If you’re in the area, don’t miss an opportunity to visit Peppoli! A lot of the food reminded me of the dishes I had when I was in Italy. All the food was fresh and delicious. Their wine collection is incredible. I recommend trying their house wine, the Peppoli brand, but they have a large variety so I’m sure they carry your go-to bottle.

I’d actually go 4 ½ stars if it were an option. We ate here while staying at the Inn at Spanish Bay and found the food, service and atmosphere to all be terrific. As with most restaurants in California the wine list was extensive and contrary to some other reviews I didn’t find it horribly overpriced — we found a bottle that retails for around $ 35 in the store on their list for $ 70. We had a steak dish and a fish dish and both were perfectly prepared, ample portions and nicely presented. The salads and appetizers were also excellent and really the only thing knocking off ½ a star is the fact that there’s nothing terribly unique about their menu.

5 flipping stars for sure. Second year in a row we’ve eaten here and it’s nothing less than sensational. Our server Paige was great, spaced and paced our meal perfectly. We enjoyed the polenta sausage appetizer, the bolognese and the simply perfect lasagna with filter Mignon inside! Go enjoy this place, you won’t regret it.

Prime rib(Friday’s only) is the best I have ever had! Gnocchi is so light and fluffy it alarmist melts In your mouth. Service from back waiter was spot on, front waiter a little slow to the table yet still 5 stars. Of course the view… Amazing.

The gnocchi was rich and cheesy perfection. The buffalo mozzarella was the perfect However the orecchiette with sausage and a pesto cream sauce may very well have been the best I’ve had. The pasta was perfectly al dente, the sausage had a perfect salty and spicy combination while the pesto cream sauce balanced out the flavors for what was a perfect meal.

We LOVE Peppoli! We eat there every chance we get and it is worth every penny. I crave their tomato bread soup almost every day. Every choice on the menu is a good one and the service has always been flawless and friendly. Big shout out to Tim and the whole staff who are always gracious and wonderful. Thank you all. Oh! and stop into Traps next door if you’re early for your reservation, great bar.

You know, sometimes I wish I couldn’t taste the difference between good and great food. Because then I wouldn’t know the difference between Olive Garden and this amazing Tuscan style manna. The highlights of the meal were the entrées: I got Osso Bucco and wife got pasta with wild boar meat sauce. Both were outstanding. So good and such generous servings that we both ate ourselves to the brink. Perfectly spiced and cooked. Best we have had since our trip to Tuscany. Oh yeah. There is the view at sunset over the seaside holes and the seranade by bagpipe. Not too shabby of a way to end the day. So, if you love great food and views, do yourself a favor. Eat here.

Staying here at the Inn at Spanish Bay we decided our 1st evening we should stay in house & try the Italian Place everyone talk about. Beautiful Venue — overlooking the property out to the Pacific Ocean. Seated just as Sun was setting allowed us to really enjoy the ambiance. Wine list completely and utterly overpriced sorry but they are crazy. Found a $ 60.00 value which as a decent Sangenovise but 350% mark up… STOP We are already at $ 899.00 a night for the suites you have to take our knee caps off with the wine? Order Special Lobster Bisque around the table and it simply as OK… no hints of Sherry or Lobster for that matter more like a light cream of Tomato Soup. Still waiting on our Wine as Server PAIGE deicdes to engage in multiple conversations with her other tables holding our wine hostage as she pours decanted wines in various glasses. My Guess is our«LOWENDPRICEDWINE» she has us pegged as cheap and goes off to handle her high end wine patrons. Finally get wine & the bread was fairly mundane as well. Next course we all split 6 of us 3 pastas as appetizers… 1 Hour wait for pasta from Soup. told that each order is homemade and made to order. The Pasta Carbonara was split for two $ 23.00 barely enough for two spoonfulls each, but it was really outstanding. Sorry they have to be so portion conscience The Lasangna was a dissapointment while the past with broccoli Rabe and sausage was good but could not find any sausage at all. Keeping it very simple we had 3TBONE Steaks served table siide they are made for splitting at $ 96.00 each and we did via 6 persons. Served with Greens and utterly tasteless potatoes… But he Steak was 5STAR really outstanding. We also ordered two special Mushroom Rissottos $ 30.00 per order. HMMM they were excellent as well. Passed on Coffee and desert as meal took too much time and we were last in the place. service improved after Page’s heavy hitters left, but 1 hour between courses unacceptable. On Property 1 time hit OK but I’d visit other options in the future if I were to return here… Knocks off fort timing, service and overpriced wines…

This restaurant is one of the BEST on the peninsula. Not only is the found outstanding but the service is impeccable. I just ate there 2 nights in a row. Had the filet with a Caesar salad minus the anchovies the first night and sea bass with a Caesar salad minus the anchovies the next night. Both meals were cooked to perfection. If you’re in the area this place is a MUST!!!’

2nd time to this fantastic restaurant. We were(surprisingly) able to get a reservation at 7:30pm on the Friday of the AT&T Pro-am. My wife and I had the Calamari, Arugula salad, Tomato-bread soup, Osso Buco, Pappardelle, and Sorbets for dessert. They were all excellent! The Tomato-bread soup was especially great if you traditionally like tomato soups. The service was also excellent. Our server Mark was very kind and constantly attentive to us. If you happen to go during the day, try to get a table by the windows or outside. The view is just as good as the food!

Gli spaghitti alla carbonara erano incredibile, la frittura di pesce anche. La cosa più bella che i pitti erano abbondanti!!! Buon Lavoro!

We arrived around 7 and got a great table by the window where my Babe and I could watch the Sunset. After we ordered our Whiskies, we had a chance to take a good look at this romantic and beautiful dining room. The décor of the room coupled with the views of the golf course and ocean make this place so gorgeous. Before we could order, the Mgr had already sent us a couple of appetizers as a special treat. The Sausage platter, Calamari Misto and the Prosciutto and Cheese board were divine. Full of flavor and beautifully presented. Fort Dinner, we ordered the Bolognese and the Filet Lasagna. Both Pasta dishes were awesome. Very tasty and yummy. Throw in the great service and beautiful view and we will be back!

I guess I should knock this place back to reality. I had spaghetti, chicken, and a caesar salad and only the chicken was above average. The caesar was average… not great, not horrible. Lettuce was green, which is to be expected from an establishment that charges this much. The spaghetti was bland and seemed overly sauced. The chicken was quite good, very juicy and tender but not worth the cost at all. I understand this is an expensive neighborhood but compared to Roy’s, also on property at the Inn at Spanish Bay, I’d go for Roy’s 9⁄10 meals. I ordered from Peppoli via Inn at Spanish Bay room service so there is of course a slightly longer delay in getting the food to me that could contribute to my less than great experience, but It just didn’t seem to be a place that is truly great or even good Italian food.

Four stars for incredible food, atmosphere, view and special occasion treatment. We enjoyed everything but the polenta salsiccia appetizer, the pasta agilo e olio and the stuffed pork chop were standouts. Not a perfect evening for two reasons — first, they had our reservation for 8:15, we thought we made a 7:15 reservation, and there was a little more drama with the maître d’ than there should have been. They did seat us before 8:15 ultimately so we reached a compromise but it was not exactly a smooth transaction. Secondly — this resort caters to former frat guy douchebags. These drunk, loud jerks were everywhere, boasting about their golf games, leering at female staff and treating everyone like garbage. As wonderful as our meal was, I will not return to this restaurant or this resort because of these guests.

I came here for a fabulous dinner party of twenty. The wine was superb. The staff was attentive. The appetizers were delicious. It was when I received my scallops dish and took a bite that I knew something was wrong. I leaned in and smelled the the most foul odor. I hung in there and kissed my friends goodbye, as I felt increasingly queasy. One hour after going to bed, I woke up and RAN to the bathroom. I slept on the tile that night and was sick for two days. I’m sure this doesn’t always happen, but I expect a chef to monitor the quality of his fish a bit better than this – especially for the high price.

We went to a special dinning event last night. Marchese Piero Antinori wine dinner. Festive, fun, and fabulous food. Service was fine, wine excellent, food unique. This has been my 2nd visit in the last month. Price point is expensive, but worth it. If you’re looking for that special occasion place, this is an option. Ingredients are fresh, farm to table so to speak… staff very friendly, wine selection fab! The room is warm Tuscan motif. Bar out front serves a perfect martini. We had pork roast, fish, beef cheeks… all perfect. Gelato for dessert is a must if you’re a fan of it. We applaud chef Angela Tamura and her team. Love it here…
