Carla and Stephania are excellent hairdressers. I have difficult hair but I am satisfied with coloring, haircuts, and styling every single time. They are friendly, professional, and helpful. Do you want to know the best secret? Their prices are REASONABLE. They go out their way to give you great service and to make you look great. There is a bonus, you don’t have to park on the street. There is always plenty of parking.

The new owners of Wavelengths Salon are fabulous. Carla and Rosalie are true professionals and the team is excellent. Absolute color experts… if you have had any issues with color in the past, go to Wavelengths Salon! Their color and technique is top notch and you will be amazed at how healthy and shiny your hair is. I have been a client of Carla’s for several years and my hair has improved in color, shine and health. No more commuting to Newbury Street for my hair! Yea! It’s wonderful to come to a salon to relax and treat yourself. that feels like home… no stress, no attitude… just down to earth, fashion forward color stylist pros, whose top priority is making you look and feel your best.

No more Newbury street for me! The stylists Carla and Stefanie have both done my hair far better than any Newbury Street stylist I’ve ever gone to! They use top of the line product for keratin blowout and they do it perfectly leaving your hair with lots of volume. Both stylists can look at my hair and know exactly what to do for cut and color without me telling them, it’s like sitting in front of an artist. I recently did tape in extensions and they are just amazing. My husband didn’t even know they were extensions because they were placed in just the right spots and Stefanie matched my hair perfectly. Hey I’m 40 and still want a healthy looking head of hair. All the celebrities wear them now so why can’t we? They are definitely affordable here and they look natural. I live an hour away from the salon and it is absolutely worth the drive.

Wavelengths opened under new management on July 15, 2014. The new owners, Carla and Rosalie, are great. Carla has been a hairstylist in this area since 1998 and has a huge following. She’s been my stylist for more than 10 years(since she fixed a bad haircut someone else gave me) and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I trust her implicitly. She’s great at color, cuts and blowouts. She sees many of my family and friends now too and people always return to her happily. The new salon is beautiful and I can’t wait to see what Carla and Rosalie do with it.

DONOTGOHEREUNDERANYCIRCUMSTANCES. The staff is dismissive, rude, unaccommodating and refuse to accept or acknowledge their mistakes let alone offer something in lieu. Appalling customer service. Melanie has got to be one of the worst individuals and colorist I have ever come across. She is careless, clumsy, and does not know much about hair coloring. We had agreed to give me medium brown highlights during a consultation, picked the color and it was agreed that bleaching was not required. When I began the process, she insisted upon bleaching my hair prior to coloring, and the end result was a disgusting yellowy orange colour despite the hair coloring later. NOTHING like the agreed warm brown highlights in my dark hair that I had wanted. It looked God awful, and she did nothing about it. She was in a rush all throughout(also had jitters from not smoking regularly enough, and reeked of tobacco– so unprofessional), did not appply sufficient color, did not let it sit long enough, so I had strands of uncoloured, just bleached hair that I had to point out, and very weakly dyed hair. Blunder upon blunder. I wasted my precious time, money and landed up being tearful in the car. And I went all the way from Boston to Peabody for their services. STAYAWAY. They are horrible. I had paid for full foil highlights, glossing, shampoo, haircut and style, and let alone the bungling mess that it turned out to be, she conveniently skipped glossing. I was not reimbursed for the unused service. I do not know how this place is in business. It is located in a strip mall, that explains it.
