Absolutely loved the atmosphere, food and drinks! The owner introduced himself and his wife. My husband and I had the Brie as starters. It tasted like cheesecake with a berry reduction with hints of basil. Our next course was scallops and salmon. The scallops were perfectly cooked. The outside was seared and blackened with a dab of sauce on them. The salmon was fresh and grilled with a light caper butter. The service was excellent. Dan shared his extensive knowledge of scotch with us. We enjoyed the discussion and time he spent with us. Great place. We will definitely be back again!

Pleasantly surprised! We have passed by several times, reluctant to stop since it never appears busy. We are stumped as to why because the staff and the food were excellent! The chef checked on us a couple of times and made conversation about his dishes. The scotch egg was the perfect appetizer. My husband ordered scallops and gave them two thumbs up. I had the pollo carciofi which was creamy and delicate tasting. The crème brûlée is a must try! We will be going back very soon!

Awesome meal! Loved the friendly owner/chef. Everything made from scratch and you can tell much pride and thought is out into each dish/sauce. Definitely highly recommend. Everyone very accommodating. Great surprise in a little town. Definitely with going out of the way for!

I want to give this restaurant a raving 5 review with our first visit. We started the perfect evening with Scotch class 101 by Don. He knew everything about it’s history and shared his knowledge as if he had all day. He took his time without hurry, his passion for people and restaurantearing evident with every detail and we all felt this was sheer delight! From perfect presentation of appetizers to desserts the meal was a delicious culinary experience. Our palates were amazingly satisfied. The prices were very reasonable for the upscale food. Atmosphere of historical brick walls, wooden floors, fresh flowers on each candle lit crisp linen table made our celebration of a life event more perfect. Thanks for providing us with a treasured memory of elegant delicious dining. We will be going back. Our only regret is not finding this jewel close to home sooner.

Went there with a group of 6. The food and beverages were great however they weren’t busy by any means. But the service was very very. Slow not sure we will return. A shame for a nice place in Pendleton We always like to support local businesses.

We had Jamaican Jerk Chicken and Hawaiian Style Kalua Pork both were excellent. They were moist and had a variety of flavors. The mango chutney and salsa again they were a nice addition. The owner came to our table to check on food. The waiter was funny and helpful. I hope the people of Hamilton and Madison county realize they have this excellent restaurant that is out of the ordinary. We drive from Broad Ripple to this excellent restaurant.

We gathered for a dinner with friends. Madison’s came recommended. Gotta say I was not overly impressed. The drinks were great! App was ok, scotch eggs. Felt that the egg should not have been SO hard. The vichyssoise I thought would come cold but was warm and just ok. The tomato bisque tasted like plain tomato paste. We ordered steak, half chicken, chicken piccata, pulled pork, arrabbiata with house sausage, pollo… can’t remember the spelling. The steak was tender and well prepared. My friend enjoyed the half chicken but didn’t expect it to be covered in gravy. Chicken piccata was apparently very good as our friend ate it all! The pork was dry and my friend did not eat it because she didn’t care for it. The arrabbiata was not spicy at all, but was ok. The last chicken dish was also average. Desert was also again ok. Truffles had odd flavored sauces except for the salted Carmel, which was good. The cannoli was not my favorite. Cream brûlée was good. I guess I was expecting to be wowed by a new great culinary experience and that didn’t happen. Only three stars from me, for the price and the lack of expectations met, we probably won’t go back again. Really bummed was hoping to find a new spot that was close to home.

I ate dinner there twice. The chef really knows how to cook. Not much atmosphere but who cares. Go for the food and friendly wait staff. Daily specials are always interesting. A new expansion will be opening soon. This is a destination restaurant. Come to Pendleton and you will agree.

Food tasted great. Perfect temperature and timely. Very friendly wait staff, though a bit lacking in knowledge of the dishes. Breadsticks with combination butter. My wife and I split the blackened chicken Caesar Salad with the best seasoning I’ve had, creamy potato leek soup, fantastic shrimp scampi, and finished off with the a crunchy, creamy, sweet cannoli. Great meal at a good value in Pendleton. If you’re going to go out make it be someplace memorable like Madison’s.

I hope everyone that visits this establishment has an opportunity to tour the kitchen and meet the owners… top notch quality and class in Pendleton. The chef is very conscientious about everything the restaurant serves. From the abundance of fresh herbs and traditional European cooking techniques to the fact that they don’t serve anything with high fructose corn syrup, including the soft drinks. They do have coke and sprite but it comes from Mexico and is sweetened with cane sugar. But all that great food would be lacking if it wasn’t for the classic cocktails made with the best small batch spirits by the chefs partner behind the bar. Hands down the best Gin martinis! Come early and stay late.
