georgio’s Authentic Greek Food

After serval days of ocean fare my husband desired something else … Not usually a fan of Greek Food because as a child I lived on Crete and great Greek Food is hard to find… However at this little road side food truck success was had !! Some of the best Greek Food I have experienced on this continent !!!

Full flavor Greek cooking! Get over the appearance and enjoy fantastic food! You will not be sorry. Be sure your entire party eats though… you would not want to be the only one in group with after breath! We go to Perdido 5 or so times per year… try to stop by on each trip.

Drop everything you are doing right now and go get a gyro at this place. It’s a roadside food stand, seating is two picnic tables on indoor/​outdoor carpet and it was the most perfect post-​beach meal I’ve ever had. My husband had a gyro also, and an order of fries with tzatziki. The tzatziki is garlicky and amazing, crazy fresh feta, and a heap of meat and veg on a pillowy pita — standard gyro construction, but PERFECT execution. We’re in heaven and already plotting when we can drive to Perdido next to eat here. Five glowing stars for casual and quality.

The best Greek food around the area (even though it’s the only place, I still mean that as a good thing!). You’ve heard it before but don’t judge a book by its cover. Very casual but pretty authentic tasting. Closed Mondays and only open until 6 so get in early!

Holy cow! This was the best gyro I’ve ever had. Or rather half a gyro because it was huge. Thr flavor was incredible, with just a hint of spice. A must try if you’re in the area.
The baklava was a generous portion, but not the greatest flavor.

Every other review would lead you to believe this place has the best gyro you’ll ever eat. Everything is pretty good and it’s worth the money. Subtle flavor does not win the day here though. Georgio’s goes overboard with the feta and onions. Gyro was the best I’ve had in this area however food around Pensacola tends to be below average. The loaded fries were smothered in feta and the fries were soggy but saved by the freshness of the veggies and that their meat is very well seasoned. I’d go back but probably ask for no onions because it seems like they use them in the tzatziki and in the meat.

Wow! That is all I have to say, the gyros here are absolutely amazing. Mouthwatering good. The menu is small and perfect (Just like In N Out). My husband loved chatting with the (owners?) while we waited. Their sauce is perfectly spiced, refreshing and perfectly «spicy.» We will definitely be coming back!

I have attempted to stop at this place several times. He has weird hours. Closed often. Great food, but total letdown when you get there and realize they are closed that day.

Food absolutely delicious, fresh, and cheap. Outdoor food-​truck style eating, two picnic tables under cover, several more on the property. Dog friendly (owner’s dog hangs out here). Call before going, as there seems to be no regular schedule, particularly off-​season.

Finally found a decent gyro in Pensacola. Outdoor dining only. Heavy on the garlic yes but hey its Greek! I will be going back. The loaded fries are a meal by itself. Go hungry, leave happy.

You know what damn good gyro and the chicken kabab is hands down my favorite at georgios. Don’t go nuts with extra sauce when you order though. He does not skimp on the garlic in his homemade sauce and it could get overpowering if you go all out. Definitely a recommend though folks.

We finally made it to Georgio’s Authentic Greek Food this Sunday afternoon. It’s a small food truck with a few outdoor seating. Nothing fancy with a small menu. We tried Gyro and Greek Burger. The bread was soft and nicely toasted. The both gyro meat and the burger meat was very well seasoned. The sauce, the sauce! was devilishly garlicky! love it love it love it. Georgio and the lady (assuming the daughter?) were super nice. Great food, great price, great people. If you happen to be in the area, must give it a try. We are trying the loaded fries next time!

A nondescript roadside hut — don’t judge this place by its cover. Georgios is there serving the food himself. Ordered the gyro; it was served quickly and was delicious. Georgios didn’t skimp on the feta or tzatziki sauce — the gyro was absolutely loaded. Overall, this was a great gyro for the price and is definitely worth a quick stop if you’re driving by or in the area. I’ll be back.

Great food fresh cheap local. Great family owns this food truck. You can call in your order. They only take cash.

My friend and I just found the best hole in the wall Greek place. They didn’t have a huge selection on their menu but what they did have was one of the BEST Gyros and Chicken Kabob we’ve ever had and Oh my goodness the loaded fries were so bomb! Jordan valley has nothing on this place. If you’re look for authentic Greek food make your way out to The original Georgio’s near Perdido Beach. We defiantly just devoured and inhaled our sandwiches and fries in 10 minutes. This place is worth checking out you won’t be disappointed I promise!

Unbelievably good food. My only complaint is my onion/​garlic breath after eating here, which is a small
price to pay for the delicious magic this guys cooks up

I am literally obsessed with this place! I lived in Pensacola for a few months and ate here almost every week. I tell everyone I know that lives in P-​Cola or will be visiting to eat here and i make sure to stop every time I am in town. I am so in love with this place I don’t even know how to describe the food other than to say it is hands down the BEST greek food I have ever had… do yourself a favor and go here, you will LOVE IT!

I had the gyro and my wife had the chicken kabob. Really delicious going down just as long as you don’t mind burping it up the rest of the day. So full of garlic it stayed with us all day. Even brushing our teeth a few times couldn’t shake the over powering garlic flavor.
We give it 4 out of 5 burps. Not kidding either!!! Ooompa pa pa!

I have driven by this place account. Well today is the day, because it’s the day that I see a line at this dumpy little stand. When I say dumpy little stand I don’t want to over exaggerate but it could dump. And the original Georgio’s authentic Greek food couldn’t shoot it better except food is fantastic. The people here are fantastic. So dump you’re not the beauty isn’t what you see, but what you put in your mouth.
I Georgio’s Greek food really can run circles around any Greek restaurant specially in these parts. This tiny little trailer packs A lethal punch. With items such as gyros, chicken kebabs, biftaki and spanakopita this truly is a huge huge little trailer. I ordered the Gyro, what a lethal sandwich. And not lethal in a bad way but in a great way. It is the best Gyro I’ve ever had. However, the sauce is very strong, very garlicky and very strong.
I want to try the chicken kebabs next however, I also want to try the biftaki, the Greek salad, and the spanakopita, so there be a lot of next. I hope you all don’t rush down here because there was a line this time and I imagine is Giorgio’s continues the winds will get longer and longer.

Georgio makes one awesome Gyro! packed with meat and flavor! We eat a lot of Greek cuisine and we come here for Gyro.
And if you get your car stuck in the sand behind it, they will dig you out at no extra charge!
