(Abraham) Depew Park is a gem hidden in plain sight in the middle of Peekskill. Great for walking. Many wooded trails(some paved and some not). Quiet. Peaceful. Safe. Few streams, ponds and lakes such as Lake Mitchell While Riverfront Green Park has more scenic views with the Hudson, we prefer Depew Park for walking and hiking. A typical route for us is 2.5 miles. Longer trails also available that extend into Blue Mountain Reservation, owned by Westchester County. For color coded trails, check out this map: For joggers, there is Torpy Field with ¼ mile padded track. Free parking too.
