Our second gallery night but this time with our 6 year old. I recommend going early to avoid the party crowd as much as possible. The performers were a hit as was the booths and characters downtown. Be advised the drinks are served on the street for this wishing to partake. We also did a horse and carriage ride which was fantastic and very informative of the historic locations downtown Pensacola. Worth checking out once a month.

Every chance I get to go to Gallery Night, I’m there! The energy that you get from locals, businesses, and tourists is incredible! I feel at times people can have a bit too much to drink, but still giving this a 5-Star review because law enforcement is there to control the scene.

Oh how I miss the days of old. Just recently went back to Gallery Night after many years absent and was pretty disappointed. Gallery Night used to be about art and sophistication; finger sandwiches and a glass of wine at a gallery trying to sell it’s product. Now it is debauchery, too much alcohol and pretty much a young persons street party. If that’s what you’re looking for … You found it. As for me, I won’t go back.

Great time. Wear comfortable shoes. Loved the fact that all of the art galleries were still open so that you could look at and buy various pieces of art. Almost all of the galleries had live music being provided by pretty talented artists. As the other reviewer said, think Mardi Gras without all the unsavory things. All of the local restaurants and bars participate and you have access to drinks every few feet. A few food trucks were out as well for those who do not mind eating and walking. Ample parking nearby. Update: I was corrected… only six gallery nights per year.

…think of Mardi Gras. minus the trash, vomit, debauchery & boobies. Gallery Night is free and it’s encouraged by local downtown businesses such as Hopjacks Taproom, O’Rileys Irish Pub, Artel Gallery, The Bodacious Olive, and about 45 other Downtown businesses. It happens one Friday a month starting from Adonna’s Bakery & Café at 114 S. Palafox Pl all the way to the Al Fresco Food Trucks at 501 S Palafox St.(and even pass that going towards the water by Plaza De Luna Pier where the yachts are. It’s very family oriented and to be able to taste the local great dining we have downtown while listening to local musical artists fill the Streets of Palafox(voted one of America’s best streets btw) with a ice cold drink in my hand or to just explore the local art galleries that feature up and coming artists is a cool way to end my work-week Friday. The City closes off the streets to traffic around 5pm, giving it that Bourbon St. feel.(minus the pickpocketing and strippers) so yay, bring the fam! All in all I look forward to it every month and I hope they continue this tradition. If you haven’t been, it’s worth a trip to try and hit it up every month.
