This place is pretty good if not pricey. For lunch it works great. You wouldn’t expect it in a Bass Pro shop, but there it is. The aquarium is also pretty cool. I like their fish n chips. I sometimes come here for a drink while window shopping for guns and boats, neither of which pairs well with alcohol, so the irony amuses me as I pick up a golfing shirt instead.

We decided to try this restaurant yesterday for lunch. It was a Saturday and the first day of their Winterfest(pics with Santa). We got to the restaurant about 12:35. It was my husband, our two small kids and me. We ordered our food not long after being seated. Our waiter was not very attentive. After about 45 minutes of waiting and still not getting our food we asked that our meals be boxed to-go, since the kids were getting restless. That took another 15 min. Sadly, all we ordered were very basic fried items: kids corn dogs, kids chicken tenders, their fried fish platter, and a salad with chicken. These are not complicated items and should not take over an hour to prepare and serve(it wasn’t ridiculously busy yet). Once we got home to eat our food I realized my salad order was incorrect. I was given a house salad when I ordered a Cobb with chicken added. The manager was apologetic when I called to inform of the issue. They replaced with no problem. This was our first time trying this place — we will certainly never return.

The other reviews are accurate. Food is passable, but management needs quite a bit of work. We waited 30 minutes to have our order taken and another 30+ minutes for our appetizers to come out. No drink refills, and we had to ask multiple times just to get a straw. The place is insanely understaffed. There were a few large parties that resulted in the main dining room being a ghost town. Like I said before, the food is passable. Stick with the fries stuff and you will be ok. The fish tacos I had were enough to feed an army and my son enjoyed the corn dogs. That being said, my time is valuable and this place stole it.

Unfortunately I can’t assign a negative star rating. The service was abysmal and the food as worse. Took almost an hour to get our food, the waitress was inattentive and required being asked nine(9) times just to get a refill on tea. This was our first and LAST visit to this establishment.

Called during the week asked if reservations are required for a party of 25 and was told no, it wasn’t busy on Sunday afternoons, arrived at 5pm, manager told the party that they should have called. We had to sit in three separate areas. Asked for children menus 4 times, I had to finally get them myself. No silverware until we asked at least 5 times. Ordered drinks, had to wait 20 min for those, ordered food and 1 hr later we got our food and it was luke warm. This is the second time we have been here and it will be the last. Poor service and cold food

Hubby ordered Tuna cooked medium and it came out almost raw. Son ordered the kids sliders — they literally cut a hamburger patty in half and then cut that in half to make 2 sliders. can’t even make two little patties???

Great surprise. Very friendly bartender and grabbed a lunch. Tasty salmon. Option for covered outdoor patio over the pond or inside with huge saltwater tank for ambiance. Worth the trip for very different experience in a store.

My son and I were shopping at Bass Pro Shop and decided to try the restaurant. The dining area wasn’t well kept with dirty plates on several tables and the wait staff were not welcoming at all, they all acted like they didn’t want to be there. The food was tasty but not worth going back for.

Generally, I would never think to eat in a Bass Pro Shop, but this location in Pearland is not your typical BPS. It is massive, and as such, has this huge, beautiful, seafood restaurant contained within the store. The restaurant is lined on one side with a giant 1000 gallon aquarium and on the other side with floor to ceiling windows overlooking a small lake. It’s really a pleasant atmosphere and feels like one of the higher end chains, like maybe a Bonefish Grill or something… We wanted the snow crab legs we saw on the menu, but noticed the table next to us complaining about how small they were… and they were VERY small and VERY obviously not the 1.5 lbs advertised in the menu. When we asked the waiter about it, he said that they vary in size and he wouldn’t recommend getting them right now. Their current stock is small. We’re very happy he told us, but thought that the restaurant should not knowingly serve undersized portions that don’t jive with what’s advertised in the menu. The food we ended up ordering was good… my work buddy and I started off with the fried alligator. It was served with a green sauce that kind of tasted like queso… interesting, but good. We then each had the signature dish, the Islamorada fish special. We stuck with tilapia rather than upgrading to grouper. The fish was good, but the cream lobster sauce was just ok. The plate was also served with grilled shrimp mixed into the sauce and they were a bit overcooked. The service was great. Thomas took care of us, made some good suggestions, and provided for funny and entertaining conversation. BOTTOMLINE: A surprisingly good place to grab lunch inside of this Bass Pro Shop.

The food isn’t awful, but the service is beyond awful. Our server was pleasant enough, but we never got refills on our drinks, our food came out at different times, and the chicken I ordered with my salad never came. The server assured me it was on the way, but it never got to the destination. Of course, we still got charged for it.

Just stop here during a short shopping spree. Food was not good. Calamari was mediocre. Fried crawfish was over cook. Place was empty but it took forever to the server to take the order. The bring appetizers but not the plates and silverware. At the end, the server didn’t even bring us water… In general, service was bad.

The hamburger with bacon was extremely good. The bacon was thick and smokey tasting. Service was ok. It was a slow day and it seemed as though it took a little longer to get waited on. It looked as though they were going through a server staff transition. I used the servers name five times and she never mentioned my name after giving her my credit card. They need to work a little on service standards. Overall it was good.

This was an unexpected place to eat. The fried wahoo fish tacos were very very good, and large as well. Whatever you order, the portions are Texas sized… So keep that in mind. My friend tells me that the grilled tilapia order was unimpressive… I tried a bite, and I agree with her. Over all, a nice place and the wait staff was very nice.

This unique restaurant is hidden inside of Bass Pro Shop. They have a wide selection of seafood dishes including salads and sandwiches. The sugar topped loaves of bread that are served before the meal are delicious. Today I had the fish and chips. The batter is light and crunchy and the tartar sauce is excellent. I would have rated it higher if the food had not been so salty. It’s a good choice for a business lunch. They also have a huge party room that can be reserved.

Dear God, do not get the shrimp and grits. While both of the components are very much present, they are overwhelmed by a sea of sauce that make it feel more like a soup than the dishes namesake. The service is good though. Our big lunch party was well accommodated and the server was polite. This was my second time there. I’d go back, but probably order something else.

Business lunch. The app was good. I had the pecan salmon and double the vegs. Service was quick. All at the table ate it up. Mostly business people in but it wasn’t busy for lunch. Could be the location isn’t convenient for the mid-week lunch crowd. A really good lunch.

This was very good! Reasonably priced, good service and good food. It is worth the trip here for the fried crawfish tails appetizers alone! Beer battered and the best I ever had. Don’t miss this place!

If I could give zero stars, I would. So tonight was a first. We decided to try the restaurant at Bass Pro Shop in Pearland because I’d heard from several people that it’s good– especially the bread. Showed up around 5:30PM, hardly a soul in there. Hostess handed 2 menus off to someone else, then started checking her cell phone. Drinks came and my Diet Coke was flat. Bread was stale. We ordered an appetizer and 45 minutes later, still nothing. Waiter blamed it on a 10 second power outage(Literally 10 seconds), that the computers were down so he could not put our order in. Guess he forgot how to talk or use a piece of paper. We waited at least 15 – 20 minutes after the power went out. I’m not a cook, but I eat a lot of calamari and it only takes a few minutes to fry. The few tables there are looked very irritated and based on conversations that I’d overhead, this was going to be the norm this evening. Waiter did not come back to apologize for the wait, manager was no where to be found, hostess ended up at the bar watching TV. Several waiters walked right past our table and never said a thing, when it was clear we’d be there for awhile and still had nothing on our table. I can understand a wait if the place is busy, but there were MAYBE6 tables in the whole place. I told my husband that I was leaving. He, being such a good guy, wanted to ask for change and pay for my soda and his tea. I said screw it and we left. I’ve eaten at A LOT of restaurants and have never walked out, and would usually NEVER walk out if I owed money. But I don’t feel bad about it at all. What horrible service. I’d be shocked if this place stays in business.

Dinner at Bass Pro? I’ve passed this place up so many times while hunting for bargains in Basa Pro’s clearance items, but last night decide to try it. The stuffed venison mushrooms are pretty damn good. They’re absolutely horrible for you, but they’re good. We didn’t get any of this bread everyone is talking about, nor did I see any come out of the kitchen, so maybe they’ve stopped serving it? Either way, I ended up taking half my burger home(they let you substitute grilled chicken at no extra cost). I had the avocado and bacon on a grilled chicken breast and I’ve never had such a generous helping of bacon! The service was friendly and fast, and that porch sure does have a nice view(if you’re facing away from the parking lot!). I will definitely be back to try their smoked wahoo! Now, of only they had a decent beer selection.

This place is such a nice surprise! When a coworker suggested that we go eat dinner inside the Bass Pro Shops, I thought he was crazy. Little did I know that there was a full restaurant with a huge beautiful fish tank behind the bar. This is in the Bass Pro shops at the corner of 288 and the Beltway. Usually when we want to eat, we have to drive all the way down to Pearland town center at 518 or up to the 610 loop. We once went near where we worked but one of our coworkers was held at gunpoint in a subway :( We had a really early dinner because we had to go back to a work function that evening, so our service was wonderful and very attentive, but we were the only people in the place at 5pm. There are three large distinct eating areas including a bar area with tables and booths, a large sun room with brighter décor and a fireplace, and a screened in porch with lots of outdoor seating. The bread that is served before the meal is really good. It has a sugar topping on it that makes it just the right level of sweetness. Our entrees came out quickly. My friend’s salad was large and good. My pulled bbq pork sandwich was average, not great and not bad, but I didn’t like the cole slaw. My sandwich plus soda and tax was all under $ 11, not bad for lunch! Overall, this is a great restaurant in an area devoid of restaurants. 4 star for the area, but really a 3 star restaurant. I definitely plan on visiting again… soon!
